Chapter 1310
Julian’s Stand-In Wife
Julian was silenced by Dianaâs remark.
He couldnât utter a word, and could only wait for Diana to make the call.
The key was that she didnât want him to hear the conversation, and purposely went to the balcony to talk.
This made Julian incredibly curious, and he couldnât help but wonder what Diana had said.
âHow did it go?â he asked as soon as Diana finished her call and returned.
âFanny agreed to help,â she told Julian. âTomorrow, weâll have dinner on the top floor of SK Mall.
Thereâs a new Japanese restaurant there, and itâs very private.â
If Sue had someone tailing Cecilia, they could avoid being detected in there.
âLet Noel know the time and place. Weâll meet at SK Mall tomorrow,â Diana instructed.
Julian nodded, and kissed her cheek.
âHoney, youâre amazing,â he said, then held her shoulders and asked, âBut when did I remember her being your investor, but itâs not like you were close friends or anything.âBooks Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All Books Updatesâ¦
âWhen did you become so close to Oliver?â Diana retorted. âIâve heard your phone conversations many times, you know.â
âIt started when we shared a common secret,â he confessed. âHoney, as for Fanny⦠When you meet her tomorrow, please, whatever you doâ¦â
âI know!â Diana assured him.
She wasnât that heartless to break up someone elseâs family without warning. The problems between Fanny and Oliver werenât her concern.
Julian, on the other hand, seemed to be unusually distrustful of her.
Diana rolled her eyes at him, then pushed his hands away, preventing him from hugging her.
She asked sharply, âDo I come across as a gossip to you?â
Dianaâs tone had changed at this moment. Based on Julianâs years of experience in dealing with her, he knew that if he didnât provide a satisfying answer next, he might not even get to share the bed with her tonight!
A warning bell rang loudly in his mind as he mentally rehearsed all possible responses.
Finally, he settled on the one that seemed most likely to please her. âOf course not.â
Julian first denied the label, and then, he insisted on talking to Diana while hugging her, letting his body warmth transmit to her to ease her impatience.
âIn my heart, you are exceptionally beautiful, the most extraordinary of them all! By the way, honeyâ¦
Itâs been three full months today, so why donât weâ¦â
Julian trailed off, suggesting a way to make Dianaâs thoughts revolve solely around him.
The best solution, in his mind, was to go to bed together. This particular approach had been their tried-
and-true technique in their marriage, with an unblemished record of success.
Unfortunately, since Dianaâs pregnancy, this approach hadnât been put into practice for a while.
Diana wasnât buying into his proposal this time. âWhy donât we, what? You obviously thought about it!
You were worried that when I meet Fanny tomorrow, I might spill the beans about you and Oliver and reveal her background. Yet, here you are, denying it. Thatâs truly a manâs shamelessness! All talk and no action!â
Seeing that even embracing her wasnât working, Julian grew anxious. He decided to take matters into his own hands instead of asking for her opinion.
He simply grinned, placed her on the bed, and leaned in for a passionate kiss.
Diana intended to clarify the issue, but Julianâs assault intensified. She subconsciously protected her abdomen and was about to speak, when her lips were almost entirely consumed by his.
The air was stolen from her, and his breath invaded her senses, filling her heart to the brim.
It turned out that married women do indeed experience unsatisfied desires.
Diana thought about her increasingly irritable moods and her tendency to get fixated on small issues, and couldnât help but sigh deeply.
As the saying went, a woman at thirty was like a wild beast.
She wasnât even thirty yet, but her body was quietly declaring its desires. She just didnât voice them out loud.
Only the two people in bed would know that when Julian pounced on her, her joy bloomed like fireworks.
