“Ms. Ray, I have brought your meal.”

“Huh? Oh, thank you?”

The maid comes into the room trailing a wagon that clatters as it moves.

It seems like the food was in the wagon. A really nice smell followed it.

I didn’t even notice it myself, but it seemed like I was pretty hungry.

I wonder how much time has passed since then.

“Please have a nice meal.”

The maid says as she prepares the table for me. As soon as she was done, she immediately prepared to leave.

“…You have been asleep for a whole day.”

She said. She then politely bowed and then left the room.

I feel like that maid doesn’t like me.

Her expression was rather cold.

Still, I can’t believe I was asleep the whole day. Was the paralyzing drug that I shot with that strong?

The meal was rice porridge with bread. That makes sense, I have been asleep the whole day. So, she prepared something that’s light on the stomach for me.

I readily grabbed the spoon and took a bite.

Unlike her cold demeanor suggests, the food she prepared was very delicious. Though the portion was a bit too small.

“Have you finished your meal? Allow me to clean up for you then.”

I finished eating and placed the spoon back on the tray, as soon as I did, the maid immediately came over and started cleaning up everything.

As a maid, she is very disciplined.

“Uhm, excuse me. Where’s Lord Edward? Is he ok?”
