Chapter 501
The Greatest Man Alive
Josuaâs words only attracted disdain and ridicule.
Now, Mr. MacMillan and his subordinates were in control, and whether this medicine batch could be delivered depended on their attitude.
âYou can continue to trouble me, but you will regret it,â Josua shrugged and said flatly.
âOf course, we can. Iâm afraid you wonât be able to send out a single drop of alcohol before you go bankrupt,â Mr. MacMillan smiled.
Josua turned around and waved at the employees of the storage and transportation department.
âGuys, continue to cooperate with their inspections. Let them do whatever they want!â
Mr. MacMillanâs expression turned gloomy. If other companies were targeted like this, they would have already given in and begged for mercy. But Josua was different. After all, he was rich and powerful, so targeting Poly Pharmaceutical alone may not make him give in.
Mr. MacMillan had some other thoughts in his mind, wondering if he should stuff some contraband into these medicines. Then, he could blame Poly Pharmaceutical and let Josua bear the consequence.
At this moment, a low-key black car drove into Poly Pharmaceuticals.
A middle-aged man in his forties got out of the car. He had a stern face and was wearing a black suit.
As soon as he came, he saw Mr. MacMillan and some subordinates dawdlingly inspecting the medicines transported by Poly Pharmaceutical. The man raised his brows fiercely, with strong dissatisfaction and murderous intent.
âIâm looking for Mr. Evans. Where is he?â The middle-aged man found a worker in uniform and asked in a deep voice.
âHeâs over thereâ¦â The worker was stunned for a moment, then pointed at Josua.
The middle-aged man walked directly toward Josua.
When Josua turned around and saw the man, he knew that this man must have come from the War Department. After all, this manâs temperament was very obvious. Although the man was not wearing a military uniform, he couldnât hide his vigor.
âHello, Mr. Evans. My name is Ferran Wells. Mr. Wordsworth asked me to come and look for you.â The middle-aged man walked up to Josua and immediately reached out.
âHello!â Josua paused, and then he shook hands with Ferran.
Josua realized that Ferranâs grip was very firm.
Ferran noticed that he could not overwhelm Josua with his grip, and he started to respect Josua a bit because not everyone could bear his Squeezing Power.
Josua shrugged and said to Ferran. âMr. Wells, as you have seen, we do want to deliver medicine to your hospital, but these guys delay us⦠They came early this morning to check our medicine.
However, they havenât found anything suspicious until now. These medicines are still hereâ¦â
The corners of Ferranâs mouth trembled slightly, and he became furious. He couldnât believe the Health Agency of Neva Province was so bold that they even dared to block the medicines about to be delivered to the hospitals of the Rosefinch War Zone!
These medicines were for the soldiers who were risking their lives to protect the country.
Mr. MacMillan glanced at Ferran but didnât pay attention to him.
Ferranâs car was just an ordinary Jetta, and Mr. MacMillan didnât recognize his face. Apparently, Ferran wasnât a leader of Neva Province.
âHello, please release these medicines from Poly Pharmaceutical immediately and donât trouble them again.â Ferran didnât want to waste any minute.
He knew Mr. MacMillan was the one in charge, so Ferrari directly walked over and persuaded him.
Mr. MacMillan was stunned and then smiled. âWho are you? As I said, Iâm just fulfilling my duty.â
Ferrari said expressionlessly, âItâs understandable that you want to check. But thereâs no need to open the boxes and check them one by one, right? Iâm sure they have the accompanying documents and transportation permission.â
Mr. MacMillan sneered. âOh? Are you lecturing me?â
Ferrari immediately became angry and said coldly, âIf any treatment in our hospital is delayed because of you, can you afford such a consequence?â
Mr. MacMillan laughed out loud and said, âWho do you think you are? Do you have the right to blame me?â
âI just want to delay these medicines on purpose. So what? What can you do? You can only blame yourself! You couldâve chosen another company to deliver your medicines, but you had to choose Poly Pharmaceutical! I have grudges against them, so I want to teach them a lesson. What can you do?â
âIf you want your medicines, ask another company!â
Ferran narrowed his eyes and kicked Mr. MacMillanâs belly.
Mr. MacMillan instantly flew out like a ball.
Mr. MacMillanâs subordinates were taken aback. They rushed over to help Mr. MacMillan up, and some of them came forward and scolded Ferran.
Mr. MacMillan was shocked by this kick. He never dreamed that someone would dare to beat him!
Mr. MacMillan bent down and puked, then squeezed out a few words, âHow dare you hit me! I donât care which hospital you are from. Iâll close it down tomorrow!â
Ferran went straight to Mr. MacMillan. The people around wanted to stop him, but he easily knocked all of them to the ground.
Ferran seemed like an undefeated general who overthrew Mr. MacMillanâs subordinates as if they were made of paper. A dozen of people fell to the ground, and Ferran walked up to Mr. MacMillan.
âMr. MacMillan, listen to my advice. Give up and apologize. You canât afford to offend Mr. Wells.â Josua narrowed his eyes and smiled.
Josua was anxious when Mr. MacMillan blocked the medicines, but after learning that these medicines were prepared for the hospitals of the Rosefinch War Zone, Josua wasnât worried at all.
He knew he wouldnât need to deal with this matter himself, and he didnât need to feel anxious. Because sooner or later, someone would come over and teach Mr. MacMillan a lesson.
Mr. MacMillan rubbed his stomach, stared viciously at Ferran in front of him, and asked with a grin, âDo you know who I am? How dare you hit me! Do you know I can crush a dumbass like you with just a single phone call?â
âDo you know how many people want my favor but fail? Let me tell you. Youâre in big trouble. No matter who supports you, they wonât be able to save you! Iâm sure of it!â
Ferran raised his hand expressionlessly and slapped Mr. MacMillan, whose nose bridge instantly broke with a crack Then, Ferran grabbed Mr. MacMillanâs thinning hair, stared at him, and said coldly, âOkay⦠Tell me, how big is my trouble?â
Josua stood aside and said to Geena, âWell, well⦠What a ruthless manâ¦â
Geena was speechless. She knew Ferranâs ruthlessness could be counted as tenderness compared to Josuaâs.
