Starbucks Lover
The Scomiche Chronicles
"Hey, can I sit here?" A voice interrupted Mitch. He tore his gaze away from his music theory essay, and looked towards whoever interrupted him. Holy crap. The guy was attractive. His blue eyes seemed to pull him in deep, until he was drowning in the blue waters of his eyes. A hint of a scruff lined his jaw. He was attractive.
Mitch shook himself out of his head, and said "yeah, sure" with an inviting smile. The man sighed in relief and sat down. "Sorry about that, the whole place was filled, and the only place that wasn't empty was here." Mitch glanced shyly at the stranger. "That's okay, I don't mind." He said as he returned to his assignment. It was silent for a few minutes before Scott spoke. "What's your name?" He asked the man beside him. Mitch turned to him. "Mitch" he answered. "Hi Mitch. I'm Scott." He introduced himself, noticing how beautiful Mitch's eyes were. They were like deep pools of chocolates, and he found himself getting lost in them.
"What are you working on?" Scott asked. Mitch answered "Music theory. I really want to be a musician when I grow up." Scott gasped in excitement. "I want to be a musician too!!" He exclaimed. Mitch pushed his homework aside, deciding to get to know the perfect stranger beside him. Homework could wait.
The two of them stayed at the shop until it was almost closed. Before they left Mitch asked "Hey Scott, do you want to meet again? Here maybe?" Scott's eager nod made him smile and gave Mitch his phone number so they could make plans. Mitch left and walked back to his dorm, whistling happily. Tomorrow couldn't come fast enough for the eager boys.
Over the next couple of months the boys would meet at Starbucks. Each meeting would leave them with blushing cheeks, and hearts beating slightly faster after they left. They didn't know it yet, but both of them were falling into the powerful, destructive, but oh so beautiful thing called love.
Scott and Mitch walked into their Starbucks, heart beating faster in anticipation. This meeting could change things, for better or worse. They placed their orders and sat down. Mitch smiled at Scott and licked his lips nervously, noticing Scott's eyes following his tounge. "Umm.... I um. I have strong feelings for you. I don't.... don't know i-if it's love or what, but I know that I really like you." Mitch stuttered out, hoping that he didn't mess up. Scott's eyes lit up and he lunged forward, cupping Mitch's face and kissing him.
Mitch gasped and kissed back eagerly, only pulling back when he remembered that they were in a public setting. "So I'm going to guess that you like me too." He said, cheekily smiling. Scott nodded and grinned. He asked "Mitch. Would you like to be to be my boyfriend?"
"Sorry, I have a boyfriend." Mitch replied. Scott looked confused, almost hurt, before the meaning of Mitch's words sunk in. He slapped Mitch's arm gently, exclaming "Don't do things like that." Mitch kissed his cheek in apology, and in that Starbucks, they became lovers.
Funny story: So in Taylor's Blank Space, my sister keeps hearing "got a long list of Starbucks lovers" and not long list of ex lovers. So I thought that Starbucks lovers would make for a great prompt.
