“ What happened, why are you all looking at me like that?”, Rishabh asked looking at everyone.

“ I swear on my diamond, Rishabh, it is you and not someone else.”, Surekha said to Rishabh widening her eyes, then Rishabh asked her questioningly, “ What do you mean, Chachi ji?”

Surekha said, “ What do you mean, in all these years you never played Holi with us and you are playing with her.”

“ Yes, I used to tell you people not to apply color on me and you all listen to me. I told her also not to apply color on me but she did not listen, so I played with her. If you people had also not listened, I would have played with you people too.”, saying this Rishabh crossed Surekha and went from there and Surekha kept looking at him with her mouth wide open.

When she saw Shobha, Shobha laughed.  Then everyone started playing Holi with each other and Anokhi was sitting comfortably and was happy watching them all playing. In between, everyone would put colors on Anokhi too and Anokhi would take water balloons from the big bucket kept beside her and throw them one by one. But poor Anokhi, none of her shots were right. Every shot of hers would miss and everyone would laugh at her, even Rishabh.

Seeing Anokhi laughing, Shobha said to dada ji, “After so many years my son is laughing papa and he is really happy.”

“Yes, Rishabh is really happy with Anokhi. Anokhi is really a very nice girl Alok and you did a great job by getting her married to Rishabh.”, grandfather said to Alok and Alok just smiled.

Those three saw that Shivika, Shivaay, Vikram, Riya, Rohit, Praveen, Shanaya, Hardik were all standing around Anokhi and all of them had buckets of pink coloured water in their hands.

Anokhi looked at them and requested, “This is wrong, you all get saved, not even one of my shots was right, then why are you people doing this.”

“ If your aim is not good then what can we do, little angel.”, Hardik said laughing.

Anokhi made a face at Vikram and said, “And you, bhaiya, you are my bhaiya. You are not listening to me and joined all these people.”

“I have taken a break from the position of brother for 2 minutes, after this, I will become your brother again.”, Vikram said laughing.

Praveen looked at everyone and said, “1 2 3” As soon as he said three, everyone simultaneously threw water towards Anokhi. But then Rishabh kept a big umbrella in front of Anokhi so that not even a single drop of water fell on Anokhi.

Anokhi who had hidden her face behind her hands out of fear, when she did not feel the water falling on her, opened her eyes and saw that she was saved. She saw that Rishabh had saved her, so she started looking at Rishabh smiling.

Vikram said in irritation, “What is it Rishabh, you yourself don’t play Holi, and when we are playing, you are not letting us play.”

“Play Holi with only gulaal. There is no need to spoil it.”, Rishabh said without any emotion.

“What will happen if she gets a little wet?”, Vikram said, then Rishabh stared at him and said, “Nothing much will happen, whatever happens to you people will happen.”

“Meaning”, they all said together, then Rishabh signaled them to turn back with his eyes. They all turned back and saw Rishabh’s bodyguards standing with buckets of water in their hands. Seeing this, their eyes widened. Before they could move from their place, all those bodyguards poured water on them. Seeing this, Anokhi started laughing loudly.

“ You see bhaiya, the one who digs a pit for others ends up falling in it himself.”, Anokhi said laughing in the same way.

“Yaar Rishabh what have you done?”, Shivaay said while wiping the water from his face, then Rishabh said, “The same thing that you guys were going to do.”

“But Rishabh ji, maybe you too won’t be saved.”, Anokhi said mischievously looking at Rishabh.

“What do you mean?”, Rishabh asked narrowing his eyes. Just then Anokhi pointed the water pipe hidden in her hand towards Rishabh and said, “Now that you have made everyone wet, it is your right to get wet too, Rishabh ji.”

As soon as Anokhi finished speaking, water started falling on Rishabh from the pipe.

“Cup cupcake stop it.  ” , saying this Rishabh tried to escape from the water and Anokhi kept wetting him while laughing and the rest of them were standing and laughing at Rishabh's condition.

Seeing Rishabh, Vikram started singing a song, “ As you sow, so shall you reap. You made us wet, now you will also get wet. Well done my princess. ”

Just then Shobha turned off the tap of water due to which water stopped coming from the pipe. By now Rishabh was completely wet from head to toe.

Shobha said to everyone, “ Now Holi is over for all of you. Come on, get fresh quickly. ”

“ It got over so soon. Maa, let's play for a little while more, please” , Anokhi requested.

