Author's Point of View
It was an ordinary day at Kim Architecture, a company renowned for its groundbreaking designs that shaped South Korea's skyline. In Namjoon's spacious, minimalist office, Taehyung sat at the head of the meeting table, discussing the final touches of an ambitious new project with Namjoon and Yoongi. The room was filled with the quiet hum of serious conversation, the air charged with focus as they analyzed blueprints and debated details.
Meanwhile, Jungkook entered the towering Kim Architecture building, holding a bag filled with neatly packed lunch boxes. It was his way of showing care for Taehyung and his team, knowing how engrossed they often got in their work. As he walked through the sleek, modern lobby, a few employees greeted him politely, recognizing him as Taehyung's husband. Jungkook offered them a warm smile, his presence calm and grounded.
He took the elevator to the executive floor, glancing at his phone to check the time. "Perfect timing," he murmured to himself, wanting to surprise Taehyung before he got too buried in work.
When Jungkook stepped out onto the executive floor, he noticed an unusual energy in the air hushed whispers, hurried footsteps, and staff members looking visibly anxious. Something was wrong. As he approached Namjoon's office, he saw a staff member rush inside, his pale face and panicked demeanor catching Jungkook's attention.
Inside the office, the atmosphere shifted dramatically when the staff member burst in, his voice trembling with urgency. "Sir, all the computers in the office have been hacked! Every single system is malfunctioning, and the technical team can't locate the hacker. The hacker's identity is completely hidden. They've tried everything, but nothing's working!"
The announcement hit like a bombshell. For a company that thrived on high-profile projects and cutting-edge designs, this was a nightmare scenario.
Namjoon immediately stood up, his jaw tightening as frustration flickered across his face. Yoongi's usual calm was replaced with a serious, calculating expression. Taehyung, seated at the table, remained outwardly composed, but his sharp eyes betrayed the weight of the situation. He knew how catastrophic this could be not just for the company's reputation, but for the sensitive client data at risk.
The staff member's voice wavered as he continued explaining the chaos unfolding in the IT department. Suddenly, the office door opened again, and Jungkook stepped in, carrying the lunch bags.
The room's tension hit him like a wave. Jungkook quickly scanned their faces and the frantic atmosphere, instantly realizing this wasn't an ordinary meeting. He heard the staff member's final words about the hacking situation and understood the gravity of the problem.
Setting the lunch bags aside, Jungkook spoke up, his voice calm and steady. "I can help with this."
The room fell silent. All eyes turned to him, surprise and doubt flickering across their faces.
"Can you?" Namjoon asked, his tone skeptical but curious. He exchanged a glance with Taehyung, both unsure how Jungkook could assist in such a critical moment.
Jungkook nodded, his confidence unwavering. "Yes, I can. Trust me. Just take me to the server room. I'll figure it out."
The disbelief was evident, but there was something in Jungkook's calm assurance that made them pause. Most of them knew he had a background in computer science, but they had never seen him apply those skills in a high-stakes situation like this.
Taehyung looked at Jungkook, his eyes searching for even a hint of doubt but finding none. Trusting his husband completely, he turned to the staff member and said, "Take him to the server room."
The staff member hesitated for a second before nodding. "Follow me, sir," he said, leading Jungkook out of the office.
As Jungkook walked out, Taehyung watched him, a mixture of pride and hope rising in his chest.
The staff member, still unsure but desperate for a solution, led Jungkook through the hallways. Taehyung, Namjoon, and Yoongi followed closely, their eyes glued to Jungkook's determined figure.
The group reached the server room. A sleek, high-tech space filled with rows of machines humming softly and lights blinking in rhythmic patterns. Jungkook stepped inside and immediately scanned the room. His focus sharpened, and his posture straightened as he approached the main terminal.
Without wasting a second, Jungkook rolled up his sleeves and sat down at the desk. His fingers danced across the keyboard, accessing the company's network. Taehyung stood close, watching his every move with a mix of curiosity and nervous energy.
Jungkook began a full system check to figure out what had gone wrong. It didn't take him long to realize the situation was worse than expected. A virus had locked important files, the system's security had been breached, and someone had used another person's login details to break in. This wasn't a random attack... it was planned by someone who clearly knew the company's system very well.
