“You’re having dinner at a friend’s house?” she asked curiously. Is it a party or a date?”

A gathering was a group of people, and a date was a solo date. Chi Xia’s mouth twitched and she answered directly, “”It’s just a casual meal between friends. The other party is a girl.”

Chi Xia could hear disappointment in those few words.

Su Chen didn’t say anything after hearing Chi Xia’s words. He hoped that she was really willing to cook for him and not that she had accepted his money.

Su Chen looked at her holding the scissors and looked at the fish, not knowing what to do. He said helplessly, “”Didn’t you already call to ask? What are you looking at?”

Su Chen was speechless.

“So, are you mourning for a dead fish?”

She watched as Su Chen cut open the fish’s belly with his nimble hands and exclaimed in surprise, ” You can cook? ”

“I won’t.”

Su Chen glanced at Chi Xia and said something infuriating, ” This is the simplest way to wash fish. It’s like washing vegetables. Even if I don’t know how to cook, I can do it. ”
