Chapter 1
Demon's Secret Wife (COMPLETED)
OMKAR:
India...
Serenity is the word that defines my country!!!
I have travelled the world. Trekking and exploring the world gives me immense happiness!
I have travelled different corners of the world discovering new places, new people! Nature attracts me!!!
But there's nothing like your own country! After living years in London finally I am back to my country.
India.
I was back to my hometown. My Mangalore. My Kodial. My Kudla. The place I once vowed to never visit again. But I came back. Yes I came back home finally after I gathered guts to face my father.
We as children at times forget that although we have grown up, our parents have the seen the world more than us. Dad kept warning me about Panchami. He kept saying she is manipulating me, playing with me. He always saw her true face and kept reminding me she is a gold digger but I trusted my so called 'love' more than my father.
I disowned them trusting the girl who became my world since 12 months and ended up consummating our relationship and when she claimed of her pregnancy I couldn't even think that she could lie about such a sensitive thing. I fought with my parents and left this country only for her to unveil her true face and claim that she did this for 'Us'.
Like seriously? Us???
And finally when she got to know I'm leaving her, she yelled at me saying...
'I must be lucky because she had chosen me over my younger brother whom she probably 'loved'!!!'. She choked my heart under the weight of her selfishness clearly stating how imperfect I am.
Yes I wasn't the usual kind of a guy!
I was a loner. I liked spending time in the wild. I travelled, clicked photos, enjoyed wild life safaris, sleeping under the stars. I had minimal requirements in life.
Food
Sleep
Work
Travel
Repeat.
This is how my life has always been. Yes I'm not the quintessential 3 piece suit, blazer, types!!! But that is how I am.
I like it simple. I feel hot and congested wearing so much of clothes. I believe in wearing clothes enough to cover myself.
Anyways girls like me in lesser clothes.
So do I!!
I wear shorts and a sando tshirt at home.
A ripped jeans and sleeveless tshirts, jackets, loose thin material tshirts to office, and in bedroom I believe in #FreetheD!!!
Yeah!!! I prefer my birthday suit!!!
But sleep and food is what I cannot compromise with!!!
Because if food is life, sleep is after life!!! Heaven!!!
My brother says I eat like a dinosaur and sleep like a dead body!!!
Well...won't lie!!!
I'm helpless!!!
Thinking about food I suddenly heard my stomach grumbling. I slowly switched off the music in my caravan.
Yes!!! I travel in a caravan!!! Reason???
I'm a huge guy!!!
I am 6.5!!! I weigh approximately 110 kgs!!!
I don't want to kill a baby car and neither do I want to torture my body.
I wouldn't mind a truck too but caravan is more comfortable when I'm travelling random villages.
I was traveling this weekend on a random trip as even though all the family drama has been resolved and my father and me have hugged it out but there is still issues between Rudra my younger brother and his wife Prarthana whom now I consider like a little sister.
They both are so much in love with each other but initially Rudra wanted to divorce Prarthana then Prarthana wanted to divorce Rudra. Now I don't know their complicated relationship status.
Just to help Rudy I even ended up taking over dad's organisation and resumed the CEO post here. Overnight I handed over my flourishing business to my team in London and came back to Mangalore to handle Nayak's!!!
Our ancestral business which was nurtured by my father, me and then my brother was now again in my arms as my brother wanted to only do jewellery designing like before and thought that 'Demon' can handle the market better!!!
Yup!!! Demon!!!
They call me one!!!
It's because Im ruthless when it comes to work and my commitments.
I am arrogant, blunt, dominating when it comes to my work ethics and can go to any extent to finish deadlines!!!
My employees feared me, market and investors would think twice before discussing with me but to my family I was a baby!
They pampered me! And honestly I loved it! I missed all this in last 5 years when i was away from my family. How much I regret loosing upon time. How much I regret not trusting my own people and giving priority to a random 'woman' upon my own family.
The reason I'm scared of this species called 'women!!!'.
I don't hate them but I don't want them in my life!!! Because I'm done with women!!!
I don't need women!!!
Because
'O.K doesn't need women to be O.K in life!!!'
I'm doing great without them!
I stopped my caravan and kept looking around and noticed a diversion.
