Chapter 345
Sweet Subterfuge
Sadly, she would never be able to be with Kevan until the end.
âIf you donât intend to get divorced. I will not tell Kevan about what happened today.â Violet said, âOf course, if you wish to get divorced, I will not stop you. I just hope that you can think it through seriously and discuss it with Keyan, Donât act rashly just because your aunt demanded you to do it.â
Larissa was once again left in a dilemma.
She wanted to get divorced, but she also did not want to upset Violet.
In the end, she said. âTil discuss it with Kevan.â
Her response disappointed Violet a little, but she did not say anything else.
âGood. Once youâve decided, remember to let me know-no matter what the outcome is.â
Violet got Larissa to stay for lunch before letting the driver take her home. The trunk of the car was stuffed full of snacks and supplements by Violet, so that Larissa could consume them slowly back home.
At the foot of the building, Larissa met Lucas, who was pacing like a ghost. She slowed down her actions of getting out of the car. wondering if she should go back inside and come back a few hours later. But the driver had already prepared the wheelchair and reached out in order to support her.
Larissa steeled herself and got out of the car. She figured that she had the driver with her, so she should not fear anything that Lucas might do to her.
Lucas rang the doorbell again, waiting until the calling device hung up automatically, and still no one answered. The moment he turned around, he saw Larissa, who was being pushed over to where he was by the driver.
His eyes brightening, Lucas rushed over and shouted, âLarissa!â
The volume of his shout caused Larissaâs head to hurt a little. Rubbing her temples, she asked. âWhy are you still here?â She had not seen him when she went out and thus, thought that he had left.
âHow can I leave when I have not apologized to you and Mr. Rogers?â Lucas spoke with such righteousness.
âFor goodnessâ sake, Iâve accepted your apology.â Larissa had no energy left to tango with him. âPlease leave! I need to go back for a nap, so I donât have time to entertain you.â
âNor Lucas stuck to her like a lizard and followed her into the building.
The Rogers family driver was quite alert, halting immediately to ask Larissa, âYoung Mrs. Rogers, do you wish to call the police?â
Larissa took the chance to threaten Lucas. âYou heard that? If you donât leave, weâll call the police.â
âI wonât leave even if you do!â Lucas resorted to holding on to her wheelchair. âLarissa, consider this as me begging you.â He suddenly changed his demeanor and pleaded, âCall Mr. Rogers and get him to meet with me, please!â
Lucasâ sincerity caused hints of hesitation to grow in Larissa. She pulled out her phone and said, âI can help you call, but i cannot decide if he will meet you.â
âOf course, of courseâ Lucas exclaimed with desperate excitement.
Larissa called Kevanâs number, and he answered it quickly.
âNeed something?â His tone was cold, just as the way it usually was.
âLucas is here to find you, sald he wants to apologize to you.â Larissa had just finished speaking when Lucas snatched her phone.
âMr. Rogers! I have something very important to tell you! Truly! Very, very, very important
