Chapter 94

A Lucrative Proposition 🌶🌶🌶

The Twin Dragons Series: Requiem City

MADDIE

“Pop another bottle!” Darshan shouted.

The battle had only been over for a day, but I couldn’t wait to celebrate with my friends.

So, I didn’t.

I texted Thea, Darshan, and Harry, and within half an hour, they arrived with food and drink.

Now, it was time to ~party~.

Another cork popped, and the champagne overflowed onto the floor.

Loch and Hael would probably be annoyed that the floors and counters of their luxurious penthouse were sticky.

But it was for a damn good reason.

We’d faced Xander’s army head-on and lived to celebrate his death.

I paused while pouring a glass, remembering that despite sharing his DNA, he was never truly a father to me.

I swallowed the champagne like it was out of a shot glass.

~Fuck being sad.~

The son of a bitch had abandoned me, and now I was living like royalty.

Loch’s body pressed against my back, the contour of his ripped muscles teasing me.

“Don’t drink too much, mouse,” he said. “We’ve got plenty to celebrate. And I want you sober enough to remember all of it.”

I turned around to face my mate and felt Hael’s presence close in. They’d cornered me, not wanting me to escape.

And it made my skin flush with heat.

I didn’t want to escape.

I wanted them to suffocate me with their kisses and shower me in their…

“Get a room,” Thea said, then shrugged. “Or don’t. Just make sure you take care of our girl.”

Loch and Hael smiled simultaneously.

“Oh, don’t you worry about her,” Hael replied. “When we’re through, she’s going to feel like a princess.”

“Queen,” I corrected. “I’m a queen. And don’t you forget it.”

Loch and Hael moved to the couch, but their eyes were locked onto me. Soon, I would have to take them up on their offer…

I poured another glass of champagne as Adara and Darren entered the living room.

They looked as if they’d just finished another session, and I couldn’t help but notice that Darren was just as gaunt as usual. But he still had a smile plastered across his face.

Darren seemed ~happy~. And I knew that was something that didn’t always come easily.

Especially when living with dragons…

I looked around the room at the happy faces and realized someone was missing.

Harry wrapped his arm around my shoulders and held up his glass of vodka tonic.

“To the craziest damn person I’ve ever known,” he said as our glasses clinked together. “Remind me to never get on your bad side.”

Harry laughed, but his words took me back to the last time I saw Zayda. She’d descended into the underbelly of what used to be Xander U.

I couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt.

Here we were celebrating, and she was stuck with a robot in the cold depths of the laboratory that had reanimated him.

“It’s too bad we all couldn’t be here,” I said sadly.

Harry looked at me with hazy eyes.

“What do you mean?” he asked. “We’re all accounted for…”

Harry tried to count the number of people in the room, but quickly gave up.

“No, we’re not,” I reminded him. “Zayda isn’t here.”

Harry looked at me with sadness in his eyes.

“Shit.”

Yeah. Shit was right.

“There’s been bad blood between us, but it just doesn’t feel right that she’s not here to celebrate.”

Harry nodded in agreement.

“She made her choice,” he said.

I didn’t respond, but Harry’s words echoed in my head.

Zayda ~had~ made her choice. And it wasn’t exactly like she’d been fighting against Xander…

At least, not until Xythor came into the equation.

Puffs of smoke materialized around me. Loch and Hael were suddenly at my side, their hands on my body.

I could see it in their eyes. They were done with the party.

It had been a long day. They were ready for some alone time…

***

The city sprawled out before us, neon lights blazing a trail that stretched well into the horizon.

Loch and Hael were sitting on the couch in the living room, looking as if they could fall asleep at any moment.

The curse was still intact, which was a fucking bummer. But something felt different…

Xander’s death had brought the first aftershocks of change. In time, the university would be an empty lot, and the dragons would roam free.

Which reminded me…

“If this curse is ever broken, will you take me somewhere?”

Loch and Hael looked at one another, surprised by my question.

“I suppose that’s a possibility,” Hael replied.

“Where do you want to go?” Loch asked.

“Anywhere!” I shouted. “As long as the two of you are with me.”

