Chapter 226: Does He Want To Attract The Enemy?
Miracle Pill Maker Bullies the Boss
The Principal took out his good tea from the cabinet and made some for his esteemed guest. Then he sat down and looked at Min Yu. âYoung Master Min, how long are you planning to stay here for?â
Min Yu picked up his teacup and blew its contents before taking a sip. âI donât plan on going back for now.â
The Principal laughed. âOld Master Min called me a couple of days ago.â
The moment he mentioned Old Master Min, a look of guilt emerged on Zhuo Yunâs face while he stood behind Min Yu.
âHeâs just bored,â replied Min Yu indifferently leaning against the couch. His nonchalance appeared innately dignified.
The Principalâs lips twitched. Min Yu was probably the only person who would dare to say such things about Old Master Min in the entire capital. He recalled Min Yu and Huo Yaoâs conversation, and asked him curiously. âYou seem rather close to Huo Yao from our school.â
Min Yu said gently, âMhm. She used to be my next-door neighbor for a period of time.â
Next door?
The Principal touched his chin. Was Huo Yao not from an average family? How did she end up living next to him?
âWhy was she here?â asked Min Yu without noticing the baffled look on the Principalâs face.
With this question, the Principal recalled the vile things that transpired earlier in the day involving the Lu family. He told Min Yu briefly about how Huo Yao got slandered for cheating.
Min Yuâs striking face remained indifferent and seemed rather emotionless. He tilted his head and said intriguingly, âIs the Education Association in the habit of doing whatever they want these days?â
The Principal picked up his teacup and took a sip. He sighed gently and said in a mocking manner, âPlenty of people in the Education Association have started resorting to cheap tricks to get what they want. Itâs so common now that Iâm resigned to it.â
The Principal paused for a moment and then said, âIâm going to the capital next week. Is there anything you want me to pass along to the Old Master?â
Min Yu looked at him profoundly. âItâs okay. Iâm going back next week as well.â
The Principal looked at him in surprise.
âWe are putting the Western Zhou jade on display in the cultural relic exhibition hall,â said Min Yu softly.
The Principal suddenly opened his eyes wide. âWhy has Old Master Min decided to put the Western Zhou jade on exhibition? Is he trying to cause an uproar in the trade?â
Jade carving technique was at its peak in the history of jade during the Western Zhou period. High-quality jade was rare, so these were priceless.
The Min familyâs jade was almost flawless. So many people had their eyes on it in the past, but all their efforts came to no good end.
âAre you going back to guard the antiques in the exhibition hall personally?â The Principal swiftly realized.
âYou can say so,â replied Min Yu calmly.
The cultural relic exhibition was held once every two years. All the items on display were rare antiques from across the nation. The Min family was in charge of hosting it since they were the only family capable of ensuring the relicsâ safety.
However, no matter how heavily guarded the exhibition was, there were moments when they had been caught off guard. The Principal recalled the incident from two years ago and suddenly had an inkling as to why Old Master Min wanted to display the Western Zhou jade this time.
âAre you trying to attract the enemy with the Western Zhou jade?ân/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Min Yuâs deep and cold eyes narrowed into sharp slits. âNo one can touch our territory and expect to escape unscathed.â
The Principalâs hands trembled. Even though he was much older than Min Yu, he could not withstand the cold murderous aura radiating from this guy.
After he composed himself, he changed the subject. âWhen are you going back to the capital?â
âNext Friday.â All the coldness in Min Yuâs eyes dissipated, making him seem completely harmless as though that murderous look was nothing but an illusion.