One read...
Panchamarg and other read Phulvaspura!!!
I was in Maharashtra. Some random village in Maharashtra and I really didn't have a plan or a map to follow, I was on a random trip discovering greenary, villages.
With that I didn't really have a thing in my mind on which road to choose!!!
Panchamarg??? Sounds interesting but wait Panch...no no!!! Panch !!! Stay away from all kinds of Panch's!!!
Phulvaspura sounds more sweet and subtle. Phul definitely meant flower. And the road to the village definitely looked lush green.
Phulvaspura it is!!! Thinking I began driving into the village territories!!!
I kept looking for small hotels or dhabas and luckily I found a small shop which probably was serving food. And when it comes to food
O.K is a ogre!!! Hungry beast!!!
So I stopped!!!
â¨
'Yes Amma (mom) I'm fine...don't worry...tell dad not to worry...I will be home in somedays...ok...my thalipith is here I will talk to you later if I get network' saying I dropped the call.
The thalipith (maharastrian bread) with a spoon full of butter, pickle, garlic powder and white onion, my mouth drooled as the smell of food hit my nose. I began eating like no tomorrow.
After eating 8 thalipith, 5 glasses of kokum sherbath, 4 bowls of kelyanchi Shira (pudding made from semolina and banana)I burped happily. The shopkeeper swallowed nervously looking at me. I narrowed my eyebrows but soon realised why!
I reached here by 2 pm and it's almost 4:30 pm!!! And I have been only cooking and serving. I smiled as I burped again and paid him the money.
'Where are you going Sir?' the man asked and I said... 'Random trekking'
To which he came closer to me and said...
'Sir please reach your shelter before sunsets. Tonight is full moon and there is a belief here that on a full moon night witches roam around in pretty dresses l, luring men in their charms and finally sacrifice them to the devil to become more powerful' and he made a scary face like one of those in those 90's bollywood horror movies. I looked at him amazed and stuffed with another bowl of sheera and smiled.
He looked at me and I gave him a toothy smile and said..
'Its fine...people call me Demon!!! That way she'll be perfect for me!!!' and left a hearty laugh. I kept some extra money on his table and walked lazily towards my caravan again.
He was more than happy seeing the money and I looked at the sky. It was going to get dark. I quickly began going through the jungles to reach the village but then I noticed a board which asked me to avoid traveling post the night. So I stopped.
I looked around and the place I stopped looked beautiful. I parked my caravan and looked at the stars which were shining like little diamonds.
It's a rare to get to see stars in the city. Sudden wild floral fragrance hits my nose and I breath deeply. I park my vehicle and shift to set up my bed to sleep in caravan but then I suddenly have this craving urge to pee!!!
5 glasses of kokum sherbath doing the deed!!!
While coming back to my caravan I again smelled the strong wild floral fragrance... which flower is this I wondered and breathed again ufff this is breathtaking!!! While I saw a bunch of villagers running around with lanterns and emergency lamps in this jungle. Suddenly one of the man comes to me asking...
'Tumhi konala palaile aahe ka?' and I blinked!!!
He narrowed his eyebrows and asked...
'Marathi?' and I nodded a no...
'English?' and I said yes...
'Ok great... have you seen anyone here running around?'he asked
'Yup...those men!' I said and he nodded a no saying...
'No...ummm any girl?' and I wondered if they were into anything illegal and I nodded a no!!!
He called the men and continued searching for the girl here and there while I wondered what was happening!!!
I saw them dispersing in different directions while I went to wash my hands and face and finally lie down in my caravan.
But suddenly I heard ...
Chan chan chan chan...
And although I don't believe in ghosts I had heard of enough folklores about these pitch dark jungles!!!
I slowly opened my eyes and I could hear see the moon at its fullest and I suddenly heard a loud wolf cry!!!
The howl literally made me swallow my saliva!!!
And my throat went dry!!!
Shit!!!
Is this forest really haunted???
â¨
And I'm back!!!
So here's O.K for you...
Liked him???
Well there's more for you to know about him!!!
But then is the forest really haunted or is O.K going to meet 'someone' on this full moon night!!!
*Wink wink*
*Le me grinning*
