Chapter 742
Meet My Brothers
Several guests with close ties with the Barretts had encountered Mia Bowen before. They were taken
aback by the uncanny resemblance between the two women, their surprise registering visibly.
Mia smiled. âI know Mr. Barrettâs exâwife looks a lot like me. They say that pretty ladies often resemble
each other. Donât you think so?â
Nikkiâs expression hinted at her alarm as she inquired, âMrs. Barrett, who, is this?â
Sharon offered an indifferent introduction. âSheâs Shellyâs friend.â
Shelly quickly interjected, âThatâs not right, Aunt Sharon. Monalize is Timâs girlfriend.â
âWhat are you talking about, Shelly? Since when has Tim had a girlfriend? not aware of that, and I
certainly donât approve of her either,â Sharon firmly declared.
Nikki and her mother visibly relaxed upon hearing Sharonâs stance.
After all, a woman couldnât enter a wealthy family without proper acknowledgment by the family.
Shelly persisted, âWeâll find out once Tim arrives.â
Ignoring Shellyâs comment, Sharon redirected the conversation. âLetâs not pay attention to childish talk.
How about a stroll in the garden? Itâs
beautiful out there.â
Amelia Mapp agreed, âIâve heard that the private resort has tailored its services for you, Mrs. Barrett.
Weâre envious. Itâs a service exclusive to your family!â
Sharon grinned proudly. âItâs thanks to my son that we get to experience this. Their service is indeed
topânotch, not only in design but also in food.
The ingredients were freshly flown in this morning. You should consider hosting an event here in the
future.â
The group of people strolled around. Meanwhile, the other guests couldnât stop showering praises on
the private resort.
Mia, trailing behind them, felt elated hearing the positive feedback. âItâs not too shabby,â she remarked
with a chuckle. The swelling pride within her was unmistakable.
Nikki suddenly turned her head to look at Mia. âMs. Monalize, is that your comment on the design? Not
too shabby? You sure have high standards.â
All eyes immediately shifted to Mia.
Sharon scowled. âSince itâs not up to your standard, feel free to leave whenever you please.â
Mia calmly replied, âSorry, I didnât mean it that way.â
âYou better not have,â Sharon retorted before leading the guests onward. â
dow me, everyone. Behold, a sea of blue roses. Itâs said to cost millions to cultivate them. We may
encounter blue beauties elsewhere, but genuine blue roses are a rarity.â
The guests eagerly began taking pictures of the blue roses.
Proudly, Sharon said, âYou can buy the seeds and plant blue roses at home yourselves, but thereâs no
guarantee they will thrive.â
Nikki interjected, âIt is not easy to grow blue roses, hence its rarity. It requires precise temperature
control at 77°F during cultivation, and once they bloom, they can only be exposed to sunlight for eight
hours. Anything lesser or more than that is unacceptable.â
Impressed, Sharon nodded. âYou know that too? Iâm impressed.â
Nikki beamed but remained humble. âItâs just a hobby of mine. I dabble in flower arranging and cooking,
so Iâve picked up a few things.â
Mia couldnât resist interjecting, âShe got it wrong.â
