135 135. She Moved His Heart
Clara screamed and covered her ears. Tears suddenly flooded her face.
âStop!â Clara screamed in pain.
However, it was as if Claraâs screams were not heard by Samuel. Samuel continued to play his piano fast, not caring about his surroundings. His face was tense and angry. His eyes are bloodshot. Sweat dripped down his temples, cheeks, and nape of his neck.
âStop!â Clara shouted again.
When she realized that Samuel didnât hear her, thatâs when Clara immediately stepped closer to Samuel. She hugged the man who was immersed in his music, trying to stop whatever he was doing. She held him to her chest and pulled him into her tenderness, making Samuelâs fingers slip away from the piano keys.
Claraâs intoxicating scent like summer cherries wafted into Samuelâs nose, making the owner of the emerald green eyes return to reality. He realized that he was not playing music for Clara, but for himself.
âSorry! I â¦,â said Samuel who looked dazed.
âWhat was that?â asked Clara with a look of pity. Panic and confusion.
âThat ⦠I arranged it myself two months ago. Was that so bad?â asked Samuel worriedly.
.....
Clara gulped. She couldnât say that Samuelâs music was bad. She just couldnât bear the sadness playing in Samuelâs music. It all made her remember all the sadness that hit her.
âI just immediately thought of how shit my life is!â said Clara without a smile.
Realizing the tears on Claraâs cheeks, Samuel asked her for permission to wipe them away. âCan I?â he asked hesitantly.
Clara smiled. She brought Samuelâs hand to her cheek, asking him to wipe away her tears. She didnât know him. However, for some reason, having him as an escape made her feel at ease.
While Samuelâs long fingers stroked Claraâs smooth cheeks, the woman wiped the sweat on the side of Samuelâs face with her fingers. This made him feel the same way that she felt. Their hearts moved.
âAre you broken-hearted?â asked Clara curiously. Even though Samuelâs face indicated that he was indeed heartbroken, the question still left her lips.
âThatâs it,â Samuel said hoarsely. âSheâs someoneâs wife. I shouldnât have expected her.â
âWow,â Clara said, raising her eyebrows. âWhat a terrible love affair you have. She loves you?â
Embarrassed, Samuel shook his head. âThey only married because of family business matters. Her husband already has a girlfriend, but he left his girlfriend. I didnât expect them to maintain their love even though her husband was broke.â
âGreat. They love each other. Youâre the bastard!â Clara said as she hit Samuelâs chest.
âIâm such an asshole,â Samuel said. âI just donât know what to do because I fell in love at first sight.â
âPoor you, your love is unrequited.â
âRight.â Samuel laughed wryly.
âYouâre handsome. Donât act like a hopeless person,â Clara said laughing.
âYou as well. How is your relationship with the man who was looking for you that night?â asked Samuel, he still remembered that when Clara kissed him, a man was looking for her. âYou dumped him already?â
Clara responded by tightening her lips and shaking her head. âMy father ... our family doesnât want this marriage to be canceled,â Clara whispered.
Samuel laughed sarcastically. What Clara said wasnât very convincing to Samuel. âYou love him, thatâs why you donât break up right?â He guessed, accusing her.
âI loved him, but he impregnated another woman,â Clara complained, laughing bitterly. She looked away from him. âThe problems are much more complicated than that.â
âWhat an asshole,â Samuel commented angrily.
Clara swallowed heavily, then looked away from Samuel. No one spoke, no sound. Only the sound of the wind blowing softly against the window made the night less still.
âToo confusing. I donât even know what I should do,â Clara whispered in a weak murmur. Then she said again, âWhy donât you play something fun?â
He smiled lightly. âThatâs a better option.â
Clara then took a position to stand next to Samuel, leaning against the side of the piano. She felt comfortable when Samuel started playing the keys, playing music that calmed her heart. Washing away Claraâs feelings, as well as her body.
Unknowingly, Claraâs hands and feet were moving on their own, swaying, moving according to the rhythm. Her beautiful body which was wrapped in a tight top and pencil pants looked even more beautiful as she swayed to and fro.
Samuelâs eyes couldnât help but be drawn to see the beauty presented before him. Beautiful bend. Even though she was not as skilled as a professional ballerina, her beautiful body and gorgeous face made her moves look perfect.
âShe can dance apparently,â whispered Samuel to himself.
Samuel gulped. He remembered that he had not spent a night with a woman in a long time. He wasnât sure heâd be able to get through the night without struggling.
Samuelâs darkened eyes followed Claraâs every move. The longer the more drifting in her charm. He really wanted to touch her.
Before long, Samuel stood up from his seat and moved quickly to leave the piano. His hand reached for a shocked Clara as he joins her in the dance.
âYou startled me,â Clara protested.
âYou too. You didnât say you were good at dancing,â whispered Samuel in a hoarse voice.
âOnly compulsory lessons since childhood,â Clara answered with a smile. She enjoyed Samuelâs swings. Their movements were in sync. âIs there a problem?â
Samuel didnât answer, he just stretched Claraâs body, then pulled her back into his arms. The two of them danced in rhythm, without hesitation and awkwardness.
Movement after movement they did, until their faces were only an inch apart.
It was then, Samuel whispered in a hoarse voice, âI forgot to say, that I like women who are good at dancing.â
Samuelâs whisper seemed to bewitch Clara. Those dark emerald eyes stared at her intensely. Her face blushed.
âYour dance is very exciting foreplay for me,â Samuel whispered. âWe were both wounded. Why donât I help you lick your wound and so do you?â
