Chapter 34

I Refuse to Divorce!

Lockwood Manor was brightly lit, with servants bustling around, serving various dishes on a large

dining table.

Barbara personally hovered over everyone, worried that her grandson would not be in good spirits

tonight. She even had the kitchen make stew and health tonics.

Barbara presented it attentively to Zoe.

Barbara chuckled. "I've looked at the charts. I'm sure you'll get pregnant tonight.”

Even after three years of marriage, Zoe blushed at such intimate talk, especially with several servants

standing in the hall.

Mason cast a glance at her.

Unabashed, he sweet-talked Barbara, "I'll have to put in some effort later to make sure we have a

grandchild for you soon, Grandma.”

Barbara could not stop smiling, as if the chubby great-grandchild were already waving at her. She

then served her grandson a bow! of soup, saying, "This soup has been simmering for hours. Drink it

while it's hot. It'll boost your stamina.”

Mason's expression remained unchanged.

Zoe thought he was an expert at pretending and fooling people. Every time they had marital

relations in the past three years, he reminded her to take contraception. He clearly did not want

children, but in front of Barbara, he pretended to cooperate.

Sensing her gaze, Mason looked at her and wiped his lips with a napkin, saying, "Grandma, it's

getting late. Zoe and I will go upstairs now."

Barbara urged him, "Go ahead, go ahead!"

After that, she went to burn incense, complaining about Mason's mother for not caring about

continuing the Lockwood family line. She knew her son and daughter-in-law had returned, yet she

went to sleep early.

It was unbelievable.

Mason took Zoe's hand and led her upstairs.

In the master bedroom, Zoe struggled to free her hand, her tone indifferent.

"Alright, the show is over. Can you let me go now?"

With a bit more force from Mason, she found herself trapped in his arms.

He lowered his head, looking down at her. His nose inadvertently brushed against her, and his voice,

low and husky, said, "You've had the soup. Why don't we do it? It's been so long since we had sex. I

don't believe you don't want it."

Now that they were alone, Mason finally showed his true colors.

He mentioned Barbara wanting to see her, which was probably just an excuse. In reality, he wanted

to deceive her back into having sex with him. Zoe could not help but feel a mixture of

embarrassment and frustration.

Mason seized her hand, attempting to touch her.

Zoe found him crazy, but her body told her otherwise.

Mason held her down.

He leaned into her ear, his seductive voice murmuring, "Do you want it? If you do, I can give it to

you right now."

If it were in the past, Zoe would have already embraced him, letting her body go limp and kissing

him. Mason rarely acted so gently, but now she found it pathetic. She had wasted three years in this

loveless marriage.

Zoe curled her hand.

With her head down, she gently sighed against his shoulder, deliberately saying something to

dampen his mood.

She said, "Mason, if you really want it, you can look for Lilith. I don't desire you. Besides, we're

getting a divorce soon.”

In the next moment, Mason let go of her.

He took a step back, observing her nonchalant demeanor.

This woman really did not care.

A woman who cared for her husband would never say such words.

Although Mason had never felt any physical desire for Lilith, at this moment, he did not want to

explain anything to Zoe in his anger.
