+5 Elysia furrowed her brows as she looked at the hand that had grabbed her tightly. She relaxed her fingers and let go of Mia.

Suddenly, with force, she shook off Emma’s grip.

Emma stumbled back a few steps. She saw Elysia pulling out a tissue from her pocket to wipe her wrist, which Emma had just touched. Elysia’s gaze turned icy, as if Emma’s touch disgusted her.

“I am not your sis,” Elysia said as she wiped her wrist, glancing sideways at Emma. Her tone was calm but cold.

The crowd fell silent. Even Ava felt the tension coming from Elysia. Mia, looking at her reddened wrist, struggled to hold back tears. “Elysia, why do you treat me this way?”

Elysia’s eyes shifted to Mia’s other hand, her tone icy. “If your memory is that bad, I can remind you again. But this time, I’ll be more forceful. Do you want to test that?”

Panicked, Mia quickly hid her hand behind her. “N–no... there’s no need!” Having already felt Elysia’s strength, she knew she couldn’t handle another attack.

Satisfied with Mia’s response, Elysia’s look turned into one of slight scorn. “Just remember not to make the same mistake next time; the consequences will be worse.”

Before Mia could say anything, Elysia moved closer to Emma. “Your earlier comment was wrong.”

A sense of dread washed over Emma, and her nervousness grew. If it hadn’t been for her wish to win Mia’s approval, she wouldn’t have confronted Elysia.

Noticing Emma’s silence, Elysia explained, “Since you are not a biological child of the Rosewood family, what right do you have to call yourself my sister?”

Emma trembled at these words. Anger at Elysia consumed her. She hated these constant reminders of her painful reality. She resented how her pride was trampled on.

Emma thought, ‘Just wait! One day, when I become Vincent’s apprentice and return to the Rosewood family, you won’t be so bold, Elysia!‘

Elysia smirked to herself at Emma’s angry face; she knew Emma had cursed her many times in Emma’s mind. But she enjoyed seeing Emma helpless–unable to stand up to her, yet top proud to back down.

Elysia’s voice turned firm as she told Emma, “Extend your hand.

Emma hesitated, unsure of Elysia’s intentions, but knowing they were not good. She tucked her hand further behind her, trying to appear defiant.

“Are you refusing to extend it?” Elysia raised an eyebrow. “I have quite the temper, so think carefully.”

Emma remained still. The onlookers didn’t dare intervene, remembering Emma’s past scandals, which had drained any sympathy for her.

Seeing Emma not move, Elysia grabbed Emma’s wrist, and pulled her hidden hand forward. Emma’s hand turned into a fist Elysia frowned in annoyance; this was inconvenient.

Elysia pried open Emma’s fingers and placed the tissue she had st used in Emma’s palm. “Now you can hold it 16:16 Thu, Feb 6 GL Chapter 87 11 TEN 31%2 +5 Emma glared at the crumpled tissue in her hand, full of hatred. Emma thought, “The humiliation I endured today was all because of Elysia. I will remember every slight and repay them tenfold!‘

Just then, Natalie appeared. Witnessing the scene, she immediately hugged Emma. “Emma, are you alright?” Concern was clear in Natalie’s eyes.

Earlier, she had told Emma to stay out of Mia’s drama, letting Elysia do as she liked. But Emma, being “too kind“, insisted that Elysia was her sister and Mia was her friend, claiming she couldn’t ignore them.

Natalie thought, ‘Does Mia even consider them friends? When ugly rumors spread at school, has Mia ever stood up for Emma?

And when has Elysia ever treated Emma like a sister?

‘Elysia has taken so much from Emma, leaving her embarrassed, yet Emma still clings to the idea of sisterhood! Emma’s overly kind nature has only led her to be hurt over and over again.

Tears filled Emma’s eyes, her face showing distress. Seeing her, Natalie’s heart ached. Noticing the used tissue in Emma’s palm, anger surged within Natalie, and she threw it to the ground.

Turning to Elysia, her voice filled with anger. “Elysia, is this how you bully your sister?”

Elysia raised an eyebrow, looking at Natalie mockingly. “If she hadn’t grabbed my hand, would I have bothered with a tissue? Is it bullying to expect her to clean up the mess she caused? Natalie, your heart must be fragile like glass!”

. Elysia’s gaze locked onto Natalie, a glint of mockery in her eyes. And, she isn’t my sister, so don’t ever mistake her as such again.”

Natalie glared at Elysia. Ava rolled her eyes at Natalie, sarcasm dripping from her voice. “Be careful; your heart might just break!”

Natalie was about to respond, but Emma interrupted, “Natalie, it’s fine, after all, she is my...”

Emma hesitated, the word “sister” on her lips. Remembering Elysia’s earlier comment, she swallowed her words. Saying “sister”

would likely make Elysia even angrier, leading to more humiliation.

“Emma...” Natalie noticed the struggle in Emma’s face, feeling her own frustration rise, but ultimately stayed quiet.

Elysia’s lips curled into a slight smile; she was pleased with Emma’s reaction. As long as Emma could learn from her mistakes and stop pretending to be family. After all, they were never close.

With the situation settled, Elysia planned to leave. She grabbed her notes from Ava, throwing a scornful look at the two before walking away. Emma and Natalie could only hold back their anger.

Emma watched Elysia walk away, her eyes filled with a burning desire for vengeance. ‘Just wait, Elysia! Soon enough, I will repay every slight you’ve given me today!”

She then suppressed the rising anger, feigning innocence and sadness.
