Chapter 706
The First Heir
âArgh! Iâll talk! Iâll tell you! Please spare me!â
The man had torn his mask to pieces and scratched his face until it was bloody. It was truly a horrifying
sight to the eyes.
Philip was pleased. It seemed that this pill was quite effective. He said, âPrepare more for future use.â
âOne million each,â Rick said solemnly.
Philipâs face turned dark. This brat must have been too poor in his past life!
âThe Beauty Killers! The Beauty Killers sent us!â
The man was enduring great pain to squeeze this sentence from his throat, then he cried and begged
Philip to let him go.
Philipâs expression sank as his brows furrowed!
The Beauty Killers?
He turned to Rick and asked, âCan you check?â
Rickâs face also changed as he said, âNo need for that. I know this group.â
Philip snorted, looked at the other guy, and said, âIf you donât want this to continue, go back and tell
your boss not to cause any more trouble for me. Otherwise, I have 100 ways to make all of you
disappear from this world!â
âYes⦠Okay, Iâll bring your words back to my boss!â
The man with broken arms nodded repeatedly at this moment, his eyes full of fearâEspecially when he
watched his companion scratching himself to death alive. The last line of defense in his heart
completely collapsed!
These two men were monsters!
After this issue was resolved, Philip turned to Rick and asked, âHave I offended the Beauty Killers?â
Rick looked worried and said, âThe person you met at the hospital the other day, Margot Pearson,
belongs to this group. Her position isnât low either.â
Margot Pearson?
It turned out to be that woman.
Interesting.
Philip squeezed his chin and pondered slightly before walking straight out of the suite.
Philip returned to First Palace, and in the living room, he saw Martha and Charles sitting there plotting
something.
Seeing that Philip was back, Martha pretended to be innocent and glanced at him furtively.
Philip ignored her, turned around, and headed upstairs.
After he went up, Martha grabbed Charlesâ arm and said while winking, âSo? Are you going to talk to
him or should I?â
Charles thought for a moment before he replied, âIâll go. You sit here quietly and donât cause trouble.â
After speaking, Charles stood at the foot of the stairs and shouted upstairs, âPhilip, can you come down
for a moment? I have something to discuss with you.â
Very soon, Philip walked down with his arms crossed and looked at Charles. He also glanced at Martha
who was sitting cross-legged on the sofa eating nuts. He asked, âDad, whatâs up?â
Charles pretended to cough before he said, âAh, itâs like this Philip. Just donât take this matter to heart
after I say it. Your mother and I are wondering if we should get a different babysitter for Mila. Anne only
knows how to bring Mila out to play all day long and doesnât do other things properly. Itâs not too good
for Mila in the long run.â
Philip frowned, looked at Martha, and asked, âIs this your idea?â
Martha did not deny it. She raised her chin and said, âYes, itâs my idea. Just look at that nanny you
hired. She only plays with Mila all day long. Youâd better change to another one. I happen to know that
your auntâs daughter has just graduated and is looking for work to do.â
The main reason was the auntâs family had begged her for help, so Martha agreed because of her
pride.
Now, all they had to do was drive Anne away.
âNo, Iâm the one who hired Anne.â
Philip threw down these words and turned to leave.
Martha became anxious. She got up, smashed a cup, and chastised, âPhilip, Iâm your mother-in-law,
after all. Why donât you listen to me?! Iâll just tell you honestly. Anne has already been driven away by
me! You have no other choice but to accept it! The daughter from the auntâs family will start working
here tomorrow!â
Instantly!
Philip paused, turned around, and stared at Martha grimly. He roared, âWhat did you say? You chased
Anne away?!â
Philip was livid!
Anne Foster was one of the few people he wanted to take care of.
This was because she was like his own sister.
âThatâs right! So what? Are you going to hit me?â
Martha was so anxious that she was desperate.
Charles was watching at the sidelines and quickly persuaded, âThatâs enough, stop bickering. Why
donât we discuss this again tomorrow?â
âNo! Whatâs there to discuss?! Heâd rather hire someone from the outside than his own family!â
When Martha was unreasonable, she was not afraid of anybody.
Philip was angry. He walked toward Martha and shouted, âMartha Yates, are you really looking for a
beating?â
âHaha, Philip Clarke, who are you shouting at? I just fired someone. Why, are you going to beat me?
Come on, hit me if you have the balls!â
Martha put up a brave front, raised her face, and leaned in toward Philip.
