Distracted
The Scomiche Chronicles
Pentatonix was at a band meeting, trying to figure out the setlist for their next performance. Three out of the five members were hard at work. Scott was busy staring at Mitch, and Mitch was busy staring back at Scott.
"So I was thinking that we could start with Bohemian Rhapsody as the first song because it's the most difficult song and...." Scott tuned out Kevin at that point as he was being too distracting from staring at his Mitchy.
"... Scott?" Asked Kirstie. Scott turned his head and hummed in acknowledgement.
"What do you think about that?" Kevin asked him. "About what?" He asked absentmindedly, going back to admiring Mitch. This caused him to miss the question again, and when he looked up, everyone was looking at him. Scott flushed in embarrassment and asked "Sorry about what?"
Avi just shook his head and sighed. "Look, I know you love him, but you can't do this at every meeting. It's a professional thing, so leave the heart eyes out of it." Avi scolded Scott.
Scott mumbled an answer, his eyes straying back over to Mitch. Avi rolled his eyes and said to the rest of the band "Come on guys, let's go get food."
All of them stood up and were headed out when... "I think Scott and Mitch should stay back and figure out the setlist since they were distracted." Kirstie said. Avi and Kevin nodded in agreement. Scott and Mitch glanced at each other and sighed and reluctantly mumbled and ok. "Great. We'll bring back some food. Be good, now." With that the band turned and left.
As soon as everyone was out of sight Mitch and Scott ran to each other. "Hi baby," Mitch greeted the baritone, who just leaned down and kissed him. Mitch pushed his chest to get him to stop. He had something to tell him.
"Hey, if we don't want the band to know, we gotta stop staring at each other with heart eyes." Scott thought about and nodded. "But, what if I just want to stare at my beautiful boyfriend?" He asked.
Mitch blushed and scolded him. "Do it on your own time. Not at work." Scott pouted, making Mitch kiss him. Mitch pulled away, but Scott used an arm to pull him right back to him. "Look we have maybe half an hour. You thinking what I'm thinking?" He asked Mitch with a suggestive smirk. Mitch nodded and reached up to kiss Scott. Scott walked Mitch backwards until his back was against a wall, and he used his arms to cage him in so he couldn't run away.
Scott peppered kisses all over Mitch's face. He put one on his gorgeous eyes that always sparkled in the sun. He kissed his big nose that Mitch always hated, but Scott loved it. Just like he loved his brunet. He ended with kissing Mitch's lips, that he always thought about, and that he always wanted to kiss. "You are so perfect. You are so beautiful. You are so talented and amazing. I love you. So so much," Scott said, staring into perfect brown eyes.
Mitch sighed. "Oh Scotty, I love you too. You're the most perfect, sweetest, kindest man alive. I don't know what I did to deserve you. I love you."
Mitch pulled Scott into another passionate kiss. This one felt like it had made them one, like something that was missing from their lives had been found and they had found the missing piece in each other. Scott was the first one to pull away, breathless, but still not ready to stop kissing his Mitchy. He trailed kisses down Mitch's jaw and to his neck. He started sucking and biting his boyfriend, definitely leaving a mark on him.
They were interrupted by a gasp and the sound of something crashing on the floor. Scott and Mitch turned around to see a shocked Avi and boxes of food on the floor. "Umm, guys what are you doing?" Avi asked. Scott and Mitch shared a worried glance and simultaneously said "Nothing. We were doing absolutely nothing." Avi stared at them. "That didn't look like nothing." Mitch spoke "Look, what happened was just between the two of us. We didn't and don't want anyone to know about us."
Avi's eyes narrowed. "About us? You mean you guys are a thing now?"
Mitch and Scott denied it and said they were just best friends. "Look, Kevin's my best friend, and yet I don't flirt with him, or call him beautiful or am overly touch with him during interviews." Avi tried to explain how unplatonic they were. "That's all for the fans" Scott said. "Yeah" Mitch nodded in agreement. "So what was the kissing for?" Avi exasperatedly asked. They were so involved in their conversation that they didn't notice Kirstie and Kevin entering the room.
"Wait wait wait. Who was kissing who now? And who's a thing?" Kevin asked, confused. "Did these two finish checking over the setlist and make sure it's ok?" Kirstie asked. Her question was answered when the two men looked away from her. "Are you kidding?" She asked them "We need to get this done now. Tour's coming soon and..." She trailed off, and looked at Mitch more closely. She had noticed that on his neck were some marks that had definitely not been there before she left. "Uh Mitchell what's that on your neck?" She asked curiously.
"My neck? What?" A confused Mitch asked. He slapped Scott for marking him up and said "Scott would you like to explain these marks?" He grinned wickedly, wondering how Scott would cover their secret. Scott turned to Mitch and they had one of their famous silent conversation, while the others watched, bemused. The exchange ended when Mitch shook his head.
"Well we kinda hooked up in Iceland, confessed our feelings for each other and started dating. So since New Years." Mitch explained to the rest of the band. Kevin, Avi, and Kirstie had identical expression of shock. "Well that makes everything make sense." Avi said. "We're happy for you." Kirstie and Avi said. "But now we gotta get to work." Kevin said. The happy couple gave each other a kiss and tried to focus on their work, but it wasn't long before they got distracted by each other again and a sharp cry of "Scott, Mitch focus" to drift across the room.
Scott and Mitch made it through the meeting without anymore disruptions and went home where they kissed and cuddled to their hearts content.
