Chapter 9: Three Items
Embersteel: Legend Of A Warrior BlackSmith
The cultivation room was a tattered mess of its former self, its roof blown to pieces and its walls filled with burn marks and large cracks of lightning scars, its majestic glory a thing of the past. Master Jiang Long stationed the open room on an island that was southeast of Xianyang, surrounded by a large lake that was the river head that flowed through the middle of the town.
The island was filled with bamboo trees and large patches of tall grass, several different plants could be seen nearby, giving the island a beautiful view. There was also a clearing in the center of the island that looked man-made, the cultivation building was in the dead center. It was the dawn of the second day, Jiang Feng's body slowly healed itself and Master Jiang Long had a gold scroll floating above his palm.
"Take this scroll, it will help you and the others find what you need. I will not spoil him, he has to grow into a man the hard way, and the heavens will not be kind to him"
Taking the golden scroll in hand, Master Jiang Long had a calm look on his face as he surveyed his unconscious son for the longest while- he knew that from here on out he would only have himself and the guidance of the Eternal Flame Codex to light his way forward. As one of the last among the titles of Warrior Blacksmiths, he knew more than anyone else how audacious it was to train both fields and how much willpower it would take to go down that path.
Not to mention the road of cultivation was one full of ups and downs to begin with, but he would also need to factor in reverse cultivation and its drawbacks if he were to run into any. Heaven's will wasn't something just anything could fight against and if one had little to no willpower to do so, then they would eventually die a horrible death both in body and soul.
"You may leave, the road you have chosen for him will be one frat in dangers and tribulations both from man and heaven alike. But if he can overcome this ordeal then all genius will have no choice but to bow down at his feet- now go, the outer world is also your stage"
The voice of the Eternal Flame Codex echoed in his head- its voice sounded like that of a master sending off its disciple. This phrase also held because it was the source of all the knowledge and battle arts of the Warrior Blacksmith clan-the Eternal Flame Clan.
"I will inform the others of your awakening, Lord Codex, I hope to see you and Feng'er soon" Jiang Long bowed before turning into a haze of mist that blew away with the passing wind. His cultivation was unknown to his son who had only recently found out that his father was a top expert.
"Hmm, things should start to get interesting from here on out. I can sense a strong evil presence in the air, chaos will descend in the coming years"
Golden lights shined as the massive floating book slowly vanished as it entered the mental will space of Jiang Feng, his body would still need a few days to recover in his unconscious state. He will be safe for the next few days because the island was cleared of all dangerous animals that could harm him or disturb his recovery process.
As night turned to day and day turned to night, six whole days had passed before Jiang Feng slowed and started to show signs of waking up. He was already in a new set of clothes that Master Jiang Long had put on him before he finished his conversation with the Eternal Flame Codex. As he slowly opened his eyes, the bright rays of the morning sun assaulted his senses.
"Father should be gone by now" Jiang Feng took a look at his surroundings but he was unsure of the area he was in, all he could see were bamboo trees and tall grass, even the destroyed cultivation building was gone.
"Where am I? I'm starving!"
Jiang Feng held his stomach that was growling, those at the Foundation Stage of cultivation would still need to eat to provide enough energy for the body. People at this stage would normally eat 5-10 times that of a normal person or they would consume the meat of beasts that were packed with spiritual energy.
"Hmm, what is this?"
Not too far away from where he woke, Jiang Feng saw a small box lying in the open field. Walking over to the box, he slowly opened it and found a note along with three items inside. The first thing he took notice of was a ring that couldn't look any more ordinary. But this ring was something his father wore on his finger from the day he was born.
The second item was a large round fruit with purple leaves that shined in the sunlight. There were serval vines on the leaves that twisted to form a roaring dragon with an imposing aura. As he continued to study the vines, he could see that spiritual energy was constantly being sucked into the fruit via the dragon vines.
"This fruit shouldn't just be any ordinary fruit, I wonder what uses it must have" Jiang Feng studied the fruit for a long time before moving to the last item.
This was a black dagger with sharp edges and a deadly sharp tip. Mystic symbols covered the blade from back to front and even the handle of the dagger had mystic symbols engraved on it. The materials used in the making of this dagger based on knowledge as the son of a famous blacksmith, must be first-class materials maybe even rear ores.
"A dagger that has visible mystic symbols? I've never seen anything like this before. Normally when father makers weapons, the mystic symbols were usually absorbed by said weapon upon its completion. This allows spiritual energy to flow smoothly from man to weapon and vice versa"
Jiang Feng eyed the dagger before taking it in hand. The dagger was shockingly heavy for its size, he had to use everything he had just to lift it. "My God, what kind of dagger is this"
Jiang Feng placed the dagger back into the box, he was so shocked that he stood in the space for a long time before turning to the letter that was placed beside the three items.
