Chapter - 18
His Symphony
"Lorenzo."
She says her voice filled with apprehension.
Yes sweetheart
I reply as my hand caresses her cheek. IÂ move back the stray hair from her cheek and tucks them behind her ear.
All of a sudden,I am tackled into a hug as kuhu tightly wraps her arms around me and buries her face into my chest. I am astonished at her actions but a weird feeling engulfs my heart. I have never felt this good. My heart feels warm like it's brimming with a type of joy I never experienced before.
She mumbles something against my chest. Due to her being drunk her words are turning gibberish.
I wind my arms around her and rest my chin on top of her head basking myself in her.
She lifts her heads up and looks at me. There is a frown on her face which confuses me. I thought she was happy.
"What happened sweetheart?"
I ask her
"You left me."
She slurs her tone having a tinge of anger.
"I am sorry darling. I never intended to do that but the situation was such I had to leave."
I explain to her knowing damn well she is too drnuk to process it but the guilt of leaving her stranded for a week had me so desperate that I want her to know at this very moment that I will not leave her and will neither let her go.
"But I am angry."
She says and retracts her hands back.
"What can I do for you to accept my apology?"
I ask her genuinely.
"First you have to dance with me."
She says and grabs my hand as if waiting for the right opportunity to put forth thus demand.
She sways lightly along the music which is no longer rock or hip hop but a gentle love song playing.
I grab her by her waist and pull her closer. I settle her hands in between mine and tell her
"Your wish is my command sweetheart."
We both sway lightly to the rhythm of the music, her lost in the song and me lost in her.
................
"Ugh my feet are killing me."
Kuhu whines sitting besides me in the backseat of my car.
After dancing for an hour she decided that she was tired and we should head back. As she said her bed is calling her.
So right now we both are on our way back to my mansion that I own here.
"Let me press them for you."
I bend lightly and grab both her feet. I put them in my lap.
I take off her heels and keep them down and start lightly massaging her feet.
A moan of satisfaction leaves her mouth as she tips her head back against the window.
That voice went straight to my dick.
I don't know what is it about her that the most mundane actions turn so sensual.
Letting go off my wayward thoughts I turn my attention back to her feet and focus on massaging them.
"You are so good to me I wish you were my boyfriend."
Kuhu says
No doubt she drunk otherwise she would have never said those words.
I like this inebriated kuhu.
When she is not drunk she is thinking too much and too logically. I have no doubt she plays every conversation before in her head and then enunciates anything.
"Sweetheart all you need to do is say and I'll be your fucking husband if you want me to."
I tell her my mind having no uncertainty that I will marry her in a heartbeat if she asked me to.
"Really?"
She gasps shocked at my declaration.
"Yes sweetheart I will do that all you got to do is just say."
I chuckle at her astonished expression.
Does this woman not know how obsessed I am about her?
She just turns her head sideways avoiding my gaze and looks out of the window.
But I saw that little smile on her face.
We sit in a silence for a few minutes with me pressing her feet hoping to get rid of that ache while she is still staring out of the window.
"Stop the car, stop the car, stop, stop."
Kuhu says
I yank her towards me with one hand and my other hand going towrads my gun tucked in my pocket. The driver applies the brakes and the car comes to an abrupt halt.
"What happened?"
I ask her
"Nothing I just wanted to see the beach."
She says timidly while pointing out of the window.
"Oh!"
I relax.
"Can I see the beach?"
She asks again.
I look at her seeing her fine, then I tuck the gun back in my pocket and tell her.
"Yes you can darling."
She immediately opens the door and runs off. Walking down on the sand towards ocean. I immediately get out of the car amd follow her.
She is really ecstatic. Her smile the brightest against the inky night. She moves towards the ocean when waves go away and as they come crashing on the shore she runs away, playing a game with the ocean.
I stand across her and watch her enjoy. She sometimes motion me to come but I just deny her and tell her to enjoy.
She turns her head back and looks at the sky gazing at the moons and stars scattered around.
A few moments passes and she still has her head tipped back I start to worry and move towrads her but she starts humming. Her magical voice filling the silence the ocean entails.
Jab koi baat bigad jaye
Whenever something goes wrong
Jab koi mushkil pad jaye
Whenever there's a problem
Tum dena saath mera, o humnava
Stand by my side, my beloved
Jab koi baat bigad jaye
Whenever something goes wrong
Jab koi mushkil pad jaye
Whenever there's a problem
Tum dena saath mera, o humnava Stand by my side, my beloved
Na koi hai na koi tha
There's no one and there was no one
Zindagi mein tumhare sivah
In my life other than you
Tum dena saath mera, o humnava Stand by my side, my beloved
Tum dena saath mera, o humnava Stand by my side, my beloved
Ho chandni jab tak raat deta hai har koi saath
Everyone stands by your side till there's a moonlit night
Tum magar andhero mein na chhodna mera haath
But please you don't leave my hand even in the darkness
Wafadari ki woh rasmein nibhayenge hum tum kasmein
We both will fulfill the promises and customs of faithfulness
Ek bhi saans zindagi ki jab tak ho apne bas mein
Until the breaths of our life are in our control
Dil ko mere hua yakeen hum pehle bhi mile kahin
My heart is confident that we've met somewhere in the past
Silsila yeh sadiyon ka koi aaj ki baat nahi
This is a story of ages and not something that was crafted today
Jab koi baat bigad jaye
Whenever something goes wrong
Jab koi mushkil pad jaye
Whenever there's a problem
Tum dena saath mera, o humnava
Stand by my side, my beloved
I don't understand what she is singing or what is she even saying but I can feel the pain and longing in her song, yet there is a glimmer of hope in all this gloominess that is what her songs conveys to me.
It's weird how you don't sometimes know what the other person is saying even when they speak the same language as you but here I am understanding and feeling the pain of a song I don't understand.
She is slowly reaching back towards me, unbothered as if she didn't just put me in a spell few minutes ago.
As she approaches me she says
"Take me home lorenzo."
