Embrace of Love 𐤀 || TK ✓

Author's Point of View

Taehyung stepped into the living area, his deep voice carrying an air of finality as he announced, "We are ready."

The room fell into stunned silence. Everyone's eyes widened in surprise. No one had expected him to make such a decision so suddenly. But as the initial shock faded, their expressions softened into joy—pure, unfiltered happiness. They wanted to celebrate, to express their excitement for the young couple, but before they could, Taehyung spoke again.

"But there is a condition."

The joyful atmosphere shifted. Frowns appeared, curiosity taking over.

"And what is it?" Grandma asked, though deep down, she already had an idea of what was coming.

Taehyung inhaled deeply, his gaze unwavering. "The very next day after our marriage, we will leave for Seoul and begin your treatment. You will not refuse. And for that, we want this wedding to happen as soon as possible."

Jungkook, standing beside him, nodded firmly in agreement.

All eyes turned to Grandma, waiting for her response. They knew Taehyung and Jungkook’s decision was not impulsive—it was right. It was for her.

A few seconds of silence passed before Grandma smiled, her eyes glistening. "Okay."

Relief washed over everyone. They weren’t just happy about the wedding, they were relieved that Grandma had finally agreed to take care of herself.

Jimin was the first to react. "Oh my God! My Kookie is getting married!" he squealed, his excitement bubbling over.

Before Jungkook could react, Jimin threw himself at him, wrapping him in a tight, bone-crushing hug.

Jungkook, caught off guard, blushed but hugged him back, murmuring a soft, "Thank you, Hyung."

Yoongi approached Taehyung, his usual composed self, and patted his back. "Congratulations, Tae."

Hoseok followed, his face beaming. "I’m so happy for you both."

Meanwhile, Namjoon and Jin stood a little apart, their happiness overshadowed by hesitation. They wanted to congratulate their sons, but they also knew they hadn’t been forgiven yet.

Jungkook noticed them. His eyes softened, and he carefully untangled himself from Jimin and Hoseok before making his way toward them.

"Eomma, Appa… are you happy with our decision?" he asked, hope lacing his voice.

Jin and Namjoon shared a look before Namjoon finally smiled. "Of course, Kook. We are."

Jin reached out, gently patting Jungkook’s head.

Jungkook’s face brightened. "Eomma, I know you’ll convince Hyungie… he won’t stay angry at you for long."

Jin smiled, though it was tinged with sadness. He didn’t reply, just nodded slightly.

On the other hand, Taehyung had briefly looked in Jin’s direction. Their eyes met for a fleeting moment before Taehyung turned and walked outside.

Jin lowered his gaze, his heart heavy.

Jungkook sighed. "Eomma, just talk to him. I know he will understand."

Namjoon placed a reassuring hand on Jin’s shoulder. "Jungkook is right, Jinie. Let's go and talk with with him"

Both inhaled deeply, gathering their courages before following their son outside.

As They stepped out, they saw Taehyung talking to the gardener. Jin hesitated for a second before softly calling out, "Tae"

The gardener, sensing the need for privacy, quickly bowed and left.

But before Jin could say anything, Taehyung spoke first.

"Please, Eomma and Appa. I don’t want any excuses."

His voice was firm, but the coldness in it shattered Jin’s heart.

Silence stretched between them. Taehyung’s back remained turned, unaware of the tears that welled in Jin’s eyes.

Finally, Jin whispered, his voice trembling, "You really think everything I said before was an excuse?"

Taehyung didn’t respond.

Jin swallowed the lump in his throat. "O-Or that whatever we came here to say now is an excuse? I… I know we were wrong to hide this. But do you really think it was easy for us? Knowing it would break your heart? Knowing it would make you worry? Knowing how much you love your Halmeoni?"

His voice cracked.

"If you think being afraid of seeing our son sad, worried, and broken is wrong… then we are sorry, son. We have no other excuse to give you. I’m sorry… I’m really, really sorry…"

Jin turned to leave, his tears finally slipping down his cheeks. But before he could take a step, he felt a hand wrap around his wrist.

A second later, Taehyung pulled him into a tight hug.

"I’m sorry, Eomma, Appa. I didn’t mean it like that. Please don’t say this… please don’t cry Eomma. I’m sorry. I’m really, really sorry…"

Jin melted into the hug, his arms wrapping around his son, his hands soothingly rubbing Taehyung’s back.

"I should be the one saying sorry, son… Please don’t be angry at your Eomma."

Taehyung pulled back, his hands now holding Jin’s. His eyes were serious, filled with emotions.

"I just want one promise from both of you. You will never hide anything from me again. I understand you and Appa were worried… but hiding the problem is never the solution, right?"

Jin nodded, his eyes brimming with sincerity. "I promise."

“Me too” Namjoon spoke up.

A little voice suddenly echoed through the air.

"Dada"

Taehyung, Jin and Namjoon turned, their heavy emotions lifting as they saw Aera running toward them, her tiny arms stretched wide.

Taehyung knelt, catching her in his arms as she giggled.

"Done playing, princess?" he asked.

Aera nodded, rubbing her sleepy eyes. "Dada, I’m tired…"

Taehyung chuckled, pressing a soft kiss on her forehead. "Aww, my princess is tired? Let’s go inside. Grandma will make us a strawberry milkshake, okay?"

Aera’s eyes sparkled. "Really?"

Jin smiled, nodding. "Of course, sweetheart."

"Let’s go, Dada!"

Laughing, Taehyung carried her inside, following Namjoon and Jin. As promised, Jin made strawberry milkshakes for everyone, bringing warmth back into the room.

As everyone settled down, Grandma finally spoke up. "Okay then, let’s fix a date."

However, she noticed the room wasn’t as excited as it should be and she knew why as well.

She clapped her hands, getting their attention. "Don’t make me feel sick, okay? I’m still young and very excited for my bear’s wedding! So I’m warning you all—this is a house where a wedding is happening. No sulking allowed!"

She pouted like a child.

Aera giggled, not understanding but loving her Great-Grandma’s expression.

Everyone blinked, then smiled. They nodded obediently.

"Okay, so when’s the wedding?" Jimin asked, excited again.

"In three days." Taehyung declared.

Everyone widened their eyes—except Jungkook, who already knew.

"What?! Tae, we need more time for preparations!" Hoseok protested.

Taehyung shrugged. "That’s why I gave you three days."

Jungkook sighed, his voice gentle. "Hyung, we want a simple wedding."

Everyone exchanged glances before nodding.

Jimin smirked. "We’ll make it as ‘simple’ as we can."

Jin smiled. "Alright then, Tae, take Jungkook to the mall to buy wedding outfits and rings. We’ll handle the rest."

Taehyung nodded. "Get ready, Kook. We leave in thirty minutes."

And with that, the preparations for their wedding began.
