Judith used to think that she had to be grateful to her parents. Now, she understood that it didn’t matter. Her brother could do whatever he wanted. It was only she and her younger sister who had to act grateful.

Judith laughed. “Ironic. It’s truly ironic.” Her head was bleeding but she couldn’t stop laughing. Her eyes seemed to be shrouded in a thick black fog.
