The two cousins hadn’t expected that Wen Rugui was so bad with alcohol. They quickly helped him inside the house.As Tong Jiaming and Tong Jiaxin’s beds were covered in stuff, Tong Xuelu had them brought Wen Rugui to her own room.The others continued with the meal and they all helped with cleaning up after the meal.Some left afterward and Old Mr. Wen and Commander Xiao went over to the Wei’s place. The other Xiao family members wanted to go check out Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.The yard quieted down all of a sudden.Tong Xuelu brought a glass of warm water into the room. “How are you feeling, Rugui? Would you like some water?”Wen Rugui’s eyes remained closed. He was still and his cheeks a pink hue.Tong Xuelu put down the mug and went to get a wet towel for his face. Low and behold, Wen Rugui woke up the second the towel touched his face.His eyes were dark like ink and deep like a bottomless lake.Tong Xuelu met his eyes and paused a little. “You are awake?”As soon as she finished talked, she felt her hand grabbed all of a sudden and, with a tuck from him, she felt the world spinning.When she opened her eyes again, she was already laying down in bed.Wen Rugui was on top of her and looked at her without blinking. There was a suggestive look in his eyes and some an emotion that wasn’t normally there.“Rugui?”Tong Xuelu noticed something different about him as well. She called out to him softly.Wen Rugui did not make a sound. He was still holding onto Tong Xuelu’s wrist.Tong Xuelu used her other hand to poke him on his chest. “Hurry up and get up. This is bad if someone else sees us like this.”Low and behold, her other hand was grabbed by him as well. And now he had both of her hands pinned above her head.The Wen Rugui right now was domineering and determined, very different from the big cutie who’d blush from just about anything regularly.Oh?Did he turn into a domineering CEO when he was drunk?Or he wanted to cosplay?A forceful and domineering CEO? He had a bad feeling when he saw that Tong Xuelu’s room door was closed.He sneaked over there on his tiptoe like a thief and all he could hear was Tong Xuelu’s voice –“Hurry up and let go of me, Rugui. He, however, ran into Old Mr. Wen when he reached the front door.Old Mr. Wen looked at his face back and forth and said, “Why’s your face red like a monkey’s butt? You are not sick, are you?”Commander Xiao gave him a stare. “You are the one who’s not well! I just worked out at the yard. I’m much stronger than you are!”Old Mr. Wen let out a grunt and was about to walk around him and into the house when Commander Xiao blocked him.“What’s up with you, Old Stuck Up? Move. I want to go check on Rugui.”Commander Xiao would not move aside. “I just checked and he was still asleep. You guys head on home first. The brat will go home on his own after he had woken up.”Old Mr. Wen was protective. “Rugui is your future grandson-in-law. Why are you still referring to him as the ‘brat’?”Commander Xiao harrumphed. “I’m his elder. I can call him whatever I like!”Old Mr. Wen was so angry that his goatie shuddered. He was the textbook case of “I can call my grandson whatever I want, but others are not allowed” kind of person. He grunted again and wanted to walk around Commander Xiao again.Commander Xiao blocked the door without budging. “Didn’t I just tell you that Rugui will return home by himself? Why do you still want to go inside?”Old Mr. Wen looked Commander Xiao up and down. “Something is up with you, Old Stuck Up. Why do you care so much whether I go inside or not? I don’t need to check on Rugui, but can’t I go talk to Xuelu?”Commander Xiao’s face grew redder. “No!”Old Mr. Wen was going to retort but something occurred to him all of a sudden. He recalled the misunderstanding the first time when Xuelu visited their place. Did the same thing happened with Old Stuck Up too?Welp, misunderstanding or not, the two younglings never had a lot of time to spend with each other. It was probably best not to disturb the two.Old Mr. Wen’s ears turned pink slight and he grunted. “Fine. I won’t go inside. Just let Xuelu know that we are talking off!”Commander Xiao was taken aback. He didn’t think Old Mr. Wen would give in so easily.But why did his ears turn red?Something occurred to Commander Xiao all of a sudden.
