Strongest Love

Scott and Mitch were dating. At first it was hard for both of them to transition from friends who hid their feelings to being able to express their love for each other whenever they wanted to. But as time went on, they realized that they didn't need to hide their feelings and soon were openly affectionate.

However Scott was afraid of getting his heart broken by Mitch again. He was afraid that he wouldn't survive the heartbreak again, especially because his feelings for Mitch were even stronger now then they were nine years ago. Most importantly, he was worried that their friendship of 15 years would be so damaged beyond repaired.

Currently Scott and Mitch were cuddled up on their bed watching TV, but Scott couldn't focus, as these thoughts ran circles around his mind.

Mitch noticed his inattention and tapped his shoulder. "What's wrong, babe?" He asked in concern. "Just thinking." Scott said.

"About what?" Mitch asked. Scott hesitated, then spoke. "I'm afraid that what happened the last time we tried dating will happen again. I'm afraid that if we did break up, our friendship wouldn't survive. I just don't think I could survive that again." Scott looked away and sniffed.  Mitch eyes widened, but he understood where Scott was coming from. Their first break up wasn't easy for either of them. It took several months of crying and pleading with each other to get their friendship back. Mitch was shaken out of his thoughts when he heard Scott get up and walk out of their room.

He called Scott back and made him sit back down. " Darling, I'd never break your heart like that. Not ever again. Do you know why?" Scott shook his head. Mitch smiled lovingly at him. "Because I'm so in love with you, that when I'm away from you  it pains me until I'm back with you."  He leaned up and kissed Scott gently. They smiled into the kiss, accidentally breaking it. "But what if we break up?" Scott asked fearfully. "We would never because our love is the strongest love out there. And I have faith that our love will last till the end of time. " Mitch reassured the blond.

And Indeed it. Despite all the fighting and arguments they sometimes had, no matter what they always came back to each other, loving each other even more. Their love was the strongest love, the kind that lasted an entire lifetime, and beyond.
