Chapter 1674
The First Heir
As soon as Philip said that, Joey, Otis, and the others could not help chuckling.
Those words sounded like wishful thinking! Was Philip Clarke not right in the head?
Why would the alcohol sellers refuse to buy their cheap and premium alcohol that was produced
locally? That would be no different from asking them to bear losses. Even if Philip knew Victor and had
a bit of money, could he restrict the entire alcohol industry in Uppercreek?
Joey said, âOkay, Iâll make this bet with you today! If you can do it, Iâll reverse my name from now today
onward!â
Philip smiled lightly and said, âAs you wish!â
With that said, he picked up his phone and dialed a number.
âYou!â
The veins on Joeyâs forehead throbbed with anger. He wanted to step forward but Victor and his men
stood next to him like Philipâs protectors. Joey could only give up.
This was also why Philip stopped keeping Joey hostage after Victor showed up. After so many events,
Philip had put more trust in Victor by now.
Joey said, âOkay, fine. Do you think youâre the only one who knows how to make calls? Iâll call
someone too! Iâll make sure you wonât be able to leave today!â
Joey wanted to pick up his phone to call someone but realized that his phone had just been smashed
on the floor by Philip. Hence, he used the companyâs phone on the side and dialed a number.
âHello, Mr. Saunders? Hey, itâs me, Joey Cullen. Iâve been besieged by a group of people and this kid
even claims that he wants to boycott me from the alcohol industry in Uppercreek!â
The person on the other end of the line was called Mr. Saunders, and he could be heard cursing,
âDamn, which idiot dares to say such things? Okay, buddy, donât worry about it. Iâll bring some people
with me to help you settle things. Youâre at your brewery, right? Iâll be right there. Itâs a riot to boycott
the alcohol king of Uppercreek! Letâs see who dares to be so lawless!â
Mr. Saunders was still cursing angrily when he suddenly received another call.
Mr. Saundersâ voice suddenly became flustered as he quickly said to Joey, âUh, buddy, thereâs another
call that I need to answer. Itâs too important and I dare not reject the call. Just wait for me for a while. Iâll
bring some people over as soon as I finish this call!â
With a click, Mr. Saunders ended the call.
Joey did not notice anything unusual and sneered at Philip instead. The meaning was obvious. When
those people arrived, Philip would be dead!
Then, after a minute, Joeyâs office phone rang! The caller ID displayed Mr. Saundersâ munber.
After Joey picked up the call, he asked, âHello, Mr. Saunders, are you here already?â
Mr. Saunders could be heard stammering, âUmm, I donât think I can go now. Also, Joey, I have to
inform you that we wonâ t be working with you anymore. Buddy, I have to say that youâre in deep trouble
this time! Take care!â
With that said, the call ended!
Joeyâs heart was in turmoil.