“ No, not at all Anokhi. It is time for your medicine, come on, go and get fresh quickly. Then we all will eat food and you will just rest after taking the medicine. Do you know what Shanaya said.  ”, Shobha said, glaring at him.

Shanaya also said, “Yes anokhi you need a lot of rest right now. Your physiotherapy will start after a few days. For that your body should have energy, so take as much rest as you can, now do as Shobha Maa has said.” Saying this Shanaya called the nurse and the nurse took Anokhi with her and the rest of them also left from there one by one.

Sanjay had also organized a small Holi party at his house in which he had invited Sudhir and Preeti. Preeti did not want to go but on Sudhir's insistence she came but she was not feeling like going to the party and ever since she came to know that Sanjay wants to get her married to Vikram, she started staying a little aloof from Sanjay and Sanjay's wife Shalini and Sanjay and Shalini had also noticed this.

Preeti was standing at a corner away from everyone and watching everyone.  Just then Shalini came and stood next to her and said to her, “What is the matter beta? Ever since you came, I have noticed that you are not talking to us properly. Are you feeling bad about something?”

“No aunty, there is nothing like that. I am just not feeling well, that is why you are feeling like this.” Preeti said while making an excuse, then Shalini put her hand on her head and said, “Preeti, I have treated you like my daughter, that is why I can understand whether you are speaking the truth or a lie.”

When Shalini said this, Preeti lowered her eyes.

“Has Sudhir Bhai Sahab talked to you about Vikram and that is why you are not able to meet us, not able to talk to us?

When Shalini asked, Preeti slowly nodded her head in yes. Shalini smiled slightly.  She put her hand on Preeti's head and said, "Preeti, if Sanjay bhai sahab has told you about Vikram, he must have also told you that we are not putting any pressure on you. If you don't want to marry Vikram, then don't. I used to treat you like my daughter earlier and will continue to do so. Yes, it was my wish that you come to my house as a daughter-in-law and I had told this to Sanjay a long time ago, but I was late in talking to Sudhir bhai sahab, otherwise today you would have been the daughter-in-law of our house. But anyway, it doesn't matter if it is not in my fate to see you as a daughter-in-law. But I will always give you my love like this. Just don't be sad like this. I want to see you happy, not confused."

Preeti lifted her head and looked at them. Her eyes were a little moist. Shalini put her hand on her cheek and said, "If you don't want to get married, then we will not marry you to our donkey-like son. When Shalini said this, Preeti burst out laughing. Shalini hugged her and said, “ Just keep smiling like this. ”

Sanjay and Sudhir, standing at a distance from them, were watching them both. Sudhir said, “ My Preeti never got the love of a mother, Sanjay Sir, but Shalini ma’am has filled that void in her life. Now if Preeti agrees to this relationship wholeheartedly, then tomorrow if something happens to me, I will not worry about Preeti. ”

“ How can something happen like this. You still have a lot to live, when our children get married, don’t you want to play with their children? You don’t even get to dream. ”

Sanjay said this while putting his hand on Sudhir’s shoulder, and Sudhir also smiled. After some time, Sudhir and Preeti took leave from them and went to their home.

Night time_

After dinner at night, Preeti came to Sudhir's room to give him his night's medicine, but she saw that the medicine was over. She got a little angry at Sudhir and said, " Papa, your medicine is over and you did not tell me."

" Oohh, I forgot.", Sudhir said putting his hand on his forehead.

" That is why I do not put the responsibility of giving you medicine on you. I did not give you medicine for 2 days and you made such a big mess. But now forget this matter, I will go and get your medicine."

" It is dark. Where will you go to get medicine at this time. Let's do one thing, let's leave today's medicine. I will not take tonight's medicine.", Sudhir said stopping her, then Preeti glared at him and said, " Not at all. It is dark but the medical stores are open, so I will go and get it."

Preeti went to her room and took her purse and went out of the house.  She took Sudhir's medicines from the medical store and started walking towards home.

She was walking comfortably, smiling, watching the night view, feeling the cold breeze, when suddenly she heard some noise and stopped. She turned around and looked around, but she did not find anything wrong.

"Maybe this is my illusion.", Preeti said to herself and then started walking. But then she heard someone's footsteps. Hearing this, her steps stopped right there and she got scared.

She quickly turned back, but she still could not see anyone. Now Preeti started feeling scared. She held her purse tightly and started walking quickly, and then someone held her mouth tightly in one hand and started taking her away from there holding her in his arms.
