Chapter 4
My Wife Is A Masquerade Master
As Madison pushed open the door, she saw Alison almost stumbling to her knees, but her eyes revealed excitement.
Obviously. Alison had just overheard the conversation between Madison and Neville.
Madison sneered, âSeems you donât mind picking up someone elseâs leftovers, regardless of how sickening it might seem. Admirable, really.â
Alison sensed Madisonâs discomfort and smiled, replying. âRest assured, Miss Guzman, Iâll be sure to take good care of Neville. I appreciate your generosity.â
Madison gestured for her to come closer.
Since they were in the Preston Group, Alison didnât think Madison dared to create a scene and stepped closer.
Madison whispered mockingly into Alisonâs car, âHereâs a little secret for you. Underneath all that exterior prowess, Neville is quite a letâdown in bed.â
Neville often left her exhausted, showing little concern for her pleasure and putting his own satisfaction first.
Alison didnât expect Madison to reveal something about s** and was stunned for a moment.
Seemingly surprised, Madison covered her mouth and exclaimed, âOh, really? You didnât know? It appears that youâve spent quite a lot of time with him without any physical intimacy. When a man lacks desire in a woman, itâs either she lacks appeal, or he views her as something less than a woman.â
Suddenly switching to a sympathetic tone, Madison continued, âMiss Conner, you are so pitiful.â
Stung by Madisonâs words, Alison felt a pang in her heart and clenched her fists Seeing Alisonâs distressed expression, Madison chuckled. âRemember, Neville is someone I donât want. You only get my scraps.
Alison turned pale, and Nevilleâs face became even more menacing. An unsettling tension filled Lu]
Bernardâs hand waver while holding documents.
Nevilleâs face darkened as he said, âWhat did she just say?â
Iâm someone she doesnât want? Has she gone mad?â he thought, the office room, making * Neville grew increasingly uncomfortable. He disliked Madisonâs current demeanor and particularly detested her remarks about not wanting him.
It should be him who didnât want her.
Bernard, seeing Nevilleâs dark expression, didnât dare to speak, afraid of hitting a nerve.
However, Madison was indeed different today. Previously, she was gentle, but today she was sharp and aggressive.
Alisonâs lips curved with a triumphant smile. She deliberately provoked Madison.
Nevilleâs pride was easily wounded, and such words naturally stirred his anger. When Alison went in later, she would embellish the details, further fueling Nevilleâs dislike toward Madison.
After calming herself down, Alison entered the office. Her eyes, slightly reddened, carried a hint of grievance. She said. âNeville, I accidentally encountered Miss Guzman just now, I didnât mean to pick a fight.â
Neville raised his cold eyes, looking at her meaningfully, and said, âDonât provoke her. It does you no good.â

Alison thought he was caring for her and showed a shy smile.
When she left, her gaze fell on the divorce agreement, and a faint smugness appeared on her lips.
Alison thought she won.
After leaving the office, Alison sent a message to Regina. [Regina, did Neville have a quarrel with Miss Guzman? Why did he sign the divorce agreement? Should I talk to him?]
Regina didnât pay much heed to the message, dismissing it as another outburst. After all, she believed that Madison was willing to go to great lengths for Neville, and she admired Alison for being considerate enough not to interfere in someone elseâs marriage.
Regina believed that only a woman of such nobility was deserving of her son.
Regina: [Donât bother with that b*tch. Let her make a scene. I hope Neville dumps her soon and marries you.]
Alison felt relieved, and in her excitement, she sent a message to Madison. [Miss Guzman, did you like the gift I sent you last night?]
Madison, upon seeing the message, understood everything.
It was Alison who sent the photos of Madison and Ross to Neville.
Since Madison and Neville had tied the knot, Alison had engaged in numerous schemes, skillfully manipulating others to further her own objectives Yet, Madison felt Alisonâs tactics were unneeded. Neville would still hold disdain for her even if nobody interfered.
Madison had tolerated it for Nevilleâs sake, but now, she decided to fight back. [Wishing you and Neville, a b*tch and jerk, a longâlasting relationship.]
Although Alison felt infuriated, the prospect of becoming Nevilleâs wife compelled her to suppress her anger, Just wait and see. The day my dream comes true will be your hour of doom, Alison thought Madison returned to her villa in the southern suburbs with her suitcase.
Madison had meticulously prepared this villa as a birthday gift for Neville. The interior was adorned in the sleek, cool styleâ he favored, featuring dominant black and white tones. In the fading twilight, the vacant villa felt desolate.
te had loved Neville for a decade, and she knew she would endure intense anguish when the time came to let go.
As she entered the villa, Madison sank to the floor, clutching her chest. Tears streamed down her face, and a tidal wave of emotions crashed over her, threatening to engulf her entirely.
The pain was unbearable.
In her youth, she ate the candy from Neville, imprinting this man along with the sweetness in her heart.
At sixteen, she was pushed into the pool by Ramona Austin, and Neville, like a hero, saved her from the brink of death.
At the age of twenty, Neville fell critically ill, and Madison selflessly donated her kidney to save his life.
In line with her hopes, they eventually got married. Madison acknowledged her own flaws and admitted her past manipulations, but she held onto the belief that Neville would come to recognize her goodness.
However, after his recovery, Neville transformed into someone she failed to recognizeâcold, unforgiving, hellâbent on belittling her at every opportunity.
Now, at the age of twentyâthree, Madison finally grasped the painful truth: Neville had never truly cherished her. With her dignity hanging by a thread, she resolved to bring an end to this marriage and safeguard what little remained of her self-
worth.
2 May After calming her emotions, Madison called her secretary Margaret Flowers. âDemolish Whitemarsh Chateau and renovate itâ
She wanted to destroy anything related to Neville.
That night, after Neville finished dealing with company affairs, he returned to the mansion in the early morning In the past, whenever he promised to come home, regardless of how late, a hot meal would invariably await him in the kitchen, and lights would flicker in their bedroom. The moment he stepped into the living room, a woman would tenderly present him with slippers.
But now, he was greeted by an empty living room, dimly lit.
Madisonâs abnormal behavior made him inexplicably annoyed, and his mood became restless.
He thought. âIs she silently resisting me now? I have only been a bit late today, yet sheâs already throwing a tantrum. Does she have to do so? I didnât delve into the issue regarding her and Ross. I hurried back after handling official business. Iâm nice enough to her. What else does she want?â
Neville couldnât suppress his restlessness, and his temples throbbed rapidly as he took quick steps toward the bedroom, kicking the door open. âMadison, come out!â he shouted.
