They came back to the temple. When Sasha and Shin heard about the whole story, they were

gripped by shock, and they couldn't even say a word.

They called Devin and Jonathan. The moment they got the news, they came here at full speed and

took Duncan away with them.

lan was quiet the whole way through. After Duncan was taken away, he turned around and went to

his room.

Vivian asked, “Is lan all right? Mommy, he must have been hurt badly. We have to try and cheer him

up.”

Vivian was worried about her brother, and Sasha was worried about her son too.

Nobody knew lan better than she did. She could tell that he had changed a lot over the last three

years, and she was delighted. But now, he's betrayed by his own friend.

She came to his room a moment later. “Are you all right, Little lan?”

“I'm all right, Mommy.” lan was sitting in his chair, staring outside the window. He looked

depressed, but the moment he saw his mother, he cheered himself up and said he was fine.

Sasha was heartbroken seeing her son like that. She came in and took a chair, then she sat down

beside him.

She started talking to him gently, “Don't feel sad about it, Little lan. Duncan didn't betray you. He

just didn't have a choice. In the end, he told you the real reason your father fell sick, and he even

found the black stone for us.”

She had learned psychology before to treat Sebastian's illness, so she knew exactly why her son was

sad. He couldn't accept the fact that his longtime friend would betray his trust and their friendship.

That kind of impact was devastating, and not to mention it was hard for someone like lan to open

himself up to someone.

The moment she finished talking, lan, who had been acting tough, finally started to tear up.

"Mommy..."

"Don't feel sad, Little lan. You have an eye for people. Duncan is a good child, but he was forced into

this position. He didn't hurt you or Vivi, right?”

“Yeah.” lan's eyes shone brightly, much to Sasha's delight.

She quickly continued, “Once your uncle and great-grandpa get to the bottom of this, he'll be fine if

they know he didn't hurt you. Maybe they'll keep him, and he can stay with you then.”

Sasha was painting a beautiful future for her son. She thought of the same thing as well too.

Duncan was only sixteen, and he was willing to reveal the real reason for Sebastian's disease and

find the key to his treatment. Because of that alone, Sasha knew he wasn't an evil person.

He could be saved, and the Jadesons weren't vengeful. Even though Duncan was Eddie's son, they

would give him a second chance if he truly repented.

lan finally cheered up after hearing his mother's words. Vivian and Kurt heaved a sigh of relief after

seeing him get over his depression.

The youngsters went back to Oceanic Estate to wait for the news that very day. Matteo, who was still

in the military, quickly came back after he heard the news so that he could keep his brother

company.

However, after three days of waiting, they found out that Duncan was to be executed, but he would

be on probation for two years before he was executed. They decided to dole out the punishment

once Duncan was of age.

Vivian and Matteo were the first to get the news. They were shocked, but they didn't tell lan about

the news yet. They first came to see their great-grandfather.

"Why, Great-grandpa? Is he really that evil?”

"Yes. He sent a lot of information to Eddie's remaining followers, especially after I sent him to the

military base.” Jonathan's face was filled with rage when he talked about that.

Vivian and Matteo blanched right away, and they didn't talk after that. All they could think about

was lan, who had been waiting in his room for three days.

If that was truly the case, then lan would need to bear the responsibilities too. The whole reason

Duncan managed to get into the military base was that he cracked the formula lan gave him. It was

Two days after the verdict was announced, the officers in the prison said Duncan had died. They said
