Chapter 239
Sweet Subterfuge
Chapter 239
Kevan had just finished a meeting when he found out from his secretary that the Cole father-and- son duo had come to find him.
That was within his expectations-as a matter of fact, it was a few days later than he had expected.
Right now, all of the most valuable teams in Summer Entertainment had been pilfered by him. Soon, it would turn into a third-rate film company
But this was not enough
What he wanted was for the Cole family to be finished entirely, without any possibility of making a comeback
âShould anyone from Summer Entertainment come by again, just get security up and throw them out, Kevan ordered coldly,
The secretary acknowledged the order nervously.
When Larissa saw Jay and Dorian checking in at the hotel lobby, she thought she was sering things.
Not daring to let them notice her, she stood quietly in the corner and observed for a while. Once they went upstairs, she ran over to the front desk to confirm what she saw. âWere those two checking in to our hotel?â
âYeah! They asked for two executive suites!â Livie tutted Talready told them that one suite would be enough for two, but they insisted on having two Honestly, the minds of the wealthy are a mystery to us broke people â
Larissa was not surprised about that. After all, Kevan and Dylan had two different suites when they last stayed here
What she really wanted to know was the duration of their stay. So she asked, âHow long will they be staying?â
âTwo nights,â Live replied honestly.
âTheir room numbers?â
Livie reported two consecutive numbers, which Larissa took care to remember. She told herself that she must do her best to avoid them.
But sometimes, some things in this world happened to be remarkably coincidental.
At 8 pm, Larissa packed up and prepared to clock out Suddenly, she got a call saying that a guest was making a complaint and was demanding to see the manager. The room number reported by the assistant just so happened to be one of the Cole rooms.
Larissa pulled back the foot she had set out and instructed her assistant, âGet the deputy manager to go over. He is on duty tonight. Iâm leaving now Lana had previously introduced her job to the Coles, so they should be aware that she was Regal
âNana, thank you so much for today!â Jay said with gratitude.
âNo problem!â Lana led them past the access gate before joining them in the elevator.
âMr. Rogersâ presidential office is on the 69th floor. Just head up. This visitor pass is not department-
specific. But you have to return them to me before you leave. I have to return them to my supervisor,â
she reminded them.
Jay and Reuben successfully made their way to the 69th floor. However, they were stopped again when they reached the presidential offiorâs doors
They displayed their visitor passes. âWeâre here to see Mr. Rogers.â
âDo you have an appointment?â The presidential office was a little stricter with visitors as it held the companyâs most classified documents.
Jay pendered for a moment before deciding to lie. âYes, we made one.â Jay thought Kevan would not kick them out once he had seen them However, his little wishful thinking was not fulfilled.
When Kevanâs secretary did not find their names on the visitor appointment list, she unceremoniously asked them to leave.
Standing outside the presidential office of Microworks, Jay was so angry that he kept gritting his
teeth
Reuben, on the other hand, texted Lana and said, Iâll follow your planâ

Lana had previously introduced her job to the Coles, so they should be aware that she was Regal
Dynastyâs hicusekeeping manager. If it was a normal complaint, having the deputy manager there was the same thing. But if they were targeting her⦠it was even more important that she could not be seen
Larissa always put her work first. Sometimes, even when she had already gone home, she would come back to the hotel if anything happened. After having been with her for about a year or so, this was the first time her assistant had seen her shirk her duties.
The assistant figured she had something important to do tonight, so she did not bother her further.
âOkay, Iâll call the deputy manager at once.
However, the assistant called her again when Larissa arrived on the first floor âMs. Seymour, the guest said that he had to see you Otherwise, heâs going to complain to the general manager about our whole department!â
After hearing the panicked tone of her assistantâs voice, it was clear that the quest was difficult to deal with, and Larissa already knew this while she was at the Seymour family home. She really did not want to deal with the Coles but it was like this now..
âLet the quest wast for a few minutes Iâll head up now.
The assistant was relieved âOkay, thanks!â
The assistant was waiting for her at the elevator. When the doors opened, she caught onto Larissaâs hand at once.
âMs. Seymour, here! Ãver here! Any later and that quest will blow his tap!â
Larissa forced her to slow down. âDonât panic. Just tell me what it is that the guest is unsatisfied about.â
âA whole bunch of stuff! The mattress isnât soft enough, there arenât enough channels on the TV. the towel isnât made of good material. I honestly suspect that heâs sent over by a rival hotel to create trouble!â the assistant huffed If Larissa had not known about the Coles, she probably would have thought the same.
However..
