Chapter 474
Sweet Subterfuge
Larissa made it to the room Gary had booked and found that he was already walling for her inside.
Most of the guests who stayed at the Winston Hotel were wealthy because five thousand dollars was the minimum spending for a room that could only accommodate ten people. Of course, the price per head of eating at the hotelâs restaurant was a lot higher than other places, so nobody had to worry about not spending up to five thousand dollars. However if there were only two people, then it was a different story altogether, Gary handed Larissa the menu and hinted intentionally. âPick the more expensive dishes. However, Larissa felt embarrassed to do so.
âYouâre an esteemed guest at our hotel, so youâre exempt from the minimum spending rule,â she lied.
Anyway, she had a say in these matters after all, She picked two averagelyâpriced dishes and pushed the menu back to him, âHere, see if you would like to add anything.â
she said.
Gary ordered one of each of the most expensive dishes the restaurant had to offer. Larissa roughly calculated the total price, which amounted to almost seven thousand dollars. He was Elthy rich! When the walter heard his order, he couldnât help but gently warn them.â donât think the two of you can finish so much food.â
âItâs okay.â Gary out the menu down calmly and said, âJust take my order.â
âIt is indeed a little too much,â said Larissa. Thinking of how they would waste most of it, she let the pain of Garyâs wallet bleeding. Gary fixed his gaze on her. After making sure that she really meant it and wasnât just trying to be polite, he finally gave in. âPick another three of your favorite dishes besides the two you already ordered. Weâll cancel everything else.â
The remaining dishes on the menu were all the restaurantâs specialties, and Larissa explained the ingredients and preparation methods of each one in detail. Gary listened attentively with a look of admiration in his eyes. âLarissa, are you interested in jumping ship?â asked Gary jokingly, âI can pay you double your cument salary and even the companyâs stock dividends.â
âYou flatter me. Mr. Logan, Larissa smiled and refused his offer politely. âIâm used to working in this industry and I have no plans to change careers for now.â
âWhat a pityâ sighed Gary. âHowever, if you plan to change careers in the future, you can contact me anytime.â
âSure,â promisedLarissa Gary was still as talkative as he was six years ago. He told Larissa the reason for his return to the country and how long he was going to stay without her even needing to ask. I came here with the sole purpose of negotiating a business deal with Soaring Corporation. I should be staying in Bartham for about one week.â
Larissa was confused, âIf youâre here to discuss business with Soaring Corporation, then shouldnât you be staying at their subsidiary hotel the Regal Dynasty? Speaking of her old company, which was also now her biggest competitor, she couldnât help having mixed emotions.
âThat was the original plan, but the presidential suite of the Regal Dynasty was already booked. Iâm a person who wants to have the best option for everything.â Gary said honestly. âThatâs why I picked Winston Hotel in the end. Iâm glad I came here, or I wouldnât have met you.â
Larissa smiled politely.
âIs your hotel an international chain? I spend nearly eleven months a year traveling the world. 111 stay at your hotel from now on,â said Gary.
âYes, we have branches globally. There are more branches in Porshal and in almost every city. In our country, we only have the Bartham branch for now. The companyâs upcoming plan is to develop the Kymin market. Soon, there might be branches of our hotel in every modern city in every country.â
Larissa was in business mode again. T apply for a Platinum VIP card for you later so you may enjoy VIP treatment no matter which branch of the Winston Hotel you visit. You will even be entitled to discounts on the room pricing.â
âThatâs fantastic Gary accepted her offer, but he still didnât want to give up. âDonât you want to consider joining me?â Larissa shook her head fly. The meal did not last for very long.
