“Ray?”

I have been completely quiet since then, and the prince was looking at me with a worried expression.

“Are you not happy that you’re having my kid?”

“No, it’s not that, I’m very happy about that. It’s just that… I feel like I just remembered something right now..”

“What did you remember?”

“I wonder if the child inside you has a lot of magical power. It is said that if the child has a lot of magical power, it can have some sort of influence on the mother’s body. We can’t wait a week, let’s live together right now.”

As the prince had said that, he grasped my hands. It was almost as if he was saying that he wouldn’t let me go.

In this country, it is said that a mother was pregnant with a child with high magical abilities, it would affect the mother’s body in some way. Exactly what kind of influence it has on the body isn’t clearly understood, but in general it is said that their senses would be superior to those of regular humans.

It is also said that while the mother is pregnant, they may occasionally see glimpses of the future, or that they may be able to see into other people’s minds and effects like that.

Those are said to be the influence of the magical powers of a child inside a mother’s body, but it is not definite.

The reason is because the number of children born with magical abilities that affected their mother’s body since the birth of this nation can really be counted with just one hand.

“I’ll be fine. After all, there hasn’t been a case where the mother’s body was negatively affected right?”

“There hasn’t. But still, I’m worried. I want to be by your side. Won’t you grace me being by your side?”

“Of course, my prince.”

“Thank you. Well then, let’s go. Until the arrangements for your room has been completed, you will probably stay in my room.”

And so along with the news that I was pregnant, it was also decided that I would be staying in Edward’s royal palace.

Of course, my parents were worried, but since this was a decision made by the crown prince, they weren’t in any position to make any arguments.

At the very least, my mother would come by to the royal palace every day to talk with me.

“It’s fine, after all, my kid is inside of you, we have to take good care of it. Besides, just being able to hold you while I sleep makes me happy.”

It is night time. I fell asleep in the prince’s room while holding him.
