it was packed. it seemed there wasn't a single area in the club where there weren't any people, until jamie found a couple of seats near the bar.

"you want something to drink?" he asked ask of us.

"i'll just have some water please" i smiled and everyone else said what they wanted. the bartender got our drinks and handed them to us, us saying our thanks.

me and trevor chat for ages, i found out loads. he plays for the anaheim ducks, his birthday is on 20th march, he has brother called griffin and a sister called ava, he's 20 and he's single. he also found out things about me, that i'm going to take criminology and law in uni, i'm 19, i'm younger than sherri and that my birthday is on 13th february.

we were just about to talk about my school, when all of a sudden 'ribs' by lorde started to play. me and sherri looked at each other with the widest smiles on our faces. "if you'll excuse me i'm going to go dance my heart out to this song. won't be long" i patted trevor's knee and hopped off the bar stool. he chuckled and went and sat on the stool next to jamie.

ribs was one of my all time favourite songs. i always felt so electric when i heard it. something i couldn't understand was that since people do not move an inch whilst listening to music. not even a tap of the foot. i loved music. i love the feeling of finding a new favourite sing. but i hate the feeling when i've overplayed too much sho it's no longer my favourite.

me and sherri scream the lyrics to the song and dance along to it. and by 'dance along to it' i mean just jumping up and down. i couldn't dance to save my life. we twirled each other around, almost getting dizzy. by the end of the song i was sweating and was out of breath. we walked back over to the boys.

"you looked like you are having a lot of fun out there" jamie chuckled. "uhh i'm gonna head to the restroom, so i'll be back in a minute and then, z you can go afterwards"

"oh no it's okay you both can go now"

"nah s'alright i can wait" he replied.

"no really. we'll be fine" i said. trevor glanced at jamie then back at me. i nodded reassuringly, smiling.

"i'll be no more then give minutes" he got off his seat, letting me take it since mine had been taken.

"okie dokie" i replied. i watched the two of them walk into the crowd until they were out of sight. sherri and i sipped our drinks and chatted about the night. she was already really drunk. she talked about how much she liked jamie and that she wished that he'd like her back.

"ri, i can assure you he likes you back" i smiled.

"really?" she sniffled.

"yeah"

"then why is he over there with some other blonde chick huh?" she pointed at a random black haired guy.

"well because, quite frankly, that's not him" i giggled. she tilted her head to the left in confusion.

"it's not?"

"no. look here they come right now" i said pointing in their direction. she gasped.

"i'm gonna tell jamie how much i love him" she gasped at the idea. sherri jumped out of her seat and brushed her dress down.

"no you're not. future you is gonna thank me for stopping you" i dragged her back too the stool. she guys stood next you the both of us and we talked about general things. sherri ordered another martini.

"she's really drunk" i stared at her. go her though. i hated drinking. i was sick when i had my first shot of vodka. so then at a different party i tried it again. but i threw up. again.

"is she alright?" trevor asked.

"yeah she should be" i sighed. she downed the drink she had just ordered and screeched when she heard 'take a chance on me' by abba playing.

"come on you three" she begged us all to join her dancing so i did and so did jamie. obviously doing it, so he didn't make her upset.

"trevor, c'mon!" i grabbed his hands. he shook his head. "pleaaasseeee" i practically begged until he gave in. it seemed as if everyone in the club was on the dance floor because it was an incredibly tight space. trevor and i danced together thinking nothing of it at the time. i searched the dance floor for sherri but she couldn't be seen. until i heard a 'woo' and saw her

crowd surfing.

"no way" i stare at her in awe, so does trevor and jamie eventually. social anxiety is scared of sherri martin.
