Chapter 893
Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)
Chapter 893 Lachs Surrounded Matthew glanced at Wilson and smiled. âI knew youâd make the right choice, Mr. Lach. Youâre a better leader than the last two family heads.â
Wilson broke out into a smile again. âAll to get the familyâs glory back. Underhanded, yes, but it works.â
Matthew smiled as well. âAnd thatâs why I want to work with you. Yes, your tactics are underhanded, but it works. However, thatâs not the point. Point is, donât forget about your promise.â
Wilson turned solemn. âI always tell the truth when Iâm not smiling, Mr. Larson.â
Matthew smirked. âSo everything you say is a lie whenever you smile?â
Wilson laughed. âNot all the time. Well, ninety-nine percent of it, Iâd wager.â
Matthew looked at him. âYouâre scum, but at least youâre no hypocrite. Right, Iâll leave the rest to you.
Iâll call you if I need anything. Oh, you know what to say about tonight, right?â
Wilson nodded. âIâm not a genius, but Iâm not stupid either. Nobody will know about our deal. Weâll still be enemies in the public eye.â
Matthew nodded with satisfaction and went over to hold Sasha up.
A short while later, Tiger and his gang came in as well. Leroy came back into the living room in a panic and whispered to Wilson, âWilson, weâre surrounded.â
Wilson was shocked, and he gazed at Matthew. It was at that moment he knew Matthew had seen through his whole plan. His family was already in danger from the moment Matthew came in. If he had refused to ally with Matthew, his whole family would have been destroyed. Yes, the realization came as a shock, but it also excited him. Wilson wanted to see if Matthew could really manage the impossible.
Tiger and the others took the Cunninghams back to The Grand Garden. They were only asleep because Matthew pricked their acupoints. Once they got home, Matthew released them from their slumber.
The moment James regained consciousness, he leaped up, shouting, âWh-Where are we? Are you alright, Sasha? Whereâs your mother? Oh, sheâs here. Phew, sheâs alright. Oh, right! Call the cops!â
Sasha and Helen took their phones out nervously and were about to call the cops, but Matthew blurted, âItâs fine. Weâre fine now.â
James stared at him in disbelief. âR-Really? Weâre okay? But I thought the Lachs kidnapped us. They broke into our house, didnât they?â
Matthew smiled. âTiger got the news and busted us out.â
The news delighted James. âReally? Oh, heâs such a good friend. You found a rare gem, Matthew.â
Sasha pouted. âI seem to remember you calling Tiger a worthless ruffian.â
James quieted down, embarrassed by what his daughter said.
On the other hand, Helen gasped, âWhereâs Minerva then? Why isnât she here? Is she alright?â
James shot up and gave his wife a tight slap. âDonât talk about that piece of trash! She almost got us killed, for Peteâs sake!â
