Chapter 21
My Wife Is A Masquerade Master
To celebrate Madison being single again, Ross and Hazel invited her to Night Bar in Norton.
This place was famous for its extravagance, and a VIP booth alone cost about 200 thousand dollars.
Madison accepted their invitation and wore a red strap dress.
As she entered the bar, Madison instantly felt overwhelmed by the dazzling lights and music. Young men and women on the dance floor were freely moving their bodies to the rhythm, seemingly releasing their desires.
Unaccustomed to such opulent settings. Madison rarely found herself in such places. Her usual destinations in the past three years rarely extended beyond the market and her own home. Stepping into this world of extreme luxury, she felt an overwhelming spin of dizziness wash over her.
However, she was unaware that from the moment she stepped in, Madison, a captivating figure in the eyes of many, had become the center of attention.
People approached her for conversation, despite Madison coldly rejecting them. However, seeing her alone, they couldnât help but speculate that she intentionally pretended to be aloof to elevate her status.
After all, women coming to Night Bar were either too lonely or seeking wealthy suitors Fortunately, Ross came to her rescue, causing those lonely men to give up. Before leaving, they couldnât resist glancing at Madisonâs stunning face.
Ross halfâjokingly said, âMadison, Iâve always said, with your seductive face, youâll never lack suitors.
Neville must be blind not to appreciate itâ
Madison furrowed her brows and said, âWeâve divorced, and there wonât be any further connections.â
âOkay, tonight, letâs just enjoy our drinks and not mention Neville at all.â
Hazel, upon seeing Madison, immediately poured her a full glass of red wine. âMiss Guzman, cheers to your singlehood. You have to enjoy yourself tonight.â
Madison smiled and clinked glasses with her.
âMiss Guzman, there are plenty of men much better than Neville. Iâll show you how to be a woman desired but unattainable by men!â Hazel said.
Madison chuckled, knowing that Hazel was just joking around. Privately, Hazel was loyal and only loved Ross.
Ross pulled her into his arms and said, âDarling, I canât tell you can be such a kind of womanâ
Hazel immediately begged for mergy. âI was just joking with Miss Guzman.â
Ross playfully bit Hazelâs lips as punishment, making her blush. He then realized to consider Madisonâs feelings since she had just divorced. Their overt display of affection might not be appropriate.
Ross then toned it down and said, âMadison, donât be sad. Leaving a jerk is worth celebrating. Donât feel sad about the terrible relationship.â
Madison took a sip of red wine. âIâm not sad. I just regret wasting ten years of my life on a man. I regret not realizing it sooner.â
In fact, from the beginning, she knew Neville didnât love her. However, she still chose to marry him.
Over the three years of marriage, she restrained her personality, tried to appear docile and gentle, even humbling herself to imitate Alison, but all of that couldnât earn her favor from Neville.
The miscarriage made her wake up, and the humiliation and misery reminded her that her obsession was a mistake from the start.
Ross blinked at her and said, âIâve prepared a surprise for you.â
Madison laughed, âAs long as itâs not a shock.â
âDonât worry. Tonight, Iâll make you charming and outshine everyone!â
He snapped his fingers, and young men who were energetically performing on stage immediately came to Madison.
They formed a queue, arched their bodies, and gestured for Madison to step on their backs. âPlease, Queen, mount!â
Ross excitedly said, âMadison, this is the show I arranged for you! Have fun!â
Madison was speechless.
She shouldnât have any expectations from him.
âMadison, get on quickly! This show costs 600 thousand dollars, and of course, itâs on you. Iâll only spend my money on Hazel.
Upon hearing this, Madison was shocked. 600 thousand dollars could afford a nice bag.
However, since the money had already been spent, she had to fulfill this guyâs intentions.
She took off her shoes and stepped on the backs of the men, with two handsome young men on each side assisting her.
After she ascended the stage, someone immediately pressed her onto a golden chair.
The young men began to dance energetically around her, the stage illuminated with vibrant colors.
Madison felt a bit dizzy, supporting her head with one hand, lazily enjoying the lively scene before her.
Someone handed her a money gun.
She accepted it with a smile, pressed the trigger, and banknotes showered down on the stage like rain, causing the crowd to cheer.
The crazy scene created an intoxicating atmosphere.
The moment Neville entered the hall, he saw Madison.
She now sat on the chair like an elegant queen. Her red dress was fluttering, and her long legs crossed. Her beautiful eyest ****made her look extremely charming.
He had never seen Madison so stunning.
For some reason, seeing those men infatuated with her, Neville felt furious.
The excited cheers from the audience made the entire Night Bar lively.
Hearing the deafening cheers, Nevilleâs companions couldnât help but look over.
Ryan tutted, âWhy do I feel like that woman looks familiar?â
Micah Myers, Nevilleâs friend, was the first to react. âDamn, Neville, isnât that Madison?â
Bryan said, âYou must be mistaken. Everyone knows that Madison only loves Neville. Besides, she has always been quiet in character. Sheâs probably waiting for Neville at home.â
Neville, who had been silent all along, now had a dark expression. The colorful lights projected onto his eyes, making them appear even colder and sharper.
13:22 Thu, 2 May Since the moment Madison divorced him, he felt an inexplicable discomfort.
Neville initially planned to let her taste bitterness. When she realized she couldnât give up on the identity of Mrs. Preston she would beg to come back to him.
He didnât expect her to show any remorse or selfâblame and even had a good time in a bar.
He underestimated her after all Bryan, seeing Nevilleâs displeasure, quickly intervened, âDefinitely not Madison. Look at the woman on the stage. Sheâs like a fairy, not Madisonâs style.â
Micah, rubbing his chin, said, âWell, her figure is excellent. Big chest, slim waist, and long legs. Sheâs stunning.â
Nevilleâs eyes swept over Micahâs face like a sharp knife. His voice was cold as he said, âWhat? Are you interested in my ex- wife?â
