Wait, She’s a Billionaire ( Sheena Lawson )
Chapter 963
Elliot narrowed his eyes, feeling anger simmering inside him. However, upon seeing Romello hastily approaching to greet him, he quickly replaced his anger with a snarky expression.
âMr. Jenkins, why the early visit?â
Romello smiled, swiftly walking up to him, nodding slightly to show respect and courtesy.
In Romelloâs presence, Elliot glanced once again at Nathaniel not far away, casually stating, âLionel received a tipâoff that Nathaniel has been illegally leaving the country for the past year. Since we already found him, I came to arrest him myself.â
Romelloâs smile froze slightly.
âIllegally leaving the country? Mr. Jenkins, that sounds like an international matter. Shouldnât it be investigated jointly with authorities abroad?
âYes, but Nathaniel and I go way back, and I havenât seen him in a while. I plan to take him to the secret interrogation room for a private session to loosen him up a bit.â
Romello smiled and said, âAs the head of the National Investigation Bureau, Mr. Jenkins, you donât need to inform me of your plans for a private interrogation.â
Elliot gave him a disdainful glance. âYouâre the head of the Nicholls family, his elder brother. It was just a courtesy to inform you.â
âYes, Mr. Jenkins,â Romello replied, bowing his head respectfully.
Elliot led his team toward Nathaniel, who was struggling on the ground nearby.
With a sigh, Elliot clicked his tongue twice in frustration.
âWhat did he do wrong? He hasnât even been interrogated yet, and heâs already been
beaten like this.â
Romello remained unfazed and explained, âHe broke the house rules. As the head of the family, I gave him a small punishment. A few strokes of the paddle and a brief kneeling. Itâs not lifeâthreatening.â
Elliot walked coldly to Nathanielâs side without saying a word, his hands tucked into his military pants.
Nathaniel, visibly exhausted, looked up at Elliot, then glanced at Romello beside him.

His expression soured as he weakly addressed Elliot, âMr. Jenkins, whatâs all this about?â
Elliot remained silent while Lionel stepped forward from behind to explain.
âYouâve messed up, and Mr. Jenkins is here to arrest you for leaving the country illegally. Letâs go. Weâre heading to the interrogation room you know so well.â
Nathanielâs face paled, his expression shifting slightly.
His pale lips curled into a smirk as he mocked, âElliot, we agreed to let things be bygones. in front of Nana last night, yet youâre sending people to arrest me this morning. Youâre such a twoâfaced schemer.â
Elliotâs dark eyes simmered with anger, his brows furrowing as he stared at Nathaniel, clearly on the brink of losing his temper.
Romello observed their expressions silently, taking in every detail without uttering a
word.
Nathaniel continued to taunt, âIf Nana knew you were using your position to seek revenge and intentionally make things difficult for me, what would she think?â
Elliotâs expression darkened completely, his anger evident, as he kicked Nathanielâs uninjured left shoulder viciously.
âJust for insulting me, youâll
xperience every torture device available in the
interrogation room tonight.â
Nathaniel let out a painful grunt as he fell to the ground, too exhausted to get up.
Elliot looked away, saying, âLionel, take him away.â
Lionel waved to a few soldiers, immediately moving to haul Nathaniel away.
âHold on,â Romello intervened.
Elliot frowned, glaring at Romello with obvious annoyance at the interruption of official
business.
Quickly trying to smooth things over, Romello smiled apologetically and whispered, âMr. Jenkins, aside from official matters, he has also committed a grave offense against the Nicholls family. Could we postpone the arrest until noon? Let me interrogate him for a
few hours first.â
Elliotâs handsome face turned even colder, his displeasure evident.

Lionel quickly interjected, âMr. Romello, as you know, Mr. Jenkins rarely personally
participates in arrests. Heâs here this time, and you want him to leave emptyâhanded and return at noon?â
