Nightmare

"No!" Mitch wailed as he clutched the broken and burned body of Scott. Behind him the flames from the two cars rose and painted the sky with fire and smoke. Mitch couldn't care less about that though. All that mattered was the lifeless body he held. "Scott, you aren't dead. We were supposed to grow old together, have the perfect life. Please come back. I need you. Please please please." Although Mitch begged and cried, it did nothing to bring his Scott back. Frustrated, Mitch walked over to the woman sitting in the cop car in handcuffs. The woman frowned. "Whaaat you wanna?" She slurred. She was drunk. Eyes narrowed in anger and sadness. "YOU KILLED HIM!! YOU KILLED THE ONLY MAN I'LL EVER LOVE. YOU DESERVE TO ROT IN JAIL!!" Mitch wailed venemously. Crying, he walked back to Scott, only to find the paramedics loading him onto the gurney.  "NO NO NO. WHAT ARE YO DOING?" He screamed as he ran towards them. The paramedics held him back telling him "Sir, we need to get him to the morgue." Mitch dropped to his knees as reality set in. Scott was dead.

Mitch gasped and shot up in his bed, sweat clinging on to him. It was a dream. Mitch sighed in relief. It was a dream, right? He jumped from his bed and sprinted out of his room, bumping into objects as doubt crept in. He barged into Scott's room, waking the man from a deep sleep. "Mitchy, what's wrong?" He asked sleepily. He was jarred wide awake as he heard Mitch start to sob.  He opened his arms wide and once Mitch was safely nestled in between them, asked what happened. "Oh, Scott it was awful. A drunk driver killed you." Mitch wailed. The look of fear on Mitch's face and each sob he made sent a chord of pain through Scott's heart.

He began drawing figure eights and humming. Mitch's wails and cries died down a little, but Scott could still hear him sniffling. "I'm here, honey. I'll always be here." Scott soothed, voice low and comforting. "You're my everything. I need you, I love you. What if you're not there?" Mitch's cries increased and Scott puts his hand over Mitch's heart. "I'll still be there in your heart, forever baby." He kisses Mitch slowly, gently, removing the pain that the nightmare has brought to his baby. "I love you forever. You know that." Mitch nodded and turned over, burrowing himself closer to Scott to make sure he wouldn't leave.

"I love you too. I'll love you beyond the day I die."  Mitch kisses Scott, who puts his arms around him and holds him tightly, protecting him from any further nightmares.

You guys, Wattpad's acting up. It unpublished this chapter like twice today. And when I get notified that someone has updated, it says that the story or page seems to be missing. Is that happening for anyone else? It's being so annoying, I swear. Anyway I hope this update stays. If it doesn't please let me know, and I'll post it on my wall or something.
