Chapter 65

Perfect

The Scomiche Chronicles

Mitch and Scott were sitting at the table eating breakfast, when their oldest daughter Lillian enters. Mitch stands up and gives her a sack lunch. She smiles at him, eyes sparkling in a way that reminds him of Scott. "Bye Mom." She says. Mitch stretches up so she can kiss his cheek. "Bye Dad." Scott leans down so he can receive a kiss from her. She walks out the door, blond hair swinging behind her. "James, you'll be late. Hurry up, bud." Scott calls for their youngest son.

They go back to their food, only to look up as James races down the stairs. "James, how many times have I told you not to run down the stairs? You could get hurt." Mitch chides, worry lacing his voice. He sighs and gets up to hand James his lunch. Mitch leans down and smiles happily as he feels tiny lips press against his cheek. Next to him Scott is nothing but smiles as James kisses his bearded cheek. The bus arrives and Scott and Mitch watch as the bus whisks their child away to fourth grade.

The silence that falls between them is familiar, comforting. Mitch hums as he washes the dishes when familiar arms wrap around him and kisses are being pressed to the sensitive part of his neck. Mitch gasps and is quickly being spun around, so that he's pressed against the sink. Scott cups Mitch's jaw and kisses him slowly and lovingly. Scott pulls Mitch closer and kisses him deeply. Mitch moans and suddenly Scott's tongue is in his mouth. The door barges open and the two jump apart from each other, startled. Their gorgeous daughter walks in, "Forgot my keys," she says by way of explanation.

Just before she leaves she says "Mom, Dad. Don't forget to use protection." She winks and runs out the door, her parents shouts of "Lillian Grace Grassi-Hoying" following after her. Once they were certain they were alone, Mitch pulled Scott into a searing kiss. Scott grips Mitch's waist, pulling him closer. A spark forms, slowly rising to flames of passion and desire that engulfs them. Mitch leads Scott to the bedroom, smiling in a way that has Scott's stomach twisting with heat and desire. Life couldn't be more perfect for them.