"This isn't just some random virus," he said after a few moments. "This is a targeted attack. Someone who knows the system has been in here for days, if not weeks."
Namjoon frowned deeply. "Can you stop it?"
Jungkook didn't look away from the screen as he replied, "I can, but it's going to take some time. I need to isolate the compromised areas first." His tone was calm but firm, his confidence reassuring everyone in the room.
Jungkook's first priority was to stop the virus from spreading any further. He quickly isolated the infected parts of the system, creating a secure area where he could analyze the virus without risking more damage. As he worked, he carefully checked the network's activity logs. He noticed something unusual. An account with high-level access had been logging in at strange hours. This wasn't normal and gave Jungkook an important clue. It hinted that the hacker wasn't an outsider but someone inside the company.
Using his advanced tracking tools, Jungkook started tracing the hacker's location. Even though the hacker had tried to hide their identity by using a secure connection, Jungkook was able to uncover tiny bits of data that revealed the truth. To his shock, the hacker turned out to be a trusted employee who had been secretly stealing company information for weeks. Despite how alarming this was, Jungkook stayed calm and focused on fixing the system.
The next step was dealing with the virus that had locked the company's files. Jungkook carefully studied the virus, going through its code line by line until he found a weak point in its design. Using this weakness, he created a special program to unlock the files and completely remove the virus from the system. Once that was done, he restored all the company's important data from secure backups the hacker hadn't been able to reach.
With the immediate crisis under control, Jungkook turned his attention to strengthening the system's defenses. He updated the firewall to make it harder for anyone to break in again and added new security measures to protect sensitive data. He also updated the software to patch any weaknesses that the hacker might have exploited. On top of that, he set up alerts to notify the team if there was any suspicious activity in the future.
Minutes turned into an hour as Jungkook worked tirelessly. His face was a mask of concentration, his hands moving swiftly over the keyboard. Every so often, he would pause, his brows furrowing as he discovered something new. "Hyung," he said at one point, glancing up at his husband. "This isn't just an external attack. It's coming from someone inside the company."
"What?" Taehyung's voice was a mix of shock and disbelief.
Jungkook nodded grimly. "I've traced their activity. Someone from the technical department has been accessing sensitive files and trying to erase them."
Namjoon's face darkened. "Do you know who?"
"Almost," Jungkook replied, his fingers moving faster. After another minute, he froze and then smirked slightly. "Gotcha."
He pulled up the hacker's identity on the screen and turned it toward the group. The name displayed was one they all recognized, a trusted employee who had worked for the company for years. The betrayal hit like a punch to the gut.
While Namjoon and Taehyung processed the revelation, Jungkook continued his work. He blocked the hacker's access completely, restored the compromised files, and added multiple layers of security to prevent future breaches. His focus never wavered, even as the tension in the room grew heavier.
He gathered all the evidence he had found the activity logs, tracking details, and information about the virus. He compiled everything into a detailed report that the company could use to take legal action against the hacker. To make sure the system was fully secure, he ran several tests to see how it would handle heavy use and potential attacks. The system passed every test without any problems.
When Jungkook was done, the system was running smoothly and was even stronger than before.
Finally, Jungkook leaned back in his chair and exhaled deeply. "It's done," he said simply. "The system is secure, and all the files are safe."
Taehyung placed a hand on Jungkook's shoulder, his voice filled with emotion. "You saved us, Kook. You saved the company."
Namjoon stepped closer, his stern expression softening. "You did an incredible job, Jungkookie I'm proud of you."
Yoongi nodded in agreement. "I had no idea you were this good with computers. You handled this like a pro."
Jungkook smiled, his usual humility shining through. "It was nothing. Just a little tech support."
But to everyone in the room, it was a very big deal. Jungkook wasn't just the supportive husband standing by Taehyung's side. He was brilliant, capable, and had just proven himself in the most extraordinary way.
Soon, the news of Jungkook's efforts spread through the office. Employees couldn't stop talking about how he had single-handedly saved the company. And though Jungkook remained modest about his role as he never sought the spotlight, and never intended to hide his intelligence. But after today, everyone knew... Jungkook was not just the man who stood by Taehyung's side, he was a genius in his own right, someone who had just saved the day with his sharp mind and cool-headed resolve.
