Sweaty Bodies🌶️

The Twin Dragons Series: Requiem City

MADDIE

It’s been four days since we cleaned the rubble out of Club Emerald’s stadium. Since Summer returned and healed as many dragons as she could.

~Including Rex. ~

On the dance floor, I follow Beatrice’s movements beside Thea and Hazel. We’re doing some sort of Zumba mix, a mixture of running in place and throwing our limbs every which way.

Beatrice designed the lesson to help us relieve some stress.

To get us to be present and let loose some tension from the attack.

Sweat flies off my head as I elbow the air, raise my knees, and jerk my hips.

Thea glances over at me and smiles.

“Work it, girl!”

Beatrice nods approvingly, but Hazel is emotionless, like usual. She moves like she’s in a trance…

Like she’s completely forgotten about what happened.

Maybe she can pull away from the attack like that.

~It’s not like she lost anyone close to her.~

My chest tightens, and we break for water.

~Thank god. ~

I run off to a corner of the room and drink from my water bottle.

Thea throws an arm around my shoulder. “Damn, you were on fire today!”

I know what she means, yet my mind drifts to the image of dragon flame-scorching slayers. Of the slayers slashing down innocents.

“Geez, Maddie, you okay?” Thea asks.

“~Fine~,” I reply all too quickly.

Truth is, I can’t stop thinking about Adara. About Darren. About their lifeless bodies lying next to one another.

If a mate dies, their other half dies too.

Loch is being reckless. Scarily so.

~What if he does something stupid to get himself killed, and he fucks up mine and Hael’s life?~

“Bullshit you’re fine,” Thea says, sitting beside me on the gym mat. “Tell me what’s troubling you.”

She waves Hazel over.

~Oh great. What is this, group fucking therapy? ~

I slump into a ball on the floor, bringing my knees to my chest.

Hazel struts over in a white sports bra and high-waisted white leggings. I can see the outline of her thong sticking to the sweat marks on her toned hips.

“What’s up?” Hazel asks.

She stares at me with big brown eyes. She kneels beside me and places a tender hand on my forearm.

~Maybe I have her all wrong.~

Maybe I don’t need to keep this all inside.

When I’m with Loch and Hael, ~especially now~, I feel like I need to appear strong. To represent the Dobrzycka name.

But right now, I just need a good cry.

And that’s exactly what I do.

I sob quietly on Hazel’s shoulder while Thea rubs my back.

“Hael and I left the arena to go fuck,” I cry, laying it out flat for them. “If we were there, maybe we could have saved Adara.”

Hazel scoops me into her arms and hugs me tightly.

“Stop that,” she whispers. “You’re not to blame for the crimes of the demented.”

On that last word, I can feel her grip tighten.

~She wants revenge, just like I do. ~

I allow myself to cry, not caring what I look like, not cutting off the tears.

Every emotion I let swarm out of me, and I let myself feel.

I’ve always had a deep connection to Thea for her true-blue loyalty, but I feel something else while I’m in Hazel’s arms.

~I feel like I’ve got a bigger sister watching over me…~

HAZEL

Well, that was unexpected.

My loose bun bobs against the back of my neck as I exit the dance studio.

I never would have expected Maddie to dump her emotions on the table like that.

I’ve heard she’s as hard as a steel pipe in a brick wall.

And although I don’t know her that well, I’m glad she opened up.

Almost as glad as I am to see…

“Hello, butterfly,” Rex says, a wide grin on his face.

He’s perched on a wall outside the studio, sweat trickling down his face.

“Just got out of a workout too?” I ask, walking past him. “I’m glad you’re feeling better.”

Since I’ve slept with him, things have been weird. I couldn’t see him while he was recovering and being healed by Summer.

~But he’s all I thought about.~

He grabs my wrist. I gasp softly and he pulls me to his chest.

His stiffness rubs against me through his black gym shorts.

There are only thin pieces of workout fabric stopping us from…

“Move in with me,” he says.

I scoff.

I like him, and I can buy this whole mate thing, but that’s ~quick~ for a girl like me.

“You had my husband’s head in a bag.”

Rex runs a hand down my sweaty back and traces a finger along the waist of my leggings. He reaches the finger inside, grabs my thong, and snaps it against my hip.

My nipples harden under my white sports bra, and he can’t pull his eyes away.

“The head was a means of luring you to me,” he says with a shrug. “It served its purpose. It’s gone.”

“So Nick’s head was what you used to hex me? To get me obsessed with you?”

Rex smirks.

~Should I be angry? Or should I be happy that we found one another? ~

This entire world of magic and dragons and hexes is insane, and I don’t know everything about Rex, but still, I press myself against his erection.

Us being together feels like my purpose in life. Whatever else comes with that and the Sword Dancer name I’ll accept so long as it means…

Rex grunts under his breath and takes hold of my waist.

“Move in with me,” he repeats.

I play with his chest hair above his black tank top.

“That’s too fast,” I say, biting my lip.

“Oh, butterfly,” Rex chuckles, “I wasn’t asking. ~I was telling~.”

He grabs me by the wrist and leads me away. His dominance makes me so horny, and I can tell my wetness is showing through my leggings.

I stop in my tracks.

“I’m not coming with you,” I say.

Rex snaps his head at me.

I motion to my parked car at the end of the parking lot.

“Not until we…”

He knows what I’m about to say…

Moments later, we’re inside my car, the seats rolled down, and Rex peeling my sweaty leggings down my thighs.

He flips his enormous dick over his gym shorts and enters inside me. I’m so wet it slides right in.

Then we fuck.

We fuck as nobody has ever fucked before.

Screaming, grunting, his sweat falling on my chest and trickling down my abdomen.

Since we had sex, my muscles have developed faster.

~I have fucking abs now!~

Rex runs his hands down them.

A huge metal thud knocks the car down a few inches closer to the ground.

“We just broke the chassis,” I murmur, spreading my legs wider so Rex can get deeper.

I’d be in disbelief, but Rex ramming me the way he is has got me love-drunk.

Like the beast he is, he fucks faster, his body tensing.

I feel my orgasm coming on.

“OH REX! FUCK YES!”

Birds on a nearby electric wire caw and fly away.

I cum as Rex finishes, our bodies in perfect unison.

Rex bites down on my neck and draws blood from me while his dick bursts a second blast of hot seed into me.

His tongue tickles my neck as he licks up the blood, and suddenly another orgasm takes over my body.

I grip his muscular arms, feeling the steel that is his biceps.

~I never want to let go. ~

We catch our breaths.

“Fine, I’ll move in,” I whisper, guiding a hand across Rex’s chiseled jaw. “But you’ll need to drive. My car is ruined.”

I’ve never even been pulled over for a speeding ticket, and now my car is totaled because I got fucked so hard in it…

“Good,” Rex says, wiping some of my blood from the corner of his mouth. “I’ll need more feeding soon.”

My laugh has a hint of anger to it.

~Is that all I’ll be? A feeding tube?~

No, I want more. ~Deserve~ more.

I’m about to protest when I think back to Maddie. Everyone in Req City knows her story.

They know how her voice can control the dragons.

And if I’m a second coming…

Maybe I can control them too.

I spank Rex playfully and bite down on his lip.

“I don’t have a lot of stuff, babe, so let’s get moving.”

Rex’s brow arches.

~I think he likes being called babe. ~

I’ll figure out a way to make this work.

And I’ll figure out what powers the Sword Dancer possesses while I do so…
