Lately, Lord Edward has been a lot less frequent than before coming back to our room to go to sleep. He said that he’s been very busy with work lately, but I wonder if that’s really the case. Before, he used to show up out of nowhere during breaks.

Is it because Makoto and Yuki are around?

I wonder if everything will go according to those dreams that I have.

“Oh? Aren’t you Kuro?”

As I clouded myself with these thoughts in my room, something unexpectedly rubs against my legs.

I look downwards and see a little black cat snuggling against my legs.

How strange.

It’s a bit unusual for Kuro to come here on its own.

I wonder if something happened.

“Meow”

Kuro cries, and then he immediately jumped on top of the sofa I was sitting in.

“Fufu, you’re so cute.”

Kuro looks at my face and gently “meows,” it then snuggles up against my body. It rubs its head against my chest almost as if it was saying “please pat me.”

I gently pat Kuro’s head.

The soft sensation of its fur feels really nice.

This is truly the best feeling in the world. A cat’s body temperature is just slightly above human temperature, so it feels pretty comforting. Plus, its body is just really nice and tender. Its coat of fur is just so enticing for me to touch. I don’t know why, but it’s just so calming to touch a cat.

It’s almost as if it’s blasting all of the worries that I was having just a few moments ago. Kuro starts rubbing its head against me as I gently pat it. Kuro seemed to be enjoying it too, as it started purring.

“So cute.”

I wish I could just pat this cat forever. Or at least, that’s how this cat makes me feel.

“Thank you for coming over here.”

“Meow.”

As I thanked the little cat, it meows back in response as if to say “you’re welcome.” It’s almost as if it can understand what I’m saying.

Such a smart kitten.

“Ah, so that’s where you were!”

While I was comfortably stroking Kuro’s fur, someone suddenly opened the door. It caught me by surprise, but as I look at the door, it was Yuki who came over here. It seems like she was looking for Kuro who had suddenly disappeared.

“Kuro is such a cute one, don’t you think?”

“Yeah. There are times when it gets on my nerves, but for whatever reason, I end up forgiving it.”

“Really? Kuro gets on your nerves sometimes?”

“Yeah! Like whenever I call for it and it ignores me. Or whenever it steals my snacks. Or whenever it just jumps straight into my stomach whenever I’m sleeping as if it was telling me to wake up.

“Oh my, fufufu.”

Yuki, while exasperated, started telling me about all the troubles she had with Kuro. But Kuro just starts grooming itself without a care in the world.

Living with a cat seems pretty fun. She’s complaining quite a bit about Kuro, but I could see in her eyes that she holds a large affection towards it.

“Hey, Yuki. Lately, Lord Edward hasn’t been around much. Sometimes I don’t even see him.”