My answer was so cheesy I wanted to roll my eyes at myself, but it was true. I didn’t care where we went, as long as we were together.

Loch and Hael shared another look, and I could tell they were having a ~silent~ conversation.

“If you’re so interested in exploring, we can show you around,” Loch said.

“Really!?”

“Of course,” Hael replied. “We’ve had enough fire and blood. Tomorrow, we’ll take you somewhere special.”

SUMMER

The Dusk Mountains were popping.

Music played from speakers as beer and wine flowed freely.

Dane and Aneurin’s encampment was celebrating the victory, and I hadn’t seen the horde this happy ~ever~.

Of course, I was still new to all of this. But it felt like we had just ended some eternal conflict of epic proportions.

Oh, right… We had!

Dane swept me up in his arms and kissed me hard, taking my breath away.

Aneurin wasn’t to be outdone, stealing me from Dane and kissing me even harder!

“Okay, okay!” I said, laughing. “You’re going to suffocate me before we can properly celebrate.”

My mates shared a look, and I knew what it meant. They were more than ready to leave behind the festivities and take me to the cave…

“I see that you already beat us to it,” Storm’s voice called out.

He and Silver appeared at the edge of the light created by the bonfire. Behind them they pulled a sizable wooden cart that was overflowing with food and drink.

It looked as if they’d raided a market and left with the entire stock…

Aneurin set me down, and I ran to Silver, throwing my arms around her.

“There’s no such thing as too much fun,” Dane said to Storm. “Add that feast to the rest of it, and it’ll be gone by morning.”

I watched Storm embrace my mates as Silver plucked a lock of hair from my face and slid it behind my ear.

“How do you feel?” she asked.

I looked around at all the people lost in celebration and couldn’t quite find the words.

It was overwhelming. I’d only been mated to Dane and Aneurin for a few weeks and yet…

They were my entire world.

Before the battle began, as the dragons took the sky, I’d thought of the worst possible outcome.

Now, it felt like nothing else mattered. We were here, and we were alive. Even the worst wounds hadn’t taken long to heal.

“I’m just glad it’s over,” I admitted. “And that we’re on the winning side.”

Silver smiled and nodded in agreement.

“Isn’t it wonderful?” she said. “Look at all these ~happy~ dragons.”

She was right. I’d never seen so many dragons from different hordes get along so well.

The Dusk and Requiem hordes had been through hell. But with their victory, it showed that working together could yield amazing results.

Even though the curse was still holding on by a sliver, it didn’t dampen our spirits at all.

Soon we would break the curse. And then the party would be worldwide… Every dragon at the encampment would be celebrating well into the next day.

But there were still some dragons missing from the party.

Where were ~Loch and Hael~?

MADDIE

“I hope this is worth it,” I said, tugging at the blindfold around my eyes.

“Don’t take it off!” Hael growled.

My mates promised to show me something special. But after they’d forced me to wear a blindfold, I’d started to get worried.

My skin flushed as I thought about our session from earlier in the day. Was it possible they had more kinky fun in mind?

“Alright,” Loch said. “We’re here.”

The blindfold fell away from my eyes, and I squinted into the bright orange and purple sunset.

Req Tower stood in the distance, towering over the rest of the city.

I could make out landmarks that placed me somewhere south of the Skeleton Quarter.

We stood on the tallest building in an older part of the city. I walked to the edge and looked over, amazed at the sight below me.

The neighborhood was filled with buildings awash in old stone and brick.

Old, charming town houses were nestled between brownstones with tall windows and elaborate designs. Their arches and trim were adorned with highlights of gold that gave them a regal look.

The atmosphere, though bleak and deserted now, hearkened back to the time of the roaring twenties.

“What do you think?” Hael asked. I could see a glint of expectation in his dark eyes, and it piqued my interest.

“I thought you brought me here to dump my body,” I said dryly.

My mates chuckled, and it made me feel a bit self-conscious. They moved closer, and Loch placed his hand on my shoulder, easing the tension.

“We were looking to invest,” he said coolly.

Suddenly, I saw the neighborhood through a different lens.

Sure, some of the factories were still crumbling, and every other window was boarded over.

Yellow police tape still blocked off the stoop of a condemned building, warning of a past crime too horrible to forget.

