Yu Tingyun asked, “Ah Yan, didn’t you say that you have something to talk to me about? What is it?”

Qiao Mu froze, and she raised her head to look at Li Yan without being aware of it. She was extremely nervous, and she was clutching her chopsticks so tightly that her veins were bulging.

Li Yan put down his chopsticks and glanced nonchalantly at Qiao Mu. He then said flatly, “I just want to tell you that I’m about to move back into the Li family’s mansion.”

The Li family’s mansion was right beside the Qiao family’s mansion. After Li Yan’s family moved away ten years ago, the mansion had been empty. But a butler had been keeping a watch on the mansion.

When Qiao Mu heard that, she immediately breathed a sigh of relief. It turned out that what Li Yan wanted to talk about had nothing to do with her!

But he would be staying right next to the Qiao family’s mansion in the future, and he would be near to Yu Tingyun. He might do things that would put her at a disadvantage at any time!

Just like how things were ten years ago, he would be staying in the Li family’s mansion again. But he was no longer that big brother she knew.

Yu Tingyun said with a smile. “That’s great. We’ll be neighbors again. Oh, by the way, why are uncle and aunty not coming back?”

There was a nonchalant expression on Li Yan’s face, and there was a hint of a smile in his eyes. However, there was also a hint of coldness in his eyes at the same time. “My mum doesn’t feel like returning to this country, as she would have to face the sad events that had happened. As such, she won’t be coming back anytime soon.”

After the meal, Li Yan left the Qiao family’s mansion. The moment Li Yan took his leave, Qiao Mu did not want to stay in the Qiao family’s mansion anymore. She grabbed her backpack and left.

The sky had turned dark, and there was no one in the area around the Qiao family’s mansion at all. Qiao Mu walked quickly toward the bus station.

The moment Qiao Mu arrived at the station, a black Bentley Mulsanne stopped before her.

Amid the night, Li Yan’s wild, playful and devilishly charming face appeared in Qiao Mu’s field of vision.

Qiao Mu wanted to say no, but she reckoned that she should not piss him off right now because he still owed her money. She entered the car reluctantly.

The car moved slowly.

It was silent inside the car. The man beside Qiao Mu was focusing on the road, while Qiao Mu was looking at him with her head turned. From the side, his facial features looked even more deep-set and exquisite. It was as if this man looked perfect from every angle. He was seriously a charming devil!

All of a sudden, the man, who Qiao Mu had been fixing her gaze on, turned. Their eyes met, and Qiao Mu was flustered.

He arched an eyebrow. “You’ve been looking at me since you entered the car. Am I very handsome?”

‘What a narcissist!’

Qiao Mu pouted. But when she recalled that she still needed money from him, she flashed a wide smile. “Of course you are. Uncle, you’re the most handsome man I’ve ever seen!”

Li Yan’s expression did not change. From the tone of her voice, he could tell that she was trying to get something from him.
