Chapter 3057
The First Heir
Fennel frowned and said, âItâs difficult to say. Among the forces in Cochly Mountain, itâs not that easy to
deploy so many experts at once. Moreover, the other partyâs targets are you and Janike.â
âYou have no contact with Cochly Mountain, so it doesnât make sense for so many people to come after
you. Even if there were, it should only be those few.â
âWhich ones?â Philip asked.
âFirst, the Lovelace family. They know youâre here and want to kill you, but that doesnât match up with
the message Wynn left you earlier. I donâ t think the Lovelace family wants to kill you but to use you to
achieve their ulterior motives insteadâ¦â
âSecond, the people from the Nonagon. You have a grudge against Cooper Berry, so his intent to kill
you is greaterâ¦â
âThirdâ¦â Fennel did not continue but frowned.
Philipâs face darkened and said, âWhoâs the third?â
Fennel said, âThis is the last thing I want. Someone in Cochly Mountain wants you dead. If thatâs the
case, it means that someone in Cochly Mountain has already collaborated with the enemy, or those
lurking in the dark may not be one of our kindâ¦â
Hiss!
Hearing this, Philip frowned. He shared the same thought. If that was really the case, things would be
much trickier.
That was because it would mean that there were foreign enemies within Cochly Mountain, or there was
an enemy who might be the same as Fitzgerald Hale, from the other shore. The latter was the last thing
that Philip wanted to see.
If the last possibility was the case, this problem would be huge.
It meant that more existences from the other shore were hiding in this world, plotting some scheme that
was enough to wreak havoc on the human race.
âI thought of this too, but. what do you think are the chances?â Philipâs eyes darkened.
Fennel shook his head and said, âI canât say for sure, but this situation isnât impossible. With Fitzgerald
Hale as an example, the probability of other existences from the other shore in this world has increased
dramatically. We can only confirm our speculations when we enter the main city.â
Philip nodded.

The next day.
Philip and his party crossed the vast snow-capped mountains and finally arrived at the main city.
Outside the main city gate, Commander Greene and the five marquises were already waiting for them.
When Philip and the others finally appeared, the five marquises smiled and said, âWeâve been waiting
for a day.â
Philip stepped forward and said, âGentlemen, we meet again.â
The five marquises smiled and said, âPlease dispense with the formalities, Young Patriarch Clarke.â
After saying that, they looked at Janike behind Philip and said, âYouâre too reckless. Your sudden
departure has almost caused a catastrophe. Do you know that?â
Janike looked aggrieved, stepped forward, and said, âGrandpas, Iâm back now, arenât I?â
The five marquises looked at Janike dotingly and said to Philip and the others, âFollow us into the city.
Youâre safe here.â
Philip smiled and glanced at Fennel.
He was confused. He thought it would be very difficult to enter the city, but now it seemed that the five
marquises had been waiting for them.
Fennel shook his head, indicating to Philip not to alert the enemy.
Soon, they entered the city.
The main city of Cochly Mountain was not that big, with only several office buildings and facilities.
There were some guards stationed nearby, and a few advanced combat weapons. There were dozens
of building facilities, restaurants and bistros, and several recreational facilities that could be considered
quite complete.
After the five marquises brought Philip and the others into the main city, there was no mention of the
previous assassination attempts at all as if they did not know about it.
They followed the five marquises and watched as Janike entered an office building.
âPhilip, Iâll look for you in a few days,â Janike reluctantly waved at Philip and the others before she
turned around and followed the staff in.
At the door, aside from Philip and the others, only Owen Greene and some of his guards remained.
The five marquises had already left. After all, they had more important things to do than entertain
Philip.
âYoung Patriarch Clarke, weâve made your lodging arrangements. Please come with me,â Owen said
with a smile.
Philip nodded and followed Owen to a nearby training camp. Before entering, they felt the indifference
and killing intent of everyone in this training camp.