It definitely wasn’t the lavish view I’d come to expect from Loch and Hael. But I could see the potential my mates were so excited about.

If we could fix up these buildings and restore them to their prior glamour, it could be a massive boon for their business in addition to restoring the pride of this city.

“I think with a little work, this could be a great neighborhood,” I admitted. “And I think you two are just the men to do it.”

Loch and Hael smiled as they closed in on me. I felt the energy between us hum as their clothes disappeared in a puff of smoke.

“Is this what you ~really~ wanted to show me?” I smirked devilishly.

Their hands were on my skin, searching the curves of my hips and rubbing my breasts.

It was a warm evening, but their touch made my skin feel like it was on fire.

I lifted up my shirt and felt Loch unsnap my bra.

Within seconds the three of us were naked. Hael picked me up in his arms and carried me to scaffolding that had long been abandoned.

“Don’t look down,” he teased.

But I couldn’t help it. I looked through the metal grate and nearly lost my dinner.

I closed my eyes tightly and felt Loch’s lips on mine.

“Don’t be afraid, mouse,” he said. “We won’t let you fall too far.”

Hael lay down on the scaffolding and pulled me on top of him, my ass pushed close to his face.

My pussy rested over his mouth as he lapped at my already flowing juices. Loch stroked his cock as I moaned and watched him.

His tip glistened, and I knew he was ready to feel the warmth of my mouth.

The wind roared around us as I took all of him in my mouth, savoring the salty pre-cum.

I stroked his shaft with my hand as I sucked on his engorged head. Loch’s hand rested on my head, urging me to keep going.

I tried to fulfill his desire, but I felt a rush of ecstasy filling my body. Hael was about to make me cum with his tongue, and there was no way I could stop it.

“Not so fast,” Hael muttered.

He pushed me off his face and gave each cheek a kiss.

“You cum when we tell you to,” Loch said.

My body quivered in anticipation of an orgasm, but it would have to wait.

I continued to work on Loch’s cock as Hael slid inside me. My body jerked with a rush of pain that was quickly followed by complete euphoria.

Hael grabbed my hips and helped me work back and forth. I moaned and drooled with a mouthful of Loch.

We hadn’t been able to have sex since before the battle, and I could tell it was too long for their liking.

Hael’s breathing quickened as I felt him release his seed inside me.

Loch pulled his dick from my mouth and turned me over onto my knees. Hael was still beneath me, catching his breath after his massive orgasm.

He sucked on my nipples as Loch entered me from behind.

I moaned loudly and looked out at the skyline around me. The colors of the sky were brilliant and beautiful with the sun setting behind the horizon.

Lights flickered on the quiet street below us, ready to provide illumination in the sun’s absence.

The old neighborhood was coming to life, and it was all I could focus on to keep from cumming.

But it wasn’t enough.

“God, I’m going to cum!” I warned.

Hael placed his hand on my throat and clamped lightly. I could still breathe, but it was harder to inhale.

“What did we tell you, rat?” he sneered.

I could tell he was annoyed, but I didn’t care. Loch’s dick was causing a seismic wave of ecstasy inside me, and I couldn’t hold it back any longer.

Loch’s hands dug into my hips.

“Fuck!” he groaned as he came hard.

My body trembled with an extended orgasm as Loch remained inside me.

Finally, he pulled free, and Hael released my throat, allowing me to gasp for breath.

Stars danced on the edges of my vision. Hael wrapped me in an embrace and held me tight as Loch lay beside us.

The cool evening air refreshed our bodies, and the scaffolding afforded us impressive views of the city.

“I love this place,” I said, amazed by the view.

“We’re glad,” Hael replied. “Because we were thinking of creating a new Club Emerald, right here in the heart of Old Town.”

A new club! That was a fantastic idea.

But as I looked at the buildings below, another idea came to mind.

With enough polish and love, this place could be something special…

“What if we don’t just build a club?” I suggested. “What if we build something much more lucrative?”

Loch and Hael stared at me, their eyes sparkling with intrigue. “What did you have in mind, mouse?”

I smirked as I imagined all the riches that were just over the horizon.

“Let’s open a casino.”
