Chapter 216
Pampered By Power: The True Heiress Returns
Chapter 216 Thorneâs face was dark with anger. If it hadnât been for Melissaâs friend running into Dennis, they might never have found out about this, +5 Dennisâs cheating was okay to him, but the thought of Dennis with Emmaâhis exâgirlfriendâwas more than he could bear. Even if it had only been for a day, she was still his ex.
Thorne sneered, thinking back to how Emma had once claimed to be innocent. Now she was in his fatherâs bed. How could she be so shameless?
Melissa tugged at Emmaâs hair and slapped her again, her anger unchecked.
Emmaâs tears flowed freely, her face a mess of tears and tangled hair. Her clothes were in tatters, and she felt utterly helpless.
Thorne looked at her, his eyes cold and filled with hatred. There was no sympathy, only fury.
He stepped forward and struck her with a force that left a cut on her lip. âHow can you be so shameless?â he growled, his voice low and menacing. âDo you have any decency left?â
Robert had barely stepped through the hotelâs grand entrance when Elysia and her group pulled up outside.
As they got out of the car, they caught sight of Robertâs hurried figure disappearing into the lobby. Elysiaâs lips curled into a knowing smile. It seemed like tonight was going to be anything but boring.
Logan, already on the top floor of the Funya Hotel, could hear heated voices coming from the presidential suite. He quickened his pace, his heart pounding with urgency.
As he reached the door, he saw Robert standing protectively in front of Emma, while Thorne pointed at him menacingly.
âStay out of this,â Thorne warned, his voice dripping with hostility. âYour family isnât what it used to be. If you donât want to get hurt, step aside.â
Robert stood firm, his eyes blazing with determination. âYouâve got all these people ganging up on her,â he retorted. âDonât you think thatâs a bit unfair?â
âUnfair?â Thorne scoffed, his eyes narrowing. âWhat if she was in your dadâs bed? Would you still think weâre being unfair?â
Robertâs eyes flickered with surprise as he glanced at Dennis, who looked disheveled and uncomfortable. He then turned to Emma, who was sobbing uncontrollably.
She shook her head frantically, trying to deny everything, but that wasnât of any help.
Dennisâs face was a mix of frustration and embarrassment. He knew he was in the wrong, and every time he tried to speak, the words caught in his throat. He was furious at being caught, but even more frustrated that he couldnât do anything about it.
Elysia, who had been watching the scene unfold, sauntered in with a teasing smile. âWell, well, well,â she drawled. âI didnât know Mr. Ludwig had such a taste for drama.â
Everyone in the room turned to look at her. Robert and Thorneâs brows furrowed, while Emmaâs sobs subsided as she tried to make sense of why Elysia was there.
âWhat are you doing here?â Thorne demanded, his voice tinged with anger. He and Elysia bore grudges against each other, and he didnât need her prying into his familyâs mess.

+5 Chapter 216 âJust here to enjoy the show,â Elysia replied, her tone playful as she crossed her arms.
Thorneâs anger flared, but before he could lash out, Dennis stepped in. âThorne, calm down,â he said, his voice steady.
Thorne reluctantly held his tongue. He might be upset with his fatherâs actions, but Dennis was still the head of the family, and Thorne knew better than to go against his wishes.
Dennis straightened his clothes and forced a smile. âMs. Rosewood, my apologies for this... spectacle,â he said, trying to smooth things over.
Dennis, who always navigates the business world with ease, quickly guessed who was standing before him. Even if he hadnât met her before, he had clearly heard her name from Thorne. With Elysiaâs presence, he had already considered his options in his mind.
And Yuna was the second most authoritative figure in Arcanum House. Her closeness to Elysia showed that the relationship between Elysia and the Owner of Arcanum House was much closer than he had imagined.
He needed to handle this carefully. If he upset her and gave the Owner of Arcanum House a bad impression of the Ludwig family, it wouldnât be worth the trouble.
âMs. Rosewood, I apologize for the inconvenience,â Dennis said, his tone conciliatory. âItâs just a family matter. By the way, Emma was your... former sister, right? If youâd like us to let her go, we can do that for your sake. How does that sound?â
All eyes turned to Elysia, especially Emmaâs. Despite her upset by Dennisâs attitude toward Elysia, she had hoped Elysia would intervene. But the look on Elysiaâs face was anything but sympathetic.
âMr. Ludwig, as you said, thatâs all in the past,â Elysia replied with a smile, her tone cool and distant. âDo whatever you want.
Donât worry about me. Just act like Iâm: not here.â
Emmaâs face fell, her hope replaced by a deep sense of disappointment and betrayal.
Thorne, on the other hand, looked pleased. He reached for Emma, but Robert quickly moved to block him. âJust say the word, and Emma will be safe,â Robert insisted, glancing at Elysia.
âIâm not in the business of saving people like you,â Elysia replied, her voice flat.
Thorne laughed, a harsh sound that cut through the tension. âDid you hear that, Mr. Davis? Stay out of this, or Iâll make sure you regret it.â
Melissa had already stepped back, keeping her distance. She knew it was best to let Thorne handle the situation. If she got involved, it would only lead to gossip and trouble. These were young people, and she, as an elder, shouldnât meddle in their affairs.
