Yuki’s friend is of the same age as her, and they went to the same high school. It was the first time I heard the words “high school,” but for some reason, I could imagine what kind of place it was.

Her friend’s parents were wealthy, and she followed the path that her parents chose for her.

She got married at 16, but it was someone that her parents chose.

She thought that getting married at 16 was a bit too fast, but with the loss of her mother and with her father being ill, she wanted to get married quickly.

But, when her father died, the husband reflected on his marriage with her, and in the end, he ended up divorcing her. She was 17 at the time.

She still attended high school even while married. But with the loss of her parents and marriage, she was at a complete loss as to what to do, the path that was set for her was completely destroyed. Up until then, her entire life was decided by other people, so when for the first time she had to decide what to do with her own life, she was at a complete loss. She had broken down, and it got worse and worse.

“Your friend… She’s kind of similar to me. I did as my parents told me to do and studied to become a noblewoman. I didn’t have any choice outside of being the crown prince’s bride. I also never questioned that path either.”

To be honest, in the same way as her friend, ever since I derailed from that predetermined path, I’ve had no idea what to do. I still don’t know, but I want to do my best to find something I want to do.

The sound of wooden plates scattering around the floor echoed across the room. Of course, it was the sound of the plate that I just dropped.

It’s been 3 months since I have first started living with Yuki.

Although Yuki was hanging the sheets, as soon as she heard some noise, she ran straight towards me. Just like this, she would always run towards me whenever I messed something up. She would always ask me whether I injured myself or if I was ok.

The child growing inside of me has grown significantly since then, sometimes I could feel it kicking. Yuki says that in about 2 more months, it will probably be born. Although my child was growing quickly, I still haven’t figured out what I should be doing with my life.

“Don’t push yourself, Rachel. Just do what you can do, ok? Right now, it’s a very important period for you.”

“Thank you. But I don’t really want to let you do all of the work. You’re not my servant or anything after all.”

“I see. Oh, a message from Makoto. Hold on just a bit…”

It seemed like Yuki received a telepathic communication from Makoto.

Telepathy is pretty convenient when you’re talking to someone far away.

Though it’s impossible unless both parties have some sort of magical power.

Occasionally, just like this, Yuki would talk with Makoto.

I don’t really know what they talk about though.

Even now, Yuki distanced herself a bit just to talk with Makoto.

I heard a loud voice coming from Yuki who was talking with Makoto.
