Chapter 606

It'll be terrible if the Jadesons are the ones who abducted Frieda.

If they find out that Frieda, who's supposed to have been executed, is still alive, the consequences

will be dire.

Not to mention Sebastian will also be dragged into this quagmire once the Jadesons discover that

Frieda’s child is alive and well,

Sasha had a distressed look on her face.

She didn't think that the Jadesons would be so bold as to abduct Frieda right under her nose.

“Do you know where they took her?” Sasha reluctantly queried.

Yancy let out a chuckle before responding, “Sasha, who do you think I am? How would I know where

she’s been taken to?"

“That being said, if you really want to know her whereabouts, I can help you locate her. Hell, I can

even help you rescue her if you want me to.”

“Really?”

Sasha was enraptured after hearing Yancy's statement. She completely forgot what kind of person

Yancy really was.

“Yeah! Just give me about half an hour. I'll get it done,” Yancy avidly replied before hanging up the

phone.

Overjoyed, Sasha was holding onto her phone tightly for quite a while.

Is she really going to help me?

I'm sure she is.

In a quandary, Sasha had no choice but to trust Yancy's words.

I absolutely need her help if the Jadesons are really the ones behind this.

I'll just need to wait here for half an hour. Even if she’s lying to me, I wouldn't lose much time

anyway.

Sasha decided to trust Yancy and wait for her.

As she was waiting for Yancy, Sasha prepared dinner for the children.

Meanwhile, there still wasn't any news from Sebastian.

"Sasha, have you heard from Sebastian yet?" asked Rufus, as soon as he got home.

Sasha shook her head. “No, not yet. You? Did you find him?”

"No."

Drenched in sweat, Rufus’ face seemed even more distressed. His face was starting to turn pale.

Frieda’s disappearance was actually Rufus fault. If he had been more cautious and aware, he

would've noticed the malicious intent of the young man who was talking to them.

Because of that, Rufus was fraught with guilt.

"Sasha, do you think Sebastian will blame me for what happened to Frieda?”

“No, he won't.”

Sasha was quick to give an answer.

After hearing her response, the vise that had been gripping Rufus’ chest finally loosened a little. He

then continued to search for Sebastian.

Half an hour later, Yancy finally called back.

“Sasha, the past thirty minutes must've felt like a decade for you huh? Well, I've got some news for

you. The Jadesons are indeed the people who abducted Frieda.”

Sasha's face suddenly turned despondent.

"And?"

"Oh, there are two more things that you should know about.”

"Go on.”

“I'll start with the bad news first. If Frieda is already in Jadeborough, there won't be any chance of

saving her. But the good news is, I have successfully located her whereabouts. If you want to rescue

her now, we might still be able to pull it off,” explained Yancy.

Sasha's eyes lit up after hearing Yancy's words. “Then where is she? When are you going to rescue

her?”

“Sasha, rescuing her from the Jadesons will be a perilous task. If you want me to undertake such a

risk, what will I get out of it?"

“What?”

Sasha didn't quite understand what Yancy was getting at.

After letting out a sigh, Yancy added on, “How about this, Sasha? I'll help you rescue Freida if you

help me revoke the lawsuit against Sinch Enterprise.”

She has finally revealed her true motive!

Sasha was taciturn and pensive. She grabbed tightly onto the phone and tried her best to remain

composed.

What did I expect? She's a cunning woman after all.

She'd never help someone purely out of goodwill.

Sasha feigned a smile and replied, “So, this is what you're really after huh?”

Yancy had a sullen look on her face.

“This is called helping each other out, Sasha. I genuinely want to help you but I'm also in quite a

situation myself. After the Hayes filed a lawsuit against Sinch Enterprise, my son is to be

incarcerated in addition to getting fined. This is ridiculous! You didn't tell me something like this

would happen back when I asked you to investigate this matter.”

Yancy was getting riled up. She was blaming Sasha for deceiving her.

After hearing Yancy's words, Sasha was stupefied in place.
