—PACHIN!

Aurora heard some chuckles along with the sound of the fan snapping.

“To meet Kitten-chan and Fairy-san in our drawing room—this is such a lovely day!”

“Umm…”

“Now then… Let me hear about your wonderful interaction with Loomis-shi, Aurora-san!”

“Y-Yes.”

Without a doubt, whatever people may say, Aurora is certain that this lady is indeed「that」lady’s mother from her words.

Nestled in an elegant drawing-room was a beautiful lady seated across Aurora, her beauty was something out of this world. Silver hair, purplish blue eyes, rosy lips and porcelain skin—as if she was the spirit of ice herself. Her icy features couldn’t be beaten even with the latest beauty trends. Even her moniker「Belle of Society」isn’t enough as a praise for her beauty.

But her startled voice and temperament that flows out of her mouth reminds Aurora of her daughter. Whether it was by some fortunate or unfortunate circumstances, her beauty was inherited by her son and just like him, her appearance was different to her personality which is surprisingly inherited by her daughter.

That’s right, this lady is the wife of Marquis Clavis, Felix and Luna Mare’s mother.

The「cat-like」Aurora and「fairy faced」Luminox sat down in a silky couch in front of Marchioness Clavis who looked like a work of art. Surrounding them is a thick amber colored furniture that was polished through years and blue silk walls with roses and arabesque patterns. Hanging on the wall are exotic blue and white plates probably called “Eastern Pottery” that been popular as of late. The unobtrusively gorgeous chandelier hung in the ceiling must be made of real crystals.

Be that as it may, Aurora who heard herself being called「Kitten-chan」glanced at her brother beside her and as if answering her telepathically after hearing himself being called「Fairy-san」Luminox glanced back at his sister.

There’s only one thing in the minds of the Porta siblings—

(We only want to give you the letter and head back home.)

“Lady Clavis, as to the letter I gave you—”

“Yes, please give it to the butler. I will open it as soon as my foolish son returns.”

“Thank you very much.”

“Isn’t one of the letter addressed to you too, Aurora-san? May I know the contents of this letter?”

—But, both of them knew that it’s not so easy to escape from this kind of person and Aurora knew well the Marchioness’ personality was basing from her daughter, Luna Mare.

Luminox glance at Aurora and saw her on the verge of tears, so with bitter expression he breathes slowly and answered—

“It was a sealed letter, an invitation to the House of Loomis’ evening party.”

“Oh dear.”

Along with the sound of the fan, Marchioness Clavis stopped moving.

“From the House of Loomis?”

“Y-Yes.”

“When is the date of the evening party?”

“It’s two weeks from now on.”

“Two weeks?!”

—BANG! SLAM! SMASH!

All of the Marchioness charms disappeared the moment her hands and knees leaned against the table as she stood up from her seat ungracefully. The table almost turned upside down in the process.

Luminox and Aurora dumbfoundedly watched at the teacups shaking violently on the table. It would be terrible if one of the cups falls and break. After all, one of these teacups is equivalent to Aurora’s favorite tea sets.

Not even noticing the Porta siblings that’s trembling on their seats, Marchioness Clavis shouted under her breath—

“Fred! Frank!! Marie!! Quickly, come here quickly! Oh, and Marvis—call Ver and Roux to come here right away! Use the magic stones and call them!”

—Marchioness Clavis shouted in a very loud and unladylike voice.

“I apologize for my wife’s behavior. She’s been like this since she was a girl.”

“That was her charm that got you falling in love with her, elder brother.”

“Indeed, brother-in-law. Sister-in-law’s charm is as strong as an arrow.”

“Would you three shut up for once! This is an emergency!”

Aurora and Luminox once again zoned out. There were three more beautiful ladies, two golden haired and one with brunette hair seating elegantly in the drawing-room which now looked more like a royal evening party with great ambiance. Aurora turned her eyes to her brother and saw the round green eyes of her brother—Luminox was petrified, it seems that even a beautiful man can’t resist the charms of these beautiful ladies.

—To this magnificent scene, Aurora felt out of place. Her appearance doesn’t fit in, she stands out like a sore thumb, like a carrot in the middle of a garden of beautiful roses.

“Seems like I’m quite used to your ’emergency’ now, honey?”

“Be silent, Fred! This is really an emergency!”

“More than when Luna left home?”

“I guess we really have it hard at those times.”

“No one from the knights would have thought that a lady from a noble family would would be glad to stay in the woods.”

“It’s been more than ten years since then… It’s a relief someone married a tomboy like her.”

Four beautiful women were telling stories that Aurora felt she shouldn’t be listening to, along with her brother who smiled dryly at the increasing people that’s sitting around them.

There were two men, one with gorgeous golden hair like Luna Mare and have the purplish blue eyes of Felix, giving Aurora the vibes that he’s the kind of gentleman who wouldn’t speak much during evening parties. The other man had the similar golden hair but with a greenish blue eyes. He has a well built body and a scar that can be seen at the back of his hand—was he a knight? And the last one is a beautiful lady with dark eyes and her brunette hair tied up. Although she’s certainly different from the other three people, she’s still have a beautiful face.

“Err…”

“Oh my, I apologize, young master of Porta. Everyone talks too much when they are together—Frank, they are the son and daughter of Earl Porta. Lord Luminox and Lady Aurora.”

“This is our first time meeting you. My name is Luminox el le Porta and this is my sister Aurora, we are pleased to meet you.”

“My name is Aurora. It’s my pleasure to meet you.”

“How do you do?”

—Replying with a bewildered voice, the dignified golden haired man—Marquis Clavis, Frederick el le Clavis—looked at the elder brother and younger sister of the House of Porta with a wry smile. Luminox and Aurora showed their gratitude with a refined manner. While the man named Frank suddenly shot up from his seat after hearing the siblings introduce themselves.

“Oh, so you’re that rumored『Fairy』… indeed you have a beautiful face—so this lady is Fel’s Kitten-chan? Un, he sure have good eyes! Lady Porta, don’t you have any interest in joining the knights?”

The man amiably smiled at her and looked at Aurora, her fear slowly dissipated at the candid gesture. He must have been a knight if he mentioned the word 「Knights」. But it seems that there’s a lot of these kind of people among the knights, Aurora was reminded of the escorts from the training grounds that accompanied her recently. Wasn’t the Platoon Commander also a man of this disposition?

“Frank, stop threatening the poor young lady. Honey, aren’t you quite squalid? How long do you plan on not introducing me?”

“Oh. Sorry, sorry. I’m Franklin, the younger brother of that Marquis over there and this lady is my scary wife.”

The beautiful brunette slapped the knight on his back and in the process, his eyebrows creased making Aurora sit further back and breath shallowly. Are all the ladies married by the men in the House or Clavis purely frank and strong ladies? It seems that Felix isn’t likely to be like this since he’s quite bad with ladies.

“My name is Marie Ann, the wife of this muscle brained man. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Aurora-chan and Luminox-kun.”

“How do you do?”

“Please treat us well.”

Aurora did her courtesy once more, despite this, she narrowed her eyes as she hasn’t overcome the stiffness in her body.

But who would have thought?

——That Marchioness Clavis, once called the『Belle of Society』and is still called as one, popularly known as the role model of all the ladies in the kingdom, would call her husband, her brother-in-law and his wife in a roaring voice!
