Chapter 40
Pampered By Power: The True Heiress Returns
Chapter 40 Chapter 40 Ava looked at the scene before her and quickly grabbed Elysiaâs hand, worry etched across her face. âAre you okay?â
They had been stunned for a moment after hearing the conversation between their homeroom teacher and Elysia, and had only entered the classroom after her.
As soon as they stepped inside, they were met with a shocking sight that left them feeling uneasy.
Elysia hadnât even been criticized in the office, so how was it that someone wanted to hit her as soon as they returned to class?
This was way out of line!
How could anyone lay a finger on such a delicate, beautiful girl?
One of the boys, seeing Eric, gave a sheepish laugh. âOh, itâs just Eric. I just wanted to teach her a lesson.â
âTeach her a lesson?â Eric raised an eyebrow, tightening his grip on the boyâs wrist.
The boyâs face paled slightly, but he managed to force a smile. âEric, come on, have mercy.â
âWhy do you want to teach her a lesson? Didnât I say that you canât bully her? Looks like your memory isnât that great,â Eric replied, his hold tightening more.
The boyâs wrist was turning white from the pressure, and beads of sweat began to form on his forehead. It was clear he was using quite a bit of force.
Realizing that pleading with Eric was pointless, the boy turned to Elysia. âCan you please tell Eric to let me go?â
Elysia glanced at the girl lying on the floor before retorting, âAre you going to bully her anymore?â
âI wonât! I swear!â the boy stammered.
Hearing this, Elysia finally looked back at Eric and said, âLet him go.â
Eric first glanced over at Elysia, then at Grace, the girl lying on the ground, and quickly figured out what was happening.
He forcefully shook off the boyâs hand, a menacing tone in his voice. âI donât care what you do with the others, but you lay a finger on her, and youâre done for!â
Eric made it clear: what happened to Grace and the others was their problem. But when it came to Elysia, no one had the right to mess with her, no matter what she did.
Ava now understood the situationâElysia had been on the verge of being attacked, and it was likely related to Grace.
âGot it!â The boy clutched his sore wrist, a forced grin on his face.
Grace remained curled up on the floor, trembling violently. She had gone through this kind of thing so many times in Class 6:
isolation, silent treatment, verbal attacks, or even physical confrontations.
She hated the people in Class 6. Yet, she had never imagined someone would choose to help her one day. However, to her, this kind of help felt like pity and sympathy. She didnât need anyoneâs pity.
Elysia bent down to help her up. Seeing the fear in her eyes, she softly reassured, âItâs okay now.â
Grace finally took a good look at Elysia. She really was stunningly beautiful, beautiful enough to make anyone jealous.
Grace pushed away Elysiaâs hand and coldly said, âThanks.â Her tone held no warmth, Elysia didnât mind Graceâs attitude at all; to her, Grace wasnât worth it.
But Ava was fuming. She shouted at Grace, âWhatâs with your attitude?â
Grace didnât respond. She turned away and sat down at a desk.
Ava was even angrier. She rolled up her sleeves, and Elysia couldnât help but think Ava was being a bit hotâheaded. Quickly, Elysia tugged at Avaâs shirt sleeve. âLet it go.â
1/3 12:01 PM Chapter 40 âIâm standing up for you!â Ava insisted.
âI know, but itâs not necessary.â
âElysia, girls like her arenât worth your effort!â
âExactly, such an ingrate.â
Nearby classmates chimed in, echoing their sentiments.
Elysia glanced at Grace and firmly stated, âLetâs end it here. No one will mention this again.â With that, she led Ava away from the âscene of the crime.â
Ava was still sulking, pouting with an unhappy expression.
âDonât be mad,â Elysia said gently.
âWhy did you help her? Just look at her attitudeâshe isnât worth it!â Ava retorted.
âI just happened to be there and helped out. But why was she being picked on? Do you know?â Elysia asked.
Avaâs expression softened a bit before she replied, âShe transferred from Class 2. Everyone welcomed her when she first came.â
âBut sheâs so arrogant; she looks down on all of us. Over time, everyone just started to really dislike her.â
Elysia understood now. So, this was her own doing!
Ava pouted again. âNo matter what, youâre not allowed to help her anymore! People like her donât deserve it!â
âGot it, I understand,â Elysia replied.
âYouâve got to promise me you wonât help her,â Ava insisted.
Elysia looked at her, suppressing a laugh. It seemed like it was the first time someone spoke to her like this.
âOkay, I get it. I promise I wonât help her again. Is that enough?â Elysia said.
With that, Ava finally nodded.
Before class started in the afternoon, the homeroom teacher shared the schoolâs decision with the class. Everyoneâs spirits plummeted. The class being dissolved meant Class 6 would no longer exist at Milton School. They would be scattered to other classes like lost puppies and would face rejection and isolation.
They didnât want this, but if they wanted to improve their overall scores in the next exam, it was completely beyond their reach.
However, when Grace heard the news, she was actually thrilled. The dissolution of Class escape the nightmare of being in Class 6!
Given her grades, she shouldnât end up in too bad of a class. It was definitely good news.
After the homeroo meant she could be placed in another class and finally teacher left, the classroom fell into an eerie silence. Everyone sat quietly, lost in their own thoughts. After a moment, someone suggested, âHow about we go petition the principal Levi to not disband Class 6?â
âYeah, letâs go talk to Levi! No matter what he says, we have to try!â another said.
âI agree! Class 6 canât be disbanded!â
âIâve already decided. If Class 6 gets disbanded, Iâm dropping out! Iâm done with this school!â
âMe too!â
âThe competition hasnât even started yetâwhy are you all giving up?â Elysiaâs cold voice cut through the tension, and everyone turned to look at her.
Immediately, someone spoke up in defense, âBecause we know our limits. We canât do it.â
C Chapter 40 âYou can do it; you just donât want to. Youâre no worse than anyone else. Donât you want to prove yourselves?â Elysia said.
âWhy do we need to prove ourselves?â someone asked.
âBecause if you want to keep Class 6, you have to prove yourselves!â Elysia replied.
Everyone looked at her, puzzled. What was the connection between keeping Class 6 and proving themselves?
Elysia continued, âSince the school has made this decision, they wonât easily backtrack. The only thing you can do is face it headâon, not back down at the last moment.â
âWe want to fight, but what if we canât do it? Isnât that just a waste of time?â another student replied.
âThen if you know the petition could be useless, why are you still deciding to go through with it?â Elysia challenged.
Everyone fell into thought. Who could guarantee that the petition would succeed?
To Milton School, Class 6 was like a âtumor.â They would love nothing more than to see it disbanded. How could a few words or pleas change that?
In contrast, the only thing that seemed somewhat promising was Elysiaâs suggestion to âface it directly.â
âElysia is right; we canât back down. Itâs just about improving our grades! How hard can that be?â Eric chimed in.
Everyone stared at him in shock. These words came from the âbig bad wolfâ himself! It was unbelievable!
Ava nodded in agreement, âAs long as Class 6 isnât disbanded, any effort we put in is worth it!â
âExactly, we canât just do nothing and think we canât achieve it!â
âRight, letâs gamble a little. Weâre no worse than anyone else!â
Class 6âs spirits soared in an instant; they were ready to fight back.
Elysia smiled, satisfied. She had achieved her goal! Only by fundamentally changing their mindset could they hope for better progress moving forward.

Grace watched, anger burning in her eyes. She hated how Elysia always meddled in things. Wouldnât it be easier to just let Class 6 be disbanded? Why did she have to interfere?
