Chapter 60
Jensen kept silent for a long time before he said, âWhat do you think?â
âShe?â Dillan pointed at and then Jensen. âYou?â Dillan murmured.
Finally, he pointed at himself. âTâ¦
Dillan continued in frustration âWhat the heck?â
Dillan couldnât accept the truth. He needed time to process the information.
Kylan touched his nose and leaned close to Dillan, who was completely confused. âDude, how could you covet your friendâs exâwife? Youâve gone too far,â said Kylan.
Suddenly, Dillan got angry and said, âThey are divorced. They have nothing to do with each other now!â
Dillan then pushed Jensen gently and said honestly, âI didnât know she exâwife when I met â
Gilda walked past Jensen calmly and then heard Jensenâs cold voice from behind, âWonât you explain it me?â
âWhy should I? Who do you think you are?â Gilda sneered and then left.
âDonât go! How can you just leave the three of us here?â Dillan shouted at Gildaâs back.
Jensen left with a gloomy face, and Kylan chased after him.
On the way back, Dillan was at a loss and didnât sleep all night.
The next morning, Dillan broke into Gildaâs office in spite of the stop of her secretary.
Cilda didnât even bother to raise her eyes and said indifferently, âWhy are you here? Didnât your friends condemn you
âIâve thought about it all night, but I still canât give up on you.â Dillan stood upright and said seriously, And⦠Now I am more certain about my feelings for you!â
Gilda rolled her eyes and asked, âThatâs it?â
Wasnât Dillan supposed to be a superficial person?
âYour previous marriage has long been over. Everyone has their moments of trouble. It was Jensen who didnât cherish you and it was right for you to dump him.â Dillan was worried that Gilda would interrupt him, so he finished his words in one .
âIâm not interested in you,â Gilda said. She had long been waiting for Dillan to retreat from difficulties, but she didnât expect that he would become more determined.

Dillan didnât give up. âDonât be so hasty to refuse me! Youâre single, and Iâm single. Althoughâ¦
Gilda chuckled and glanced at the tablet in her hand, asking. âAlthough what?â
âWell, itâs a long story. Dillan sat on the chair in distress. âSince weâre talking about this, I wonât hide my identity.
Iâm the CEO of Miller Corporation. I came to Glory Corporation only to pursue you, Dillan confessed.
Gilda nodded and , âI know.â
Dillan shocked for a few seconds. Yet on second thought, he believed that Gilda must have investigated him before he joined the company since she was such a clever person.
âThen do you know I have an engagement that I canât get rid of? Iâve tried every way, but I failed, Dillan asked.
Gilda nodded again and said, âIâve heard about it.â
Dillan looked distressed and said, âWell, your bossâs sister is my fiancée. She has the same name as you.â
âDo we? Then why donât you suspect that I am her? Gilda asked slowly.
âYou canât be her. I bet that she is an ugly woman with acne all over her face. Youâre as beautiful as a fairy, but sheâs as hideous as a ghost,â Dillan said.
Gilda narrowed her eyes and gritted her teeth, saying word by word, âReally? What are you going to do
then
âDonât worry!â Suddenly, Dillan propped his hands against the desk, leaned over to Gilda, and said sincerely, âI wonât marry that Ms. Lynch wait for me. I will talk with the Lynch family about breaking off the engagement right now. I wonât waste our time.â
Gilda held back the urge laugh and suddenly smiled, asking, âArenât you afraid that Ms. Lynch will get even with you for this?â
âWhy should I be afraid of that ugly woman?â Dillan said.
At this time, Dillanâs phone rang. Seeing that it was his father, Dillan wondered why Carl called him now. It was critical moment to show his sincerity to Gilda.
Dillan answered the phone impatiently, âDad, whatâs up?â
âYou brat! Do you know what youâre ? You are pissing me off!â Carl shouted on the other end of the phone.
âDad, how do you know I was talking?â Dillan put the phone away from his ear, but he felt that he had. heard an echo and felt strange.
At this time, Gilda turned the tablet screen over and motioned Dillan to look at it.
