How My Ex Became My Next by Kirk Stanley ( Gilda Lynch )
Chapter
Dillan wasnât as flippant as before. He smiled gently and said, âLooks like you donât need a handkerchief.â
Gilda said with serious look, âOf course. Iâm not cryingâ
âI thought youâd cry like last time. I even prepared two pieces. Dillan took out another handkerchief with a smile. âIâm really thoughtful, arenât I?â
Gilda remembered that night when she cried in front of her âenemyâ on the rooftop in Geleston. She rarely looked embarrassed. âI didnât. You remember it wrong.â
Dillan did not argue with Gilda but just nodded. âIf say .â
Dillan looked at Gildaâs unhappy face and thought that Gilda cried last time must be because of Jensenâ¦
âDo you want me to beat him?â When Dillan asked Gilda this question, his eyes were full of seriousness. He did some punches and said, âIâm at your service.â
âJensen is your friend. Itâs already rare if you donât take his side.â Gilda shrugged as if she didnât believe his
words.
Dillan patted his chest so hard that he made himself cough. âNo way. Iâm an envoy of justice. I wonât be biased toward him just because heâs my friend.â
Dillan looked at Gilda with a smile, like a knight fighting for the Queen.
Gildaâs beauty was sharp, and Dillan was willing to submit.
Dillanâs serious look was so funny that Gilda couldnât help laughing. âNonsense!â
âAs long as youâre willing to hear it.â
Dillan stepped forward and stood beside Gilda.
âSo glib,â Gilda continued to comment on Dillan, but this time there was smile on her face.
thought, âThis guy takes my side today. Heâs much better than Jensen that idiot.â
Then Gilda looked up at Dillanâs charming eyes and found that he seemed to be⦠less annoying.
âSeriously, can you forget the things about me offending you before?â When Dillan asked Gilda, he was little nervous and even straightened up his body.
âI was too superficial before. Iâll be different afterward!â
Dillan didnât know that he had hurt such a good girl unintentionally. People had to pay for their own. mistakes. He was an honest man and also a person who would admit his mistakes. He wouldnât be as stubborn as Jensen.

âIâve forgotten those long ago. Just stop following me around and expressing your feelings all the time, Gilda fixed her hair, which was blown by the night breeze, and said casually.
âNo way!â Dillan was stubborn. âI will never give up pursuing you!â
âSo annoying.â Gilda turned around to leave and waved to her back. âThanks.â
âCall me if Jensen makes trouble for you again. Remember⦠Dillan shouted behind Gilda.
âSo nagging.â
Gilda called the chauffeur to pick her up and then went back to the Lynch residence.
Before Gilda went to bed, Vicky called her.
âWhy did you leave first? Megan was asking about you.â
Those people of the Harrington family came to me again. I didnât bother talking to them so I left first,â
said casually.
âIâve security guards to put the Tears of the Sea in the safe.â
âOh, alright.â Gilda had completely forgotten about it.
Forgetting about a necklace that was worth 200 million dollars. Vicky shook her head on the other end of the phone and thought, The daughter of the Lynch family is wealthy indeed.
âBy the way, Iâm going to Frencia. Do you want me to deliver a message to Braydon for you?â Gilda teased Vicky again.
âTsk. See you.â
Hearing that Vicky hung up the phone, Gilda covered her mouth and laughed. She thought, I must bring Braydon back to Allath this time. The two of them have to make some progress.
The next day, Gilda flew to Frencia.
time, she went straight to Helenâs villa.
âGilly! I miss you so much!â As soon as Helen saw Gilda, Helen hurriedly pulled Gilda into the living room.
âI miss you, too.â Gilda also held Helenâs hand and put her chin on Helenâs shoulder: âAunt Helen, I miss your cooking
âNo problem, Gilly. Iâll cook for you away.â Helen turned to watch Gild
acting cute on her shoulder and felt happier. Then she pretended to be angry. âWhy didnât you come to visit me earlier if you missed
me?â
