Lord Edward came to my room with his usual smile. It’s a gentle smile that would make anyone feel at ease.

“Lord Edward, I’m fine.”

“I see, I’m glad.”

Lord Edward gently smiles as he brushes through my long hair with his hands. Even though he has the same gentle smile as he usually does, I still can’t help but have some doubts. Lord Edward looks at me with a bit of worry, I wonder if he noticed that I stiffened up a bit.

I slowly shook my head as if to say “It’s nothing.”

“Well then, Ms. Rachel. I will be excusing myself.”

Makoto announces, seeing as Lord Edward was in the room.

Lord Edward says while smiling. I wonder what they were talking about. I’m sure it was all focused on what Yuki was blurting out earlier.

Compared to just earlier, the expression on Makoto’s face seemed a bit stiff.

Lord Edward lays me on the bed with his hands, and he gently caresses my head. Before I knew it, I fell asleep to the pleasant feelings of his hands brushing against my head.
