Chapter 212

Pampered By Power: The True Heiress Returns

Chapter 212 Chapter 212 4.622 Berenger and Odalyn were utterly shocked. They’d never expected Bella to discipline Emma. After all, Bella had always treated Emma like a precious gem, never even raising her voice, let alone a hand.

But to be honest, they had all seen this coming. Emma’s spoiled, entitled behavior was largely Bella’s doing. Years of coddling had turned her into a disrespectful, vain young woman.

Berenger and Odalyn knew Emma wanted to return to the Rosewood family for their wealth and status. Now that Bella couldn’t provide all this, Emma was ready to abandon her.

So when Bella finally slapped Emma, Berenger and Odalyn felt a sense of relief and pleasure. It was long overdue.

Scott, however, remained eerily calm. The more Bella and Emma fought, the easier it would be for him to get what he wanted.

Once he had the money, Emma would be nothing more than something he could discard. Her life would no longer matter to him.

A sly smile flickered across Scott’s face as he looked at Bella. He snapped, his voice tinged with a hint of resentment. “What are you doing? She’s your daughter. Why would you hit her?”

Bella didn’t know what he wanted, but she met his gaze with an unwavering stare. “You’re right–she is my daughter, not yours.”

Scott’s jaw tightened. “I never deny that, but don’t play dumb. I’ve been there for her for eighteen years. Blood or not, she’s as much mine as yours.”

Before things could escalate further, Berenger stepped in. “Enough! Let’s all calm down. Bella, be reasonable.”

Bella lowered her head, not wanting to argue with Berenger. She didn’t say a word, but her silence spoke volumes.

Scott, growing impatient, decided to cut to the chase. “Bella, if you don’t want to come back with me, that’s your choice. But Emma’s decision is hers alone.”

He then turned to Emma. “Emma, do you want to come home with me?”

Hearing him, Emma’s eyes lit up, and without hesitation, she said, “Of course.”

“Alright, then let’s go home now.” Scott nodded and stood up, Emma following suit, eager to leave with him.

Bella remained silent and gritted her teeth, her head still bowed. She felt a mix of anger and disappointment–how could her own daughter betray her like this?

“Berenger, Odalyn,” Scott said, “thanks for your hospitality. Emma and I are leaving. See you.”

Berenger hesitated. “But... what about Bella?”

Scott glanced at Bella and said with no joy, “I said that’s your choice. I won’t force her.”

Berenger then said to Bella, “So, Bella, you heard what Scott said. Maybe you could go-”

Before Berenger could say another word, Bella interrupted, “Don’t bother trying to persuade me, Berenger. I’m not going back with him.”

Hearing this, even though Berenger wanted Bella to go with Scott, he didn’t push it further and just let her make her choice.

Scott gave her a cold look and then left with Emma without another word.

Bella’s voice was cold. “Let her go. Once she’s had enough of Scott, she’ll come back. Just you wait and see.”

02%1 +5 Bella wasn’t sure what Scott was up to, but she believed he wouldn’t hurt her–after all, he’d raised Emma for so many years.

Still, she knew Emma’d face some tough times. She knew Scott; he was never a generous and kind man. He wouldn’t treat Emma like before, giving her everything she wanted.

Berenger exchanged a suspicious look with Odalyn in silence. Scott had come to their home, left Bella behind, and taken Emma, who was not even his real daughter. Something really felt off.

However, since Bella didn’t seem concerned, what could they do? And they agreed that maybe it was for the best–at least they wouldn’t be troubled again.

Emma trailed Scott to the villa entrance, her breath catching at the sight of a dozen bodyguards in black suits standing at attention. “Dad... who are all these people?” she asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

Scott glanced at the men briefly before turning back to her, his expression unreadable. “They just came here from Sivro with me,”

he said curtly, opening the car door with a sharp tug. “Get in.”

Scott’s mind flashed back to his original plan: If the Jackson family had refused to let her go, he’d been prepared to storm the gates and drag Emma out, and these men would’ve been his help. But her cooperation had spared him the chaos.

Emma hesitated, a knot forming in her stomach. But she didn’t voice her concerns and just ducked into the backseat, thinking maybe he needed her help.

The car sped from Shecrity to Sivro, the city’s skyline unfolding like a familiar embrace. Emma gazed out the window, her heart swelling with a mix of triumph and longing.

This was her city, her home, and she was back to claim her place. No more rivals, no more shadows–just her, the sole heir to the Rosewood legacy. Respect, power, and the cold satisfaction of never being looked down upon again.

The car soon rolled into the Rosewood residence and Emma stepped out. The mansion loomed ahead, its grandeur a silent reminder of the life she’d enjoyed for 18 years. She told herself once and once again, she’d clawed her way back here.

Before she could savor the moment, Scott’s voice cut through the air like a whip. “Get inside and fix yourself up–we’ve got a client to meet.”

Emma froze. Her mind raced. ‘A client? Really? I’ve trailed Dad to galas and clubs before, but never to a business meeting- he didn’t even ask. And this when I’m right back? What has changed? Why now?‘

Scott’s eyes narrowed as he studied her shock. “You’re my only daughter,” he said slowly, each word a calculated strike. “The family business is yours someday. Might as well start learning the ropes.”

Emma’s eyes sparkled with surprise and thought, ‘Mine? I’m gonna take charge of the Rosewood Group?‘
