Philip frowned and said, “I don’t like killing. If you attack again, I won’t show any mercy!”

The creature seemed to understand his words, but due to its nature, it rushed toward Philip again!

Philip shook his head helplessly, reached out with his hand that had turned into a chimera arm, and

grabbed the little creature in the air. The little creature struggled violently in Philip’s hand, flapping its

wings constantly.

As Philip was about to interrogate the creature, a young girl with two ponytails and twinkling big eyes

came running over. She was wearing a pleated skirt and had a black collar around her neck. The young

girl looked about 17 or 18 years old, cute and energetic.

She ran over with clenched fists, jumped into the air, and hugged the little creature dotingly. She

rubbed the little creature with her face and said sweetly, “Blackie, I finally found you. I thought I lost

you!”

The girl fell to the ground but still hugged the creature tightly as if she was unafraid of pain. The

creature looked at Philip in despair, struggling with its claws. Its eyes were full of tears as if begging

Philip to take it away.

When the girl stood up with the creature in her arms, she walked up to Philip, looking a little foolish and

cute. She bent down at a 90-degree angle, which sprung her two ponytails forward. She said, “Thank

you for finding Blackie for me.”

The creature in the girl’s arms looked proud and aloof as it glared at Philip resentfully. With that said,

the girl turned to leave.

Philip stopped her. “Wait a minute…”

The girl turned around, tilted her head, smiled cutely at Philip, and said, “What’s the matter?”

Philip stroked his chin, glanced at the girl, and asked, “What’s that in your arms?”

“It’s Blackie,” the girl said with a smile, revealing two dimples.

“It doesn’t seem to be something that should exist in this world,” Philip said.

The girl looked at Philip nervously and asked, “What do you want to do? This is my pet. Although it

looks a little strange, it won’t harm anyone.”

Philip looked at the little creature in the girl’s arms coldly and said, “It appeared in my house just now. I

want to know why.”

The girl looked down at the creature in her arms and said, “Blackie must have sensed something in

your house.”

Hearing that, the creature nodded to Philip in a human-like manner and gestured with two paws.

Philip could not figure it out and asked, “What does it mean?”

The girl replied, “Um, Blackie said a smell that it once feared appeared in your house.”

‘A smell that it feared?’ Philip frowned and asked, “And who are you?”

The girl hesitated before she replied, “A-Actually, I ran away from home. Please don’t call the police. I

don’t want to go back. I just want to come out and see the outside world.”

Philip was taken aback, wondering if something was wrong with this girl. She actually told others so

easily that she ran away from home.

Shaking his head helplessly, Philip said, “Little girl, there are many bad people outside. You should go

home quickly…”

With that said, Philip turned around and left.

The creature in the girl’s arms yowled at the girl, whose eyes twinkled as she said, “Blackie, are you

serious? You sensed your kind in his body?”

Then, the girl followed Philip sneakily.

Philip frowned, looked back, stopped in his tracks, and turned around. The girl had her head lowered

and bumped into Philip. She exclaimed and rubbed her forehead.

“’Why are you following me?” Philip asked.

The girl pouted and said, “I have nowhere to go. Can I follow you?”

Philip said in exasperation, “Of course not. Where do you live? I’ll get someone to take you back.”

The girl kept shaking her head and refused to say a word. Philip was helpless and decided not to care

about her. He turned to leave, but the girl followed him.

Several old men with gray hair gathered near the stargate with dark faces.

“Oh no, the guardian maiden of the stargate has run away with the little one!”
