Jensen watched them the entire time, and he didnât come back to his senses even after they disappeared from his sight.
His phone rang again. Carol was a little angry. âJensen, where have you been? Ms. Dowall waited for you for a long time but didnât see . Do you knowâ¦â
Jensen hung up, turned off his phone, and threw it out of the window. Then he started the car and drove away.

hat brings you
He hastily bit back his words and stepped forward to ask, âDude, here today â
Jensen hadnât been to the club for a long time. After divorcing Gilda, he was a completely different person.
Jensen didnât say anything. He sat down on the sofa, poured glass of wine, and finished it in one gulp.
Kylan felt that he was in a bad mood and hurriedly asked the others to leave. After everyone left, Kylan joked, âLet me guess. Your bad mood may have something to do with your exâwife once again?â
Jensen said coldly, âIs it so obvious?â
Kylan shook his head. âI think you are in hopeless love with her. But she is determined not to get back together with you. Can you stop torturing yourself like this?â
Kylanâs words reminded Jensen of scene he saw outside the restaurant. He had seen Gildaâs gaze towards Jackson which was familiar yet strange.
âDo you think I can get back together with her?â
Kylan said mercilessly, âNo.â
After making that statement, he realized it might be a bit cruel to Jensen. He then changed his tone and said, âIt may not impossible.â
Jensenâs eyes lit up. âReally? Why do you say so?â
Kylan coughed slightly. He was just saying it, but Jensen took his words so seriously. But as a good friend, he naturally hoped that Jensen could be happy.
âHave you forgotten how Gilda came to you and asked you to marry her?â
Jensen naturally hadnât forgotten about it, but he always thought that Gilda was approaching him with a purpose.

âIâd like to remind you that I think Gilda used to love you. But you let your prejudice blind you and didnât notice this pushed her away.â
Jensen asked uncertainly, âAre you telling the truth?
Kylan nodded. He continued. âOf course. Why else would a woman marry you? If not out of love, then out of what?â
Jensen was dumbfounded.
Gilda loved him?
This possibility had never occurred to him before
